It all started out as a simple cruise in the Caribbean. An unexpected storm came along, causing everyone on ship to evacuate OR DIE. Almost everyone got safely off the ship, but the winds got strong so that the giant group of lifeboats started to split off. One group of lifeboats had 10 people made it onto an island, and it looked like no one else was there. The refugees decided to make this their home, and named the island Isola. Now they must live on Isola unless they get rescued.

His cousins died during the ship sinking, and Jerricho has been alone ever since. He has a nice personality, and he's always smiling. He was still in college. He had a girlfriend in Korea. He misses her still.

ACCEPTED! IM GONNA START NOW BUT PEOPLE CAN STILL JOIN. ^btw relationship means if you fall in love with someone on the island Alice looked around The Shore, trying memorize every detail of her new home called Isola. Some of the people here appeared that they would make do with their new home. Others....would have a hard time adjusting. At least there wouldn't weren't any 500 pound survivors addicted to Twinkies. Alice walked over to where the life boat was ditched. Almost immediately she found some flare and its matching gun.  

"Perfect." Alice whispered to herself and smiled. But what should she do with the flares? Shoot then now or wait. Alice walked over yo where he group was huddeled around a fire.

"Hey guys,I found some flares. When should we fire them?"</p>

Zander looked over at Alice and the flares.

" I say once we get familiar with the island we would be able to find the best place to shoot them, ya know where someone might see them? Or if we happen to see a ship or a plane." He said looked around the island. As far as he could tell it was pretty small but you never know with islands in the middle of no where. He was exited to check out the jungle behind him.

I look around. I see Alice. She's holding some flares.

"WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE!? FIRE THEM! NOW!" I almost yell. I just want to go back home. I hate it here. Work Work Work. I can't relax, or else we'd be dead. I have to harvest food. And if you think that's hard enough, I can't use salt water, or else the crops. It's hard to find fresh water here. And the crops aren't foods I'm used to. Corn. What's that? One of the islanders told me about the crop. It tastes bland. I'm more used to studies. Not work.

Maya squeezed the water out of her hair and looked at the flares in Alice's hands. "Zander's right and we could find some herbs in that jungle over there." She said, got up and wiped the sand off here pants. "Alrighty then. why dont we start by looking for something to eat?" she said. All my money saved just to end up stranded, she thought, we at least im nott alone

Zack watched as Alice and others tried to formulate a plan of how to use the flares.

"I agree with maya we should try and find some food and water"...

"Hey wait!!!!! in the crates that washed up to the shore do you think theres a chance that supplys could be stacked inside?"

Zack said as he looked around trying to locate the shipwrecked crates.

Zaden jumped up.

" Ya i bet they got washed down the shore by the current!" He said already running down the beach he could tell the island was circular because he wasn't running long before the group was dissapearing from view. His attentionwas brought back by the site of a crate.

"Found one!" He yelled cupping his hands around his mouth.

Maya jogged over to Zander and looked at the crate. "I wonder what's inside it." she thought rubbing her hand on the top. Maya started to attempt to pull the top off. After a minute she relaxed and tried again. "Uugh, this thing is on pretty tight." said as she removed her hands from the crate. They were a bit red. Maya looked at the crate again for a label of some sort; there was none. Darn it, she thought, what could be in there?

Alice picked up a nearby rock and started hitting the crate with the rock. The crate renamed he same. "Dam. Well maybe we can open that later, and maybe use the crate for firewood and save whatever's inside of their for later. I think a group of us should do some exploring in the jungle. Maybe there's some natives here. The rest should stay here and should keep an eye on the flares." Alice gave a quick look at Jerricho. "Who wants to to go in the jungle with me?"

I walk to Maya and Zander. Alice tried to open a crate, but failed.

Owch... I think, when I see Maya's hands red.

I look at the crate.

"Guys, we can't just open the crate. We need to find a small opening. A hole maybe? A screw?" I try to say. I look around the crate, turning it over. Suddenly, I see a little crack.

"Voila. Now, we just need to find a way to make that hole bigger. Now, how?" I ask.

Alice asks us if we want to go to the jungle.

"I will." I say. I'm bored out of my mind. I guess I'll need to do something, sooner or later.

Zander found a sharp looking stick and stuck it into the crack. He wiggled it around until he heard a loud crack. Zander jumped in surprise then found the crack had grown to cover the entire side of the crate.

" Hmm maybe now it will be easier to split open with that rock." He said picking up the rock and smashing it against the crate. He rested when he had a hole that was big enough for him to fit his arm through. First he peaked inside, seeing nothing moving he stuck in his arm and found a handle. He pulled it out to find a shiny red box.

" A tool box maybe?" He said setting it onto the sand. Zander was tempted to go to the jungle with Alice but decided against it.

" I think I'll stay here and look for more crates."

<p>Alice nodded. "That's fine. But I suggest that anyone going with me into the jungle knows some herbs or how to hunt. We need to use everyone's abilities to their fullest extent. Who knows how long we'll stay." She looked at the red box. "And maybe whatever's in there can help us. Living here with no technology will be hard for all of us, and we need all the help we can get."

" Well i hunt with my uncle but i would need to find a gun in one of these crates. If I do and there is live on this island we won't have a food problem." Zander said clicking open the tool box going through it.

" Oh take this." He said finding a small flahlight in the box.

" Incase it gets dark on ya." Then his attention was brought back to the tool box he shuffled through all the tools. What luck. He thought then stuck his arm back into the crate.

"Ok Zander, but I don't think that there would be a here. You might have to make a spear or something. Does anyone have any farming experience?" Alice looked around at the crowd. "Oh and does anyone else here have any medical experience? I'm a trained nurse and maybe someone can help me when someone gets sick."

"I have farming experience" I chime in. It's true. I tell her all about my knowledge, from what to eat, and what not to eat. The right color of the fruit you should eat, what you should not eat.

"I even have a little farm...near the back of the island.." I start saying. "So, am I in?"

"I know some things about medicine herbs and treating wounds." Maya said. Good thing i didnt zone out when my mom taught me this stuff, she thought. "Okay, so we have the medical problem done, what about building shelter?" She asked. "We can use some of the tools in that tool box." If we're going to be here for a while, mighy as well start building a home, she thought

''And thats my field of experties i'm a builder of sorts.''

Zack said while looking at the others.

''I just need wood, palm leafs, rope and i can make us a shelter....hopefully so i guess i should go get the supplies i'll need, hey is there a spare flashlight i don't want to get lost in the dark.''Zack asked
