Make way for the new king of CNET's download ladder.

Posted

After finally taking 1st place from AVG just over a week ago by a comfortable margin Avast has belted AVG by nearly half a million downloads in the past week.

AVG failed to reach the weekly aim of one million downloads. A uncommon occurrence. While Avast was close to 1.5 million a rare feat overall on CNET.

Avast was also nearly one million downloads ahead of the 3rd place YouTube Downloader.

Is this a sign that people have finally realised that Avast Free Antivirus is the number one free antivirus program? Only time will tell.

Also Google Chrome has stormed up to 5th. Which clearly makes it the most downloaded web browser on CNET by far in the past week.

Let's see what happens this week.

This week people were downloading shit off the internet. Apparently, this is big news.
