I have seen a lot of stories that sorta seem to forget certain elements of their world and contradict themselves in later episodes/chapters/arcs/ectect. I would like to know what shows/manga.comics/cartoon/anime/movies/video games/books ect ect have the best consistency with their story lines and stay true to the rules they have established.

I find that the stories with no consistency between series are the best, which is why I love the Fate series. The series between them are mostly alternate versions, so you get a little bit of everything. Nothing's really canon!

 

Ex: The anime/game "Fate/StayNight" was the original version of the story. "Fate/Unlimited Blade Works" was the movie/alternate version of the story. The manga combined both "Stay Night" and UBW, creating yet another story. Then there's "EXTRA", "ZERO", "Hollow Ataraxia", you might be able to call "Unlimited Codes" its own story...

 

You get a little bit of everything!

The Elder Scrolls seems to be quite consistent, as does the Fallout series.

 

I think Bethesda takes the cake.
