I DON'T UNDERSTAND SORRY!

I think it's maybe because of the deep bond that both Sora and Ventus share that both Sora and Riku have to fight a Dream Eater Nightmare Ventus's Keyblade Armour based enemy.

Or it could be that they're in the "Realm of Sleep" and we know that Ventus is "sleeping", so i believe that it could have something to do with that.

Maybe vanitas took over him again haha just like when you have to face off against Ven-Vanitas in birth by sleep as Aqua...no haha I'm sure there's a better reason than that.

Maybe the dream eater Ventus Armor is the main cause of Dream Eaters due to the Sadness that Ventus has and since he's in the realm of sleep, all the sadness and dark took form as Dream Eaters.

and now,

if they destroy that dream eater armor, they'll probably get rid of all the Dream Eaters and perhaps wake Ventus up.

except Dream Eaters aren't bad (Nightmare maybe, but not really) and in the ending Sora is playing with one . . .Dream eaters are natural creatures like heartless and nobodies.
