(Although it was never specified in FF: Incarcerated, this RP takes place in NYC. For me, at least. I'll probably leave anyway.)

Callum turned off the TV and looked at his clock. It was 2:00 A.M. He couldn't sleep ever since he learned a powerful game villain was inside him. Vanitas. Ever since Vanitas possessed him (If he did, maybe he was in there since birth, so gained influence) Callum had been a jerk. He didn't have any friends now. I hate you, Vanitas! He heard a scoff. Really? Do you? Callum summoned his keyblade. "I won't let this take me over. Vanitas, you won't win." His void gear looked ominous. Too ominous.

Cyrus had quickly pulled up alot of information pertaining Saix, complete with a picture, his weapon, even some weirder things. Cyrus still looked through it, learning more and more about the person inside his head. Some information surprised him -He never cared about the Kingdom Hearts series- and he quickly put many things together.

 

"So, when you said a friend left you, that was Axel?"

 

"Correct. Everything on that page is correct, so why ask me?"

 

"But I have one more question! You said the other girl reminded you of 'Her' who is that? This Xion person? Or this person called Namine?"

 

Saix refused to asnwer. Cyrus didn't want to pry to far, so he left that alone. At that point his parents arrived, and he set his computer aside. The remainder of the night was quite silent, as Saix remained so. Without Saix's usual cold comments, it left Cyrus on edge. Eventually, Cyrus headed for bed.

Alex got bored an walked outside. Yeah, it was dark, but hey with parents out on vacation you can do just about anything...especially if you have and inhabitant.

'Why do i get the feeling there are others all the time.'

'What do you mean by others Roxas.'

'Others like us.'

'Other people with people like you in them.'

'Yup,there might be a place nearby, or they just left.'

'Well, i just got the chills, and i feel mad so i guess not far is Saix...maybe.'

'What about that house down that way.'

'I dont know, mixed.'

'So helpful.'

'I dont see you doing anything.'

'I am listening to you.'

'I...guess you helped a bit.'

'Thanks...i can never get that kind of recognition.'

'Shut up.'

Alex smiled and kept looking around at the houses and stuff, maybe Roxas was right. Maybe there were others like him.

“Okay, I'm ready,” Rebekah said, and she locked the front door behind her and got into Felix's car, taking the front seat so she could better give directions. She felt a little bad for not immediately opening up about being related to Mariah, but still...she hardly knew these people. Wait, what am I DOING?! she thought. I just met this guy like five minutes ago and I'm getting into his car?!

 

“Rebekah, you need to relax. Live a little!” Aqua laughed. “Felix won't hurt you, and even on the impossible chance that he tried, I don't think James would let him. You have no reason not to trust either of these guys.”

 

Aqua's words calmed Rebekah. I guess you're right. I'm just a little too suspicious of everyone. I'll try to be less so from now on.

 

“Great! Ready for your first real adventure?”

Keilani's face reddened ever-so-slightly from being pulled so close to Troy. Normally, she was perfectly comfortable with close proximity, but...this boy was so attractive.

 

Um, what do you think, Naminé?

 

“Y-yeah. It won't be the first time I've had to break bad news to someone. But I'll do what I can. I've never tried anything like this before. I'm guessing I'll have to search deep into Sora's memory for this.”

 

Trust me...you will, Keilani thought. She addressed Troy again. “Naminé would be glad to help! It'll be a breeze for her.”

 

“Keilani...” Naminé sighed.

 

Come on, confidence! I know you can do it. You underestimate yourself.

 

Naminé laughed just a little. “Well, thanks.”

 

“Anyway, let's keep going, before we're late to the show!” Keilani said eagerly.

(Aria and Noel)

Aria and Noel were behind the scenes getting ready for their interview inside and then they would go outside to perform. "I still cant believe we are here. I remember watching this show when I was a kid and now I am a wife and on the show." Aria said excitedly. "I cant believe it either, but it is so cool. Now we got to be ready for any questions that they ask, just no talking about 'you know what'." Noel said. Ann and Matt were talking about the missile that almost took down the Statue of Liberty last night. "A missile almost taking it down?" Noel asked as he heard the story. "You dont think that this is a new villian rising, do you?" Aria asked him. "I cant say for sure, but it seems like something big. But hey, lets not think about it, and just focus on being here." Noel said.

 

(Victoria and Paul)

 

Victoria and Paul were still hard at work covering this story. They were watching Today and listen to everything they knew. "So sometimes media is our best friend?" Paul asked Victoria. "Yeah, it sometimes provides clues. Wait, back that last part up, okay now zoom in on the missile." Victoria told her team. They made a clear picture of the missile go up. Victoria then noticed something about it, "It has 5P4J012 on it. Does anyone know what this means?" Victoria asked. Paul didnt want to answer at first, but looked over at Victoria, "That is a missile made by my dad, Peter Jackson. But how is it active, if my dad is dead? Could it be my brother?" Paul asked.

 

(Avan)

 

Avan had the tv on and set to Today. "Yes, fill the point with this coverage. Soon very soon, I will rule the world, and then everyone will bow to my power. I even know that Victoria and Paul will try and stop me along with this plan, which is why that is part of my plan." Avan made a dark laugh.

Callum stretched, and walked out the front door. He passed a car full of people and sensed they had Inhabitors. What? How was that possible? And all in one place? As he was going to approach them, a guy ran into him. "Hey, watch where you're going!" snarled Callum. The guy stepped back. "Sorry. I'm just looking for a guy. He's pretty tall. His name's Joy. You seen him?" Callum sighed. "No. who are you anyways?" They were near the car now, full of Inhabitors. The boy grinned, and said loudly. "I'm Calder! Glad to meet you!" Callum looked at him. "You wouldn't happen to have someone inside you, would you?" Calder's face went red. "Uh, Tidus. From Final Fantasy X." Callum looked at him. "And I have Vanitas."

James got in the car and went to sleep. Riku kept an eye out as he slept, making sure nothing went wrong.

Felix started backing out of the driveway, he heard the name Vanitas, but he couldn't make heads or tails of it. He turned the car to face west, looked at Rebekah and asked, "So, where is Mariah again?"

Troy and Keilani got through quickly, much faster than he'd thought they would, and quickly took their seats. Troy was acutely aware that Keilani hadn't let go of his hand yet, but he doubted she even noticed. He wasn't about to point it out however. It felt nice. Nervously, he ventured a light squeeze, holding her hand slightly tighter than he had before. In any case, it was time for the show to start. He just really hoped that she wouldn't regret inviting him.

Callum turned and watched as the car with the Inhabitors pull out. His heart stopped, losing the chance to talk to them. He turned, and looked down. Calder sensed what he had done. "Sorry, man. Hey, want to help me find Joy?" Callum gave him the evil eye. "Why should I?! You took away the only chance to meet Inhabitors!" Calder grinned. "Well, you met me, and when we meet Joy, that'll be three. Anyways, we'll meet them eventually. I know we will Can you please help me?" Callum nodded. "I have to. I'm not losing contact with any Inhabitor. They're...like me."

Alex saw all those people in the car, and te two that were talking together.

"What do you think Roxas?"

"Can't say...but I get a weird feeling I know some of these people with inhabiters"

"Which ones?"

"The one over there with the girl and the car mainly."

"I don't know them"

"Then let's go say hi, might as well find out huh."

"But it looks like they are leaving."

"Let's chase after them."

"Are you nuts!!! You want me to die!?"

"Just a suggestion."

Alex shook his head, if he didn't get killed from thi it would be too soon. "Oh man...hey wait!!" Alex ran to the mustang car trying tO see if h could get their attention.

“Um, yeah, so...I haven’t spoken to her in quite a while, but hopefully she’s living in the same place as she was last I saw her,” Rebekah said. She gave Felix the address of Mariah’s apartment building. “I have her number and I would call her right now, but I think it’s still too early in the morning.” She checked the time and saw that it was indeed about 4:30 A.M. “But when we go see her, if she’s even there, the two of you should stay behind for a little bit, and let me explain things to her. Especially about James. Then I’ll let you guys know when you can come in.”

 

Suddenly, she got an uneasy sensation. Aqua was on edge. What’s wrong, Aqua? she asked.

 

“We just passed another couple of Inhabiters. I didn’t like the way one of the presences felt. It was familiar...”

 

That can’t be good. She looked out the window behind them, and could barely make out two figures. It was impossible to see what they looked like in the shadows. She turned to Felix again. “Hey, Aqua tells me there were some other Inhabiters back there. But she didn’t like one of them. Think we should check it out?” Rebekah had no idea why she said that last part. Normally she would be way too scared to go straight into a potentially dangerous situation like that. Maybe it was Aqua’s influence.

 

“There’s another!” Aqua said in surprise. “Not malicious, though. But he feels familiar as well...”

 

Rebekah looked back again, seeing the boy chasing after their car. “Looks like he really wants to talk to us,” she observed.

Keilani looked over at Troy when he squeezed her hand. Does he like me? she wondered. Not that she minded. She hardly knew him, but so far he seemed like a cool person, and he was good-looking. Plus, Naminé seemed to enjoy Ven’s company, since his presence must feel so much like Sora’s. That was when disaster hit. Keilani could feel perspiration forming in her palm. Oh, noooo! she thought in despair. Well, if he liked me before, he probably won’t like me now. It was all she could do not to cringe outwardly. She thought of letting go of his hand to wipe the moisture off, but that would probably make the situation even more awkward.

Mariah woke up screaming. Again. Another nightmare. She’d had nightmares almost every night since the day Cain had been defeated the previous year. All her now deceased friends, trapped in Cain’s labyrinth, dying horrific deaths as she stood helplessly by, unable to move or even call out to them, as often happens in nightmares. And if they weren’t being killed in Cain’s labyrinth, they were defeated in battles by Caius, Ultimecia, Judge Gabranth, and Sephiroth. Sephiroth. That led to even worse nightmares: watching herself kill James. Seeing herself reach the katana back and stabbing him right through the heart. Seeing him slump to the ground, giving her a cold, hateful look for betraying him. Cursing her. Of course, that wasn’t exactly how it happened, but the mind has a way of twisting things around horribly.

 

And this led to the worst nightmares of all. Sometimes, as she was kissing James, he would turn into Joy right as Mariah stabbed him. And Joy would be asking why she betrayed him, why she had kissed James, and all she could do was kneel beside him and beg his forgiveness as he died in a pool of his own blood. Her cure materia would never work, no matter how many times she tried to use it to revive him.

 

Mariah moved to the edge of her bed and sat there with her head in her hands. At first, she would end up in tears immediately following the nightmares. But after than first month or so, her tears were completely spent. Now all she could do was sit there numbly and wish for it all to go away. Wish to take back the things she had done, and above all...that Joy would somehow miraculously come back. After seeing his body disappear, she could only conclude that he was dead. The fact that he had been missing for a year only strengthened that conclusion.

 

Mariah shook her head, and went into the bathroom to wash her face. She surveyed the bottles of pills that sat on the counter. Sleeping pills that she took only once in a while. Anti-depressants, which she never took. She then looked in the mirror, turned around and lifted up her shirt to examine her back for the hundredth time, staring at the two, long scars. Somehow, every time she looked at her back, she always hoped the scars would be gone, along with everything else she had experienced. There were also the dozens of small, white dots where the needles from the labyrinth hit her, as well as scars from other various scratches and gashes she endured from each battle.

 

“Mariah...” Tifa said gently. “You really are getting too thin. You need to take better care of yourself.” It wasn’t the first time Tifa had expressed her concern for Mariah’s weight loss. But Tifa knew there wasn’t much of a point in mentioning it that much anymore. Of course, she was right. Mariah could see her vertebrae jutting out beneath her skin.

 

She sighed. “Tifa, why are you still Inhabiting me? Not that I mind--you’ve been keeping me from going completely insane. But I would think that with Sephiroth defeated, and Cloud...gone, you wouldn’t have any further purpose here.”

 

“I honestly don’t know. Maybe it’s just that once I Inhabited you, I became inseparable from you for the rest of your life. Or maybe I do still have a purpose here...”

James woke up and asked "What's going on?" He sat up and looked around.

Alex was able to catch up with the car. He was panting from his sprinting. "Are any of you Inhabited by a character from a fictional game like kingdom hearts." Hwe already knew he sounded crazy. He couldnt believe he was saying this, to a bunch of people he didnt know.

"Alex, i am getting a familiar feeling fom one of them."

"Which one?"

"The one behind the steering wheel, i think i know him."

"If i end up a laughing stock i am so blaming you."

Alex looked at Felix. "Do you happen to know Roxas by any chance?"

(ok. couldn't resist the urge. joy agnsting time.)

Joy woke up, cold again. Of course, it was cold, but it must have been from the dreams he had been having. He stumbled over to the entrance to the cave, looking outside. He hoped it was a bad dream, but he knew it wasn't. He looked down at the blood stained bandages that wrapped around his whole chest and sighed. He glanced over at his shirt, and decided to go out jogging. He ran outside, and stopped. He didn't trust the world anymore. He turned back to the cave, and slung his Buster Sword over his back. This was good strengh training anyways. He ran down the small hill, and started running through the pastures. As he got close to the city, he stopped. He bit his lip, telling himself he promised not to go in there until he was ready. But he continued running anyways. He stopped at a busy street as people started to stare at him.

He gulped, realizing he must have looked weird while doing this. He then noticed he was near Mariah's apartment. He told his feet no, but next thing he knew, he was in front of her door. He gulped as his fist rapped on the door.

Calder watched the car drive further and further away. "Okay, Callum, let's get a move on." Callum shrugged. "Fine."

Mariah looked over at the front door, wondering who could possibly be visiting her at this hour. She crossed to the door and cautiously opened it just a little ways.

Joy gulped. "Uh, Mariah, It's me. Joy. Yeah, I'm still alive. Sorry for um.." He couldn't continue. His feet turned, and he started to walk away.

Calder smiled. "Let's go then."

Mariah gasped, and her eyes widened. This couldn’t be real. It had to be some sick joke. Still, it sounded just like him. She threw the door open the rest of the way and stepped out, seeing him walking away. It looked like him from the back. But she didn’t want to believe it. Not yet. This had to be another dream, because once again, she couldn’t move. “Joy,” she called after him hoarsely.

Joy stopped, and gulped. After this year, here he was running away like a coward. He hesitantly turned around, realizing how bad he must look. His hair was way past his shoulders and shaggy. He had bandages wrapped around him where a shirt would be, and blood stained it where his wounds hadn't healed. "So, how are things?"

Calder walked down the street, whistling a song. Callum rolled his eyes. "Would you cut that out?" Calder shook his head. "You gotta stay bright and cheery."

Mariah was a little surprised at Joy’s appearance, but the fact that he looked different made this seem less like a dream. She knew that she must look different to him as well. Too thin and bony, dark circles under her eyes, cheeks slightly sunken in, and hair a mess from tossing and turning in bed. She noticed her mouth was hanging open, and she closed it. She also realized Joy had asked her something...what was it? ‘So, how are things?’

 

“Um...could be better,” Mariah finally choked out. She regained the ability to move her legs, and she walked toward him slowly. “How about yourself?”

(Aria and Noel)

 

When Aria and Noel were finally brought out, they took their sits. "Here we have two stars from the new movie, 'Kingdom Hearts Uprising', in theaters this summer. Noel, Aria, it is such a preasure to have you on the show." Matt said. "It is an honor, Matt." Aria said. "So you come off from the music video that premered at the same time around the world to become what you are now. How do you feel about what has occured for you in only one year?" Matt asked. "Well Matt, it has really been quite a year. At first, we only knew that we would be in a movie together, but then one thing led to another and now we are here." Noel said. "Well, in the movie, Aria you play as an assian keyblade weilder, and you Noel play as a flight instructure that gets caught up in an adventure. Was any of these roles hard for you?" Matt asked. "Actually for the most part, it was pretty easy. I come from a family that worked for the government so all I had to do was remember what my father used to tell me in his stories and then I was able to make the prefect role." Aria said. "And I used to go to a flight school, until I found that it was something that I didnt want to do, and I dropped out to become a drummer." Noel said. "Well, we actually have a clip for your new movie, lets show it." Matt said. They then showed a clip from the movie.

Justin was teaching in his flight school, when the bell rang. "Okay class, we will finish up tomorrow then move onto seeing a real plane." Justin said. The class left, and Justin was about to sit down when April and Kona walked into the class room. "Mr. Ginger?" April asked the man. "Yes?" Justin said. "Hi, we are April and Kona. We heard that you knew how to fly a plane. We need someone's help to get us to somewhere we need to go and we need the person to be professional." April said. "Yes, and what is this place that you need to get to?" Justin asked the lady. "Home." Kona said.

 

(Aria and Noel)

 

"So, how was it working with Johnny Depp?" Matt asked. "Working with Mr. Depp is actually a true honor. He is just a great guy who ended up being more funny in real life then on screen." Aria said. "Well we will be back with you two later when you perform. We will be right back." Matt said. The show then went to commerical. "Once again, it is really a treat for you two to be here, big fan, big fan." Matt said and walked away. Aria and Noel went backstage and went to their dressing room to get ready for their performance.

 

(Avan)

 

'You were thaught well, Avan.' Master Xehanort told him. "Yes, I was. Before you showed up, I ended up almost causing another world war. Whenever they talk about how the world is going to end, they are really talking about me." Avan said. He then pressed another button and then the sea around the island started shaking hard.

 

(Victoria and Paul)

 

"Sir, we are tracking that the ocean around the island is starting to shake rapidly." Agent 21 said. Victoria looked at the monitor. "This is more of a game then we thought. Can someone indicate where Avan is located on the island?" Victoria asked. "No sir, we are in the working of it though." Agent 67 said. "I cant believe that my brother is this evil. This is not good, not good at all." Paul said.

Joy gulped. "Um, not very good, I guess. I always thought I died, but um, apparently this drama wasn't finished with me yet. I woke up in a cave near here, and I've been trying to heal ever since." He took a good look at her, and she was very thin, and she looked tired. "What's up with you? You look pretty bad." Joy still wondered what happened to the rest of the people. He shrugged, and then looked at Mariah. "What, what happened to..." Before he could finish, a car drove by. Joy's eyes widened as he saw James.

“What is it?” Mariah asked. She hadn’t seen the car drive by, having kept her eyes on Joy the entire time. She was standing right in front of him now, debating whether to reach out her hand and touch his face. She wanted to kiss him so badly, but she was afraid that if she did try to touch him, he would simply vanish.

Joy's eyes narrowed. "Sorry, um, I'll be back." He gave her one sad look, but then smiled warmly. "I promise." He then jumped over the railing and ran straight after the car. He was right. There was no mistaking it. That was James. He needed answers, and fast, but from him. He tried running faster, but he felt his leg give way. He heard a crack, and his knee smashed on the ground. He groaned, and fell on his side.

Alex saw Joy fall to the ground holding his leg. 'Dont you guys stand there we need to help.' Alex ran over to Joy and tried to put his leg in a comfortable position so he could lay down right.

'Not good i am no doctor.'

'You should be.'

'That is no help Roxas.'

'You guys, get over here...Axel!!' As the name came from his mouth he covered it and knew who to blame.

'There i helped a little.'

' I dont want to be shouting random names here!'

'I know Axel is inhabited by someone over there, i just helped.'

Mariah slumped to the floor, her strength sapped. “So it must’ve been a dream...” she said, dazed. Why was she surprised? She got up slowly and walked to the railing Joy had just jumped over. Instead of seeing no one, like she expected, she could see Joy a short distance away, chasing a car, then smashing his knee on the ground. “No, it has to be real,” she breathed.

 

“It is,” Tifa said quietly, hardly able to believe it herself. “I could sense Cloud. It was faint, but I could still feel him there.”

 

With that, Mariah ran back inside her apartment, reached deep inside a drawer, and grabbed her cure materia, which she hadn’t used since Cain’s defeat. She then ran to the railing and could see someone helping Joy. “Right,” she said, getting ready to spring.

 

“Mariah, what are you doing? You’re not strong enough right now!”

 

“Then help me out!” Mariah said, and without further hesitation, she jumped over the side, grabbing on to other rails and tree branches below to slow her fall, and landed smoothly. “Nothing to worry about,” she said, but she was already getting breathless as she ran to Joy’s side. She brought the materia out of her pocket and willed it to heal Joy, but nothing happened. "Seriously?!" she exclaimed in exasperation. "Joy, are you okay?"

 

 

(I figured that since this is a KH RP, and materia is a Final Fantasy thing, it would no longer work in this world.)
