April 10, 201213 yr A vaccine is not the same thing as a cure. Vaccines are preventative medicines. You take them before you have an illness in order to prevent getting it. A cure is something you take when you already have something. If you get your flu shot when you already have the flu you aren't going to feel better, probably worse. While a vaccine is wonderful step forward it won't be nearly enough to effectively stop cancer. While 90% of cancers may become extremely rare or eliminated altogether the remaining 10% will only become stronger.
