Posted April 23, 201213 yr Um, i was wondering. Who did Ventus 'touch' hearts with at the very beginning before you choose your character? I played the game twice looking for the answer and i still didn't find it. I was thinking maybe Sora but that happened at the end.

April 23, 201213 yr Definitely Sora. In the game, it says something like This place it feels familiar. You gave me a second chance when I needed it the most" Something along those lines, either way it definitely establishes it was Sora.
April 23, 201213 yr Like everyone has said, it was Sora. Have you played the Final Episode or watched the cutscenes from it? That's pretty much the dead giveaway.
April 23, 201213 yr Well... the thing seems to be that when Master Xehanort divided Ven's heart, Sora was just born and he had an incomplete heart. They could connect their hearts because of that. When Ventus 'destroyed' Vanitas, the piece of heart that was left returned to Sora, and so, Ven said "this place looks familiar" and recognized it as Sora's, then asking him for permission to stay there until he could awake I can't remember if that's a theory my friend and I made, or something we read before lol; but sounds logical to us~
April 23, 201213 yr It was Sora and this is the reason Vanitas looks like Sora but in a darm version. I the book it is said that Vanitas was a creature created of darkness that had Red Eyes. But Ven's hearts recoverd because of Sora's
April 23, 201213 yr tutti frutti. Basically what everyone else had stated. Ven's heart was damaged due to Master Xehanort removing the darkness inside Ven and creating Vanitas.
