Reputation is basically just points that people can gain or lose depending really of if a person is liking the other member or not. It's kind of an ego booster, and nothing really more. There's no real rewards other than friendship and respect that you gain out of reputation points. You can get positive and negative, but usually most people just do positive.

 

Just give it some time, and be a good active member like you already are, the rep points will come sooner or later. <3
