Could you imagine if ALL KH cutscenes were in CGI?

What's everyone mean by "CGI"? Isn't CGI just any animation done by computer with 3D models? All of the cutscenes in Kingdom Hearts are CGI except for Chain of Memories (which just used sprites). Or is everyone here refering to the pre-rendered stuff? As for that... I don't really think it'd be necessary. I doubt it'd take away from the game (although I actually didn't like the way that certain scenes were re-made in the intros as much as I liked them the way that they occurred in-game) but there's nothing wrong with the way it is now. And there'd be problems with the players using various key chains and Drives unless they pre-rendered scenes for every possibility which would not work at all...

i think they should make a KH movie but not live action that would kill it, it needs to be like Advent Children. and preferably 6 hours long

KH wouldn't work well as a movie, even a six hour-long movie, because it's simply too long. Too much stuff would need to be cut or shortened up quite a bit... maybe they could do it with Chain of Memories. But that'd be the only one that might work... unless they made an entirely new movie and not tried to make a movie adaptation of one of the games (like how Advent Children was).

I didn't really like the days panel system. It restricted my magic D:

Don't get me wrong, i love kh2/bbs/all that stuff, but the crystarium in FF13-2 was really useful.

It's not holding a button, it's choosing your character.

The big crystals made stat boosts depending on the class you're leveling, and each crystal costs the same amount per class in 13-2

You get to plan out where you want your character to excel.

I also liked the 13 crystarium because you just choose where you want your character headed.

The stat matrix on coded was just really annoying for me, i dont like that type of leveling.

This is purely my opinion, I still love all the kh games, though!

Well, I was more talking about the crystarium in XIII, but even in XIII-2, you are simply leveling up. It's basically a nerfed job system from previous games.

But, as you said, it's all opinion.

Am I the only one who thinks Matthew was hyper when making this thread?

Uh well not on the outside, but while I was making this thread I was really excited for all KH cutscenes to be CGI!

  • 9 months later...

That would be glorious. SE could probably make it happen one day.

No. KH doesn't look the way it does because they dob't have the technology to make it all CG... it looks the way it does because that's the style. All CG cutscenes would be jarring and against the grain of the series si far.

The day that I get to see Kairi (Preferably her KH1 version...) in full stunning CGI will be the day that I can die happily.

Didn't FFX have the scene with Tidus and Yuna in the lake kissing in CGI? If they do something similar to that for Sora and Kairi at the pool near the secret place entrance on Destiny Islands with Sanctuary playing in the background, Holy [Redacted].

*imagines Kairi in CGI*
