How should I get these games? (Pokemon and KH)

Posted

My stats first:

I have: 1 $25 Gift Certificate to Best Buy

1 $20 Gift Certificate to Gamestop

Dates: Graduating HS end of June

Going to college mid July

Birthday mid October

Now the real meat- THE GAMES

Pokemon Conquest (DS) - Mid June

KH 3D (3DS) - End of July

Pokemon White 2 (DS) - Fall

Now for my predicament. Ideally, my preference for these games is Conquest < 3D < White 2. However...

Since I'm leaving for college mid-July and don't plan on taking my 3DS, that changes things. I won't be able to play 3D until Novemberish and White 2 comes out roughly around then. So should I...

1. Buy Conquest on release date and enjoy it until I go to college. Then ask for White 2 for my birthday and have my siblings buy 3D when it comes out for me and just leave it at home (with my $).

2. Buy all three on release dates, even though I can't play most of them.

3. 1. Buy Conquest on release date and enjoy it until I go to college. Then ask for 3D for my birthday and have my siblings buy White 2 for me when it comes out and just leave it at home (with my $).

4. Something else.

Any ideas? I'm leaning towards option 1 right now.

I'd say that option 1 is the best, provided your siblings are trustworthy (the complete opposite of mine :P).

2, and bring your 3DS to college. That way you'll actually be able to play them whenever you have free time.

I would go for option 3.

It would cost less for your siblings (a 3DS as a birthday present seems a bit too much for me though :/ )

Yeah, they're pretty good. They're going to get the games for themselves anyway, and I trust them with my money.

lol, I meant buy KH 3D with money I lend them; I already have a 3DS!

I like that, but I'm a bit anti-social and don't want video games to get in the way of me trying to make new friends.

It could help you to make new friends. Especially Pokémon White 2 (back when I was in college a few years back then Pokémon Diamond / Pearl were quite popular... everyone in the game club was trading and stuff)

I'd get them all (whether by buying them or receiving them as gifts) as soon as possible. Probably just my personal experience... but sometimes I've put off buying games and then they stop selling the games by the time I decide to buy them... forcing me to either buy it used or pay some inflated price for a new copy from an online seller.

lol, never thought of that. BW 2 won't be out until I'm actually in school, so maybe I'll get that while I'm up there. I think I'll hold off on KH3D (gasp!) for my birthday, because it's a solo game that would be hard to make friends with. Pokemon is a little more of a social game, and I'll already be established in college so my roommates will know I play by then. :)

I know it's sacrilege on a KH site to favor another game over it, but Pokemon has been my childhood and my summer program (when KH3D comes out) will be rigorous.

Oh ok then.

no offense, to those who want Pokemon Conquest but it looks like a piece of ****, sorry that is how i felt about the game, hmmm...option 1 seems the best

Buy conquest and enjoy it, then buy 3D. White 2 is one of those games people buy and then return, so wait and get it cheaper.
