It always struck me as odd. I can excuse KH1, but by KH2, Square was really on a roll with their super high end ultimate graphics and stuff.

And I mean, it's pretty rare to find a PS2 game WITHOU 480p support, so why is KH an exception?

(Also, if KH can be 480ped, can somebody show me how/where they found out?)

What quality was KH2 in?

What quality was KH2 in?

The default definition of the PS2. You get 480p quality if you use a component cable, bu only if the game supports it. (Actually, there's a PS2 game that supports 1080i, but I'm pretty sure that's the only game above 480p on the system)

There's also a thing about widescreen.

Actually plenty of PS2 games aren't in 480p.

I don't seem to notice much of a difference though. My PS2 games display in 576i and then are upscaled to HD.

What type of TV do you have? My sister's fiance's TV did something like that once, when I used his PS3 to play KH2.

But it doesn't happen with my TV.

Is there like.. a setting or something?

PS2 settings are pretty basic.

My TV doesn't matter as I've used my PS2 and AV cords on a few TVs over the past couple of years. And my PS2 displayed in 576i on all them. And my HDTVs upscaled them to HD.

No. I've compared shit HDTVs to good ones. My PS2 was in 576i for all of them.

What the heck! Mine is definitely 480p at best, and worse at any other time.

When it comes to TV channels it's hard to say.

We've got like 210 SD channels.

But only like 30 HD channels.

Technically, 480p is HD, isn't it?

We're just used to our 720ps and our 1080ps and boopin' and our boppin' and our hippin' and our hoppin'

orly? Huh, I never did much research in the topic (If this topic didn't make that clear enough) people have just told me that 480p was the old HD, and I believed them :P

Lol. Well the only HD resolutions are 720p, 1080i and 1080p. There's also 4K but it's only noticeable for TVs bigger than 50 or 55 Inch.

You heard what the graphics whore said.

This should be moved to video games...

And I guess it has to do with several different things. The graphics are still amazing so why complain?

The graphics are not amazing. Lol.

hatok's problem is that it's not good to upscale 480p to HD.

576i to 720p is fine though.

Well I guess I'm the only wierdo with a 32' in. 1080p HD Sony Bravia LED. The graphics may only look amazing for me.

Would a HDMI cable help hatok? Sorry, I haven't faced many quality problems.

There is no HDMI slot for the PlayStation 2.
