Now, unless you JUST started watching anime, you should now what this is. Deadman Wonderland is a great show, and sadly...it only has one season full of 12 episodes. Now, I for one know I'm not the only one who wants a second season, as the anime only pulls content from the first 21 chapters of the manga, and with it still going in Japan (sorta, considering the writer's taking a break for now...), there's so much to still be told. However, I still see some slight problems with continuing the series, considering I have both watched the anime AND read the manga, and what I have seen is this...

The anime and the manga are VERY different from each other: they tell the same story, but in different ways. Now, I know that an anime adaption doesn't always pan out the EXACT SAME storyline as its manga predecessor, but I'm just concerned on how the story can continue, considering how the anime takes out characters, changes events, mixes scenes around, and censors out some images (granted it'd be better off since they want to be able to show it on TV, but hey, uncensored DVDs anyone?)

I'm not criticizing DW as an anime...it's really good. But...I'm not seeing how the anime's story is gonna progress fluidly considering the cut content.

I don't know, maybe I'm being paranoid. Let me know what you guys think about DW Season 2.

Lol its gonna be A LONG TIME !

I only watched the anime, but knowing the japanese, they can make it work.

Yep...Jesus...

Pregnancy takes 9 months then to recover takes a while as well and starting up with the baby we might wait 2 years ...

Well, shit. :(

As you can tell by my avatar, I enjoy Deadman Wonderland. I've only watched what's been playing on Toonami so far, but I plan to read the manga once the series ends (only 12 episodes o.o).

Crossing my fingers for a season 2 though!

 I'm just into it. lol

It seems a bit late for a 2nd season.

So...I have officially finished the series (in subbed format...) and read the first 21 chapters of the manga. I think a second season can be in order as long if 1) all y'all start watching Toonami (#ToonamiIsBackBitches) and keep showing love for DW's English Dub, and 2) If Jinsei Kataoka can figure out how to work around the stuff that was left out and the stuff that was added. It is possible, as long as....

*SPOILERS*

Toto's early introduction isn't hammering the plot, and Chaplin, Hitara, and Azuma are introduced into the plot. Oh yeah, and let's not forget Yo and Minatski AND the whole Wretched Egg / Ganta Combo Ganbare Gun that happens in the anime and not the manga.

Of course, an original story following is also possible...not much changed anyway.

The anime was good but ended way too soon. Left me with an empty feeling and I'm sad to know that there most likely won't be a second season. Would've loved to see more Shiro as I liked her and her Japanese VA.

I love your siggy *o*. Mirai Nikki and that statement about days. Is that... Hanyuu in your avvy?

Anyway @topic I've seen a few episodes months ago. And it is pretty amazing.

But its the japanese tv ratings and dvd sales that determines whether they should do a 2nd season.

It doesn't matter if its English or Japanese TV, dude. Big-O got funding for a 2nd season, and so can DW.

One anime compared to thousands of animes that never came out. Plus, it was Sunrise/Bandai that made it, a major company in both japan and internationally at the time. So seeing them let Cartoonnetwork co-produce a show that appealed more to international audiences than japanese audiences should be considered as luck. Also, anime internationally(talking about NA) isn't the same as it was back then(thanks to illeagal streaming and such), so hoping Mad House(if I recall), which is nothing compared to Sunrise/Bandai(which has ended in NA now) is like a 1%, dude.

Just trust me on this....the English dub can be very appealing to the average anime fan, or even someone that decides to watch Adult Swim after midnight. A large following can be possible and it WON'T be from luck, it'll be from the fans letting Mad House what they want.

It's up to us, Rob...It's up to us.

That's fine. Me, and hopefully a lot more people, are still pulling for it.

So, I've come up with something....

The original story deal I mentioned earlier could be a better option than continuting from the manga. I mean, with the changed and added plot points already in place, Jinsei ought to jsut go with what's natural based off the set-up as it is. If FMA and Hellsing can do it, so can Deadman Wonderland. Besides, the manga isn't finished anyway, so let's give it a while before we expect a DW anime to be straight down canon. Then, maybe in the next few years, we'll see a series call Deadman Wonderland: (Inssert Quirky Subtitle Here), and it'll be awesome.

Thanks haha :3 And yes, it is Hanyuu.

I love your sig Future Diary <3
