So anyways, about two days ago I had a cross country meet after school, we would be running a mle and a half against other schools in our area. So we drove about 30 minutes out to where the meet was being held, on this nature trrail right next to this big lake. We had a little time to walk the course because it was ufamiliar to us, so me and my friends and the rest if the team did so. It was fine, but there were a few muddy patches. Then it started to rain really bad while we were still a mile out there, and the mud was RIDICULOUS. My shoes got ruined.
Anyways, when we got back to the starting line, wet, muddy, and cold, they decided to call of the meet. Lightning had started, an we were on the shore of a lake. We went out there for nothing. So of course there was the miserable bus ride home, then I walked home. Of course by now the sky had cleared and it looked like nothing ever happened. When I got home, my mom had the news on, and apparently there had been a tornado RIGHT WHERE THE MEET HAD BEEN SCHEDULED.

How ironic is that?
