(SPOILERS) I have a few questions...

In 3D, what actually happens when Sora and Riku fall into the water in Destiny Islands? Actually, is it really Destiny Islands? What are the requirements to go back in time? Can you explain the whole YMX stuff? If you could give an explanation for dummies I would be very pleased. Thanks.

Ok. The beginning, Sora and Riku were sent back to the Destiny Islands right before it became a sleeping world (when the heartless attacked). When they fall into the water and the keyhole appears, that's how they enter the Sleeping Worlds. As for time travel, you must:

1. Leave your body behind

2. There must be a version of you at the destination

3. Once there, you can only move forward.

4. You can't change what is destined to happen.

And I'm not entirely sure what you want to know about Young Xehanort. He's just the teenage version of Master Xehanort from an alternate timeline.

I wanted to know what he knows about the events that took place in TWTNW where all the seats are, 'cause I'm sure he doesn't know everything. And how did he go back in time when you can only go forward after a time travel? Thanks.

Well, every Xehanort only knew what would happen up until that point. That they would all gather there that day, and welcome Sora as a 13th Member with the return of Xehanort. YX wasn't an exception. That's all he knew.

As for him going back in time, I don't know if you mean in the battle, but you're seeing things too literally. What the rules mean is that once you arrive at the destination, no matter if forward or backward, you'll automatically go forward as per the laws of time. However, since he has the power to time travel, he can go back to short periods of time before.

OK one last question. I didn't understand what Yen sid said about the familiar faces you see in the dream world. Can you explain it? It's my last question about 3D, and then I'll understand the whole story.Thanks.

The Sleeping worlds are, in a way, dreams of the worlds. With that said, the inhabitants are dreams, and therefore not the same people Sora had met (Mickey, Tron, Jimny) so they would not have any memories of Sora or Riku. Furthermore, the events on these worlds most likely happened in a more distant past.

I'm glad I helped.

Not an alternative timeline. It's the same Master Xehanort as seen in BbS and at the end of KH3D just from the past when he was a teen.
