According to a recent report, video game retailer GameStop is the tenth worst company to work for in America. Out of 416 reviews, GameStop has an overall rating of a 2.7 on a five-point scale. One reviewer claims that rather than focusing on its costumers, GameStop’s top priority is trying to make people pre-order any title – even if it’s a bad game. GameStop employees apparently complain that the company favors sales more than customer service.

I kinda have to agree on this. Because one time when i was at GameStop I was buying the new PS3 slim. And the guy at the register said to buy this newer slim model with more giggabytes. So I'm like "No thanks I don't have enough money to buy that one" and he kept on bugging me about why I should buy it. it was soooo annoyijg because he kept trying to persuade me to buy it when i didn't even have enough money for it nor was I even interested in it. And then there's the whole "trade in a game and get money for it" crap that they do. I can;t tell you how much I hate how GameStop gives you low money for an expensive game you bought that you want to trade it. So I have to agree that GameStop totally focusing more about money than customer service.

I don't have a problem with game stop.

I dont see how theyre ranked one of the worst companies to work for :I I just got a birthday email from them with a coupon D:

unfortunately,

1) gamestop really is the only game seller in my area

2) a simple punch in the face to a employee is classified as assault

ITT: hating people for doing their jobs

Never had probelms with GameStop before.

 

Although it doesn't exist anymore in my country.

 

All we have is GAME.

That's complete bullshit. I remember my cousin bought Silent Hill Downpour, and he returned it one day after the seven day refund guarantee (because he didn't have a ride on the seventh day) and they said they'd give him ten dollars for it when he payed 60. >_>

When buying games, just go to your pawnshop. They'll give you a MUCH better deal then GS, whether you're selling or buying.
