Our story begins in New York City, the year 2985, half of the state is covered in advanced technology, the other half has been reclaimed by nature and abandoned by those of the city, our story begins when the war has reached it's peak, and the entire military will not seek peace with the creatures.

"Cool." I said wondering what a werewolf was I never seen one before.

Kira continued staring at the Werewolf, smiling at it. She turned her head to the forest. i love the forest.... she thought. She looked at Maelstrom. "how do you handle so many of these?" she asked.

"We have our ways, helping them change at will is easy, finding enough wolfs bane to help them keep their human form minds is the tricky part, so far, we've gone through over 4,584 liters of liquified wolfs bane to help them." said Maelstrom.

"How do you make it?" I asked curiously, happy to be in a forest.

"It's actually not that difficult, except for finding the wolfs bane, now, as you know, the bite of a werewolf will turn you into one, but, using ground wolfs bane mixed with water and a little bit of flavoring, we're able to nullify the effect werewolfism has on the mind." said Maelstrom.

"Oh." I said seeing a bunch of half breeds and other people.

"Yeah, werewolf saliva actually carries an impure form of wolfs bane, thus turning others into one of them, but creating that serum out of pure wolfs bane, we were able to help werewolves keep their human minds, most of the trouble finishing that is actually getting the formula into the werewolf, sometimes we have to shoot them with a small arrow coated in the stuff, small enough to not kill them, but big enough to penetrate a vein for the serum to work." said Maelstrom.

"Ok so how do we train?" I said leaning on a tree.

"Well, it varies for different creatures and half-breeds, werewolves, your kind and other creatures of the night practice stealth and try to attack instructors...." said Maelstrom. A werewolf half-breed jumped out from behind a bush, but Maelstrom bucked him in the gut. "Like that....others train in head on combat....it's kind of the way the infantry works." said Maelstrom.

"Ok so I start at night?" I said tilting my head.

"Well, at first yes, but as time goes by, you'll train in the morning as well, we like to make sure that even the creatures of the night can fight at any time of day." said Maelstrom.

"Is that so...but I admit I like sleeping in the day and do whatever at night." I said looking up at the sky.

"Oh, well, that could be useful to give use the advantage." said Maelstrom.

"Haha yeah...." I rubbed my head watching the training go on.

"Hang on a second......Cadet Ford, Watch You Tail!" called Maelstrom. "I keep telling him that, just in case someone attacks him from behind." said Maelstrom.

"Its a slight pun heh. So...do you know everyone that stays in this castle?" I chuckled and drew an apple biteting into it.

"Yup, it's mandatory for trainers, and council members, everyone here is a name and a face, unlike those blasted humans, who only use ranks, we carve the name of every fallen comrade into that pillar over there." said Maelstrom, gesturing to a giant nearby pillar.

"That's a good thing that you carve their names, I remember when it was winter and the humans wanted to skin me for my fur when they had that huge blizard ruining their technology..." I said facing the direction of the city.

"Yikes, bunch of barbarians." said Maelstrom.

 

Felphore found the others after he was finished scouting, but was really dusty. "Hey guys....HEY NESSIE, MIND GIVING ME A RINSE?" called Felphore. A few seconds later, Felphore was shot back by a jetstream of water and hit a nearby tree. "I guess i asked for that one." said Felphore.

"Heh I've read that myth and wondered if the Loch Ness monster was real I guess it is. Heh I think we will get along since I'm a myth too." I said chuckling watching Felphore but thinking that it would hurt.

"Don't worry about him, he's been through worse, one time he was caught in the crossfire of a fight between a kraken and a leviathin, he was actually eaten and trapped in the leviathin's stomach, just don't ask how he got out, cause you don't wanna know." said Maelstrom.

"Um...yeah..." I twiched my ear a little and drew another apple holding it out. "You hungry?"

Jake was walking through the streets of New york in a white hoodie and silver jeans, he spotted an alien in a black cloak, obviously trying to assasinate him, as he was about to fire his phaser, a wolf-type human pushed him out of the way ''WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!!'' asked Jake to the wolf

"Yeah, actually...thanks." said Maelstrom, accepting the apple.

"Your welcome." I smiled as if the sun was behind me, it was regular for me since my mother was goddess of the sun...
