If you have never played tales of abyss ps2 then get it. I still have the ps2 version and I want the 3DS version. ;)

Yeah, its EXTREMELY worth it! Tales of the Abyss has the best story of all the Tales games released thus far in America IMO. The gameplay is REALLY good for an action RPG and while not the best Tales system, any newcomer to the Tales of Series is sure to enjoy it! While the main character starts off really annoying in the beginning, after a MAJOR thing happens about a third through the game, the main character grows drastically and becomes a pretty good character.

So yes, if you can, I'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

Tales of the Abyss is my absolutely favorite game. The story, characters, and battles are fantastic. It has a bunch of side-quests (though they are miss-able, so I recommend doing them on a second play through with a guide), and a great New Game+ option using the grade you earn throughout the game.

The only thing I feel I should warn you about is this; Skits, are not voiced. Instead of explaining what a skit is, I'll just give you

*Do note, in the real game, only the subtitles are displayed. This was a fanmade video, taking audio from the Japanese version and putting it over footage from the English version.

skip to 1:35. there's your answer

Yes very much. Everything about TOA is very awesome, The best thing about TOA 3DS is loading it's great unlike the PS2 version it's really bad.

So IT'S WORTH IT.

Make sure you watch the Japanese opening and find a translation for the song. The lyrics describe the game perfectly.
