I woke up…… on the street? What? I look up to see people walk by. A lot of people. Haven’t they noticed me yet?..... I’m in the Scramble. Picking myself up I walk to a nearby window. My white hair is still tied like my Childhood Hero. I look the same…. But a feeling tells me no…..

BURN

Ak! Something really burns! Wha the- I look to see my hand….. flashing….. a blue clock…….

2:00:00

My iPod 7 buzzes and I grab the thing.

~Go To CatStreet. You have 2 hours. Fail and face Erasure~

It says “From The Reapers”.

What the…..could it be….

“Scratch”

Ow! I look to see a frog with tattoos?

“Scratch”

Eep! Another one?! I look out to see…..more……

It’s the story……

Could I…… be playing The Reaper’s Game……..And if so…….How did I die?

I noticed the wolf Noise and casually cast a powerful spell of ice shards, not killing it, but most definitely wounding it. I continued on my book knowing they were capable of handling it.

"She wasn't dead she clearly had life waves coming from her. And besides it would be the Composer's fault for my powers." I said with my right eye igniting a black flame as I aimed Wolf's rage at him.

While in the air, I snapped my fingers and teleported behind him. I whispered in his ear 'I never liked that tail of yours....' Then with a mighty heave, I swung my sword down and chopped off half about 3/4 of his tail, then kicked him in the back so that he fell forward. 'Have fun growing that back!' I yelled, a crazy look in my eye. I snapped my fingers and 2 dark portal appeared on both sides of me, giant tentacles emerging out of both them. A black shell appeared around me and I rose into the air, then rose my arm, one of the tentacles doing so as well, ready to swing it down and crush him.

Something was bothering me. What is it? My subconscious mind kept telling me to see what it is, back where I was before I got to the cafe. Near where 'Death Wolf' was. I couldn't help it. I marked the page on my book and ran off to see him and another guy fighting. I fired a wave of blazing flanes towards the new one. "You're a Shinigami, aren't you? Or should I say a Reaper?" I asked bluntly to the Reaper. I prepared myself with fire, ice, and earth magic knowing he'd least likely go off in peace.

(Kinda in the middle of the sky.... but there's always a portal you could go through in the cafe that i left behind and will take you there..)

(I can fly with air magic, just forget I said earth magic earlier, I didn't do anuthing with it yet anyways)

I turned around and looked down at this.... little person. What.... the.... hell. I go to a place where I think nobody will ever find me, where I can fight to avoid interruptions like the last time, yet here this kid is. 'Well, I've always recognized myself as a Reaper, but I've had a few Players call me a Shinigami before... so yes, that's what I am. And if I'm not mistaking you're the kid that showed up last time as I was leaving huh? You wanna get your ass kicked too don't you boy?' Better deal with this kid quick before Skull gets back up. I snapped my fingers and the tentacles disappeared, then I took my sword and stabbed a hole through the shell, jumping out of it and landing in front of the kid. I pulled down my hood, revealing red flames in my eyes, my sword igniting simoltaneously. 'You're Earth magic won't work in the sky kid, and fire is my element. Good luck finding any water up here too..... Looks like you just screwed yourself over.' I grabbed the handle of my sword with both hands and swung down.

I started twitching and cringing. "A boy? And....you called me a kid....TWICE!!!!! WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANNA CALL ME?!?! WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO CALL A HALF OUNCE LITTLE MIDGET WHO DOESNT GEOW AND CAN JUST BE BULLIED ON LIKE A FLEA?!?! YOU DAMN JERK I'LL KILL YOU WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT HERE!!!" I yelled furiously grabbing tons of water from the clouds, boiling them and leaving the Shinigami with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. "CAN A KID DO THIS?! YOU IDIOT, NO ONE CALLS ME A MICROSCOPIC BEAN SPROUT MIDGET OF A KID, IM STILL GROWING YOU DAMN REAPER!!!!" I yelled even more, continuing to pelt him with water past 300 degrees.

I felt boiling water hit my skin. I began to shriek in pain, louder than the kid was screaming, but that shriek quickly turned to a laugh. 'Idiot, I just said fire is my element.' I said with a smirk, used to the intense heat I was always around. Then I ignited my sword to even a larger flame than before. I raised my sword and blocked out the boiling rain with it, slowly walking towards him. 'Come on, KID, you're not that butt- hurt are you?' When I got close enough, I bashed the kid over the head with my sword and watched him stagger backwards in a daze. Hopefully that will shut him up. 'Now looky here Kiddo, you may be growing, but I've been doing this stuff since before you were conceived. Oh yeah and I'd stop hitting me with that boiling water because that's getting quite annoying.'

"I said DONT CALL ME A KID!!!!" I yelled engulfing him with water past 1000 degrees, then instantaneously reducing it to negative 138 degrees, freezing him in place. "YOU'RE THE IDIOT HERE!!!" I said provoked, but a little dizzy from his minor attack. (Stay strong, Joshua... he didn't even hit that hard...damn...why do I have to be so defenseless...?) I thought watching him fall in his brick of ice.

I layed on the ground, frozen but still conscious. I'd been beaten, and I might die unless I do something quick. What I was about to do would probably kill us all, but hopefully the Composer would have some pity. A barrier appeared above the arena, that way nobody could escape, or in the kid's case, fly away. The arena began to shake violently, then plummeted towards the Earth. I felt myself levitate in the air as we fell, trying to thaw myself out. I thought as hard as i could to ignite my sword, but still nothing. Looks like me, this kid, and Skull were gonna die.

I fell to the ground finally worn out, complete useless in this situation. I muttered what I thought would be my last words: "The world ends with us...."

I snapped my fingers to appear next to the fake me, "My poor tail." I said looking up at him Wolf's Rage loaded with shooting knifs and sharp wings coming out of my back. My sword absorbed my wings and my flames to grow larger and on fire then I flipped it over and threw it up breaking the barrier like glass...

(sorry I didn't have time to change it last time and I'm too lazy to change it again...)

I stood up as I saw both of them on the ground, walking out of the cafe. "What Idiots. I wasn't dead when Skull saved me. I wanted to die. But I thank Skull for saving me, he saved me twice. Noro, as for you, why did you even fight? I mean you really didn't have to. To bad, I guess this will just have to be like this. You three were all fools." I laughed, turning around.

~Joshua's Dream~

I was back on Earth, watching as I was murdered, and a Reaper taking my parents as a fee...for my second chance at life. How would I return to my regular life....as an orphan? My murderer didn't even show a face. Why? And why was I even given a chance? I should be dead.

"If I got these powers from the Composer you think it would be hard for me to stop the Composer from killing us?" I said standing up patting the dust away from my clothes.

"I don't kill if the Composer kills me. That's the truth." I laughed heartlessly, looking sharply at Skull, then Joshua, and Noro.

 

I woke up, 100 percent exhausted. "I'm...alive?" I said noticing 'Death Wolf' and a new girl. I attempted at getting up, but fell back down. I felt something ominous about her. I hate the feeling. A green light flowed around me, then vanished; I couldn't even heal myself. I lied there half-conscious and helpless.

"Oh hey Sayo." I looked at my hand 1:00, "We need to find you a partner."

I rubbed my head and looked up, finally thawed out. 3 Players were standing in front of me.... I stood up, drenched in water, then just looked at them. I slowly began to back petal until it turned into a full sprint away from the embarrassing defeat I'd endured. Where were all the other Reapers? Better yet, where was the Composer? I ran into an alley and sat against the wall and buried my head in my hands, ashamed I'd become this weak compared to simple Players. Couldn't this day just end already???

"Don't blame yourself you wouldn't remember me anyway Noro." I said looking at Noro.

"Forget partners for a minuet. Noro is upset." I mumbled, walking calmly the way he walked.

"Hey, are you okay? You don't have to take defeat so seriously." I said, kicking his side slightly once I arrived.

Back kicking noise while doing a 360 got rid of some but not a lot, "Ug! Why can't I never get rid of them!"

 

"Oh....I'll get them." The girl behind me said. And next thing I see is a large grey rod in her hand. She held the rod high, "Lighting Sphere." A burst of lighting shot down on the rod. She then pointed her rod towards the noise and next thing you know they went ZAP. "Their gone." She mumbled.

 

"Wait......how did you get rid of those?" I ask. Wait? How can she even see me?

 

"Oh....didn't you know? My name is Uno and I'm the playing the Reaper's game. Today is my first day....."

 

My violet eyes grew wide. Is this the new player?
