It was 11:50 PM and Willa was already bored. In classroom 206, Willa tapped on her pencil impatiently as she tried to read the passage on her worksheet. 'The reason the ozone layer is so important is that...' Willa looked closely at the worksheet trying to tell if the letter was a 'm' or a 'w'. 'Stupid dyslexia.' Willa thought. She tossed the worksheet on the ground in frustration which caused a couple students to look at her way.

Outside the school, panic was brewing. Crowds in Time Square was gathering around an unconscious man who they claimed had a stroke.Suddenly to the crowds surprise, the man got up. Reporters rushed to him shoving microphones in his face yelling how he survived the stroke. But the man just moaned and bit a nearby reporter. The reporter screamed trying to get the man off of him, but it was no use. The crowds screamed and ran in all directions. The zombie apocalypse had started. What the characters didn't know was that one zombie is heading to their school right now...

Takashi stared out the window of his class room, unknowing of the near chaos. he was thinking about his life if he were one of few people who were alive in the world. if he could truely be himself if he could just be. he smiled a bit but nobody saw it. suddenly the teacher called on him "Huh?" he said as he looked up at the board "oh that would be 59" he said as he went back to daydreaming.

Satoshi had his head on his desk, sleeping. Math was never his subject, especially when it came to his teacher, the most boring, dull, soulless person ever to become a Trigonometry teacher. A quick tap on the desk woke Satoshi, as he gave a glance to his disturber, Mr. Hurt.

"If I might say...ah...." Mr. Hurt sneezed, "Eh, these allergies... anyways...I do not allow sleeping in my class, you hear me, Satoshi?" Mr. Hurt began a long rant about the fundamentals of math, and it's importance to society. All Satoshi could do was plant his head on his desk.

"When is this day going to be over..?" He mumbled.

Takashi still watched out the window at the front gate. "I wish i could reap the souls of the dead" he whispered to himself

Travis sighed, his head buried in his arms. The teacher at the front of the class droned on and on about politics or something. It didn't matter to him anyway. He slowly sat back and looked out the window, gazing intently at the courtyard below. He was about to close his eyes when the teacher said his name "Mister Meresti, if you would excuse me." He said politely. "Yeah?" Travis yawned. "Who killed Adolf Hitler?" Travis scratched his cheek. "Um... The Jonas Brothers?" He guessed. A few giggles sounded and the teacher sighed. "Travis, you're brill-" Travis sat up. "If I can't call you by your first name, how come you can call me by mine?" He asked. The teacher looked down. "Respect." He said. "Some respect you're showing me then." He muttered, sitting back again. The teacher heaved yet another sigh before returning to the class. "Actually, it was a trick question." The teacher said, looking away from Travis. "Adolf killed himself. Anybody know how?"

"cianide" said Yuki quietl from the desk next to Travis. she had her head down on the desk. she was A grade student but didnt look one bit like one. she just sat their with her ribbon tied hair all laid out on her arms.

Takashi looked up to the front of the class and then stood up and began to walk to the door.

"and where do you think your going?" asked the teacher

Takashi glared at the teacher with a look that kinda frightened him. "Im gonna do something that isnt a waste of my time. so good bye" he said to him as he walked out of the room and walked to the some stairs on the side of the building that were outside where you could see the entrance gate. "what a lame day." he said as he watched the city from there.

Travis looked at the girl next to him. "Yeah, I know. But I don't feel like giving him the satisfaction that I actually know." He murmured. He sighed and looked at the ceiling. "I just want to go home already." He looked to the front of the class to see someone leaving the class. "Really? You get 50% score just for being in class, and that's just about enough to pass. Why is he leaving?" He said quietly. "Whatever. It's his grade, not mine. But then again, school is boring." He got up, his knees cracking a bit. He walked to the front of the class. "You too, Travis?" Travis glanced at him coldly. "Yes, Robert." He said, leaving the room. He walked to the staircase, but stayed on the floor. He opened the window and jumped down to land on the overhang of the front entrance. He sat on it, his legs dangling over the ledge. For some reason, nobody ever stopped him when he did this. None of the teachers, principals, or administrators. Maybe they just learned not to mess with him.

The zombie was near the entrance gate of the school when a security officer yelled out, "Hey you! Are you a parent?" The zombie just moaned and headed toward the sound of the officer's voice. "I'm talking to you!" The officer shouted. The zombie was now at the gate trying to get in. "Are you death?!" The officer went over to the gate and grabbed a piece of the zombie's shirt. "Do you want me to hurt you?"

The zombie just groaned and bit into the officer's arm. The officer's scream echoed in the air, but people inside the school didn't hear. A nearby staff ran over to the officer. "A-are you alright sir?" The staff cried. The officer just continued screaming clutching his arm where the zombie had bitten him. A couple other staffs went over to the officer. Finally the officer stopped moving. "Is he dead?" said one staff.

Suddenly the officer's arm twitched, and staggered up. "Oh, you're alright!" The other staff smiled. The officer turned to the staff that was smiling and bit her. The staff screamed, and the other staffs tried to pry the officer off of her, but ended up getting bitten in the process. One staff just yelped and headed toward the main office. It was now 12:00 pm the zombie apocalypse had started.

Melissa was sitting in her chair in boredom when she saw a staff running toward the main office. 'That's strange, I wonder what happened?' Melissa stood up and looked through the medicine cabins organizing them. 'Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be fixed.'

Willa picked up her worksheet and sat back down trying to finish it when the intercom came on...

"huh? there wasnt anything schedualed for today" said Yuki as she listened to the intercom.

A scream filled the air, and Travis looked up, standing in attention. He saw at the front gate, an officer was attacking some staff, as it seemed. "What's going on over there...?" He wondered aloud. One of the staff screamed, and Travis gasped. He heard the cackle of the intercom inside the building. Yeah, something's definitely not right. He thought, turning around and gripping the windowsill. He looked up to realize that somebody closed the window, probably a teacher. He sighed and turned around. He placed his palm on the edge and eased himself off. His ankles suffered from the drop, but he was fine overall. He went up to the door and tried to open it to listen to the intercom, but it wouldn't budge. He looked to the side and saw the metal handicap button, and pushed it with his palm. The door slowly swung open, and he stepped in to hear the intercom.

"the hell!" exclaimed Takashi as he watched the whole thing "Holy Shit!" he said before running off towards the gym "something just happened and its not something you'd ever see in a lifetime!" he said to himself as he continued running

Satoshi looked up as the intercom went off. The rest of the class looked up too, but everyone's faces became confused.

"Hrm," Mr. Hurt mused, "I'll be right back. Allow me to check what is going on...and while I'm gone, flip to page 235!" Mr. Hurt left and closed the door, leaving the class alone for the moment. Satoshi sighed, continuing his nap from earlier. The rest of the class began talking amongst each other, wondering what was happening.

Takashi ran by Mr.Hurt as he headed to the Gymnasium.

After a few panicked breaths, the staff at the intercom started to speak. "Students, teachers, and staffs. I-I don't know what's going on out there but the officer is biting the staffs. This is not some terrorists attack, but please calmly leave the school through the back entrance, do NOT go through the front." Suddenly pounding seems to be heard in the background and some of the staffs inside screamed. "Oh god, they're here, please be calm and...be safe. The staffs will handle this." Then the sound of a door tipping over and screams filled the intercom before it was cut off.

Melissa looked up at the intercom. "Huh? Do I have to help these people?"

All the students in Willa's class froze as the intercom was cut off. The teacher stood up. "Now class you heard the staff, let's just calmly-"

"WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!" A boy screamed. The students started to panic and pushed and shoved themselves out the door. All the students and teachers started doing the same. Most of the students headed for the front entrance forgetting about what the staff at the intercom said. Willa stayed behind. "Where are you guys going?! He said back entrance!!" But no one heard her. The school was a big high school. One of the biggest schools in New York. It was 3 floors and have only 4 exits out of the school, the front, back, and the sides.

Willa now stared at the empty classroom. She had a feeling most of the students here aren't gonna make it out of here alive. 'Whatever it is, it can hurt people. I should get something to defend myself, find other students, and get the heck out of this place.' Willa thought. She headed toward the gym which is on the 2nd floor.

Travis shook his head. He turned around to see the officer lunge at him. "Ah!" He said, stepping back, out of its' range. The officer fell, and the door shut on him, leaving him stuck between the door and the wall. He turned around and ran back into the school. He dashed to the back exit, as the intercom ordered him. He ran through the masses of students, making his way to the back entrance. A scream was heard, and it only panicked the students more. He finally made his way to the back entrance, and burst through the doors. "Okay... why isn't anyone else coming?" He panted, his necklace falling out of his shirt as he crouched and put his hands on his knees, gasping for air.

Takashi kept running until he heard the end of the message. He then looked at the doors to the Woodshop class room. and entered it and locked the door. "Its no use nobody will escape being panicked and unarmed. he then walked forward towards the wall where tools were hanging. he then grabbed a power saw and smashed it and then he took off the saw blade. then he grabbed a pain roller that had an extended reach and swapped the paint roller for the saw blade then he took the motor and handle of a leaf blower used in the fall when the leaves reall fall down. and did some other crap he read on the internet about and combined it all to together too create something like a chain saw, table saw, sythe combo. "well it was my first time trying something like this but this is what i get for joining robotics club. a work of art" he told himself as he filled it with gas. and then after getting used to the weight and figured out that just throwing his momentum would be enough he looked into the hallway. "where did everybody go?" he said quietly as he walked to the gym where he planned to make his get away from the school "what is going on that would make the staff so scared what did i see? that made this insanity take place? everything was fine this morning. No this is no time for questioning its time for action." he said as he quickened his pace. which wasnt much due to his invention that was held together by a few screws, some hot glue, and a whole lotta duct tape.

because duct tape fixes everything! YAY!

Chelsea woke up to an empty classroom. 'Did I fall asleep? Why did everyone leave?' she thought to herself. She walked to the window and peered out into the bright daylight. Outside was absolute chaos. There were people coming in and chasing the students and a few staff members. As she watched, one student tripped, and the prosecutor bit him! It was quite gruesome. Chelsea turned around, feeling a little sick. What was going on? She needed to figure out what was going on, but primary objective was to survive. Chelsea walked out into the hallway. Hopefully none of those creepy things had infiltrated the school. She walked down the hallway, making her way to an air vent. She looked at it and swore. She was small enough to fit, but she didn't have a screwdriver. But the woodshop would have one. It wasn't far, and hopefully she'd have enough time before the school was invaded.

Takashi was walking around with the extended saw blade held over his shoulder as he found his passage to the gym blocked by the other students and staff. "uh there they are! But something not right" he said as he watched them move towards him like the living dead. "son of bitch they really are dead!" he said as he pulled the cord and started the motor. The blade began spinning, buzzing "alright then let me reap your souls and put you out of your misery!" he said

Satoshi sighed. "Dammit....everyone fled in the hysteria..." Sure enough, the entire class was nearly empty, everything knocked over in the attempt to get out.

"Just what is going on..?" Satoshi pondered this, patting his pocket. Good, he thought, my pocket knife is still there. Satoshi had the keen feeling that there was something seriously wrong, beyond the obvious.

~

Mr. Hurt continued walking down the hallway, clutching his leg. In the giant hysteric attempt to flee the school, Mr. Hurt was nearly trampeled, and his leg was sprained in the process. He looked about, looking for someone for help. Sure enough, a man hunched and slightly wobbling side to side was standing nearby.

"Excuse me! I need some help!" Mr. Hurt said, waving his hand. The figure did nothing. "Hey!" Mr. Hurt yelled, and the man turned. It wasn't human.

Willa ran on the 2nd floor of the school toward the gym when she heard the sound of buzzing of a blade. Quiet as a mouse, she peered over a corner to see a boy with this blade thingy hitting the students. 'I've seen him before! Why is he killing the students?' She heard a scream behind her and a couple students were running away from a group of students with their clothes all torn. "Help us!" They screamed. Willa just stood there motionless. "W-what's wrong? Where are the other students?" Willa asked.

"We were heading toward the front entrance when a group of students in front of us were tackled down at the staffs. The students were bitten and we ran up the stairs." A guy explained. "B-bitten?" Willa stammered. 'Don't zombies in movies do that?' Willa thought. Suddenly the boy screamed as a nearby zombie/student grabbed his leg.

"Help!" The boy yelled. The other students screamed and ran up to the 3rd floor. "Let go you bastard!" Willa kicked the zombie in the face as hard as possible. It did nothing and the zombie bit the boy. The boy wailed in pain. "I-I'm sorry, I really am." Willa felt tears coming out of her eyes as she ran toward the other boy who was fighting the zombies (Takashi).

"huh?" takashi turned his head to see Willa "Hey hey hey! It's not safe here you can't defend yourself against them weaponless!" said Takashi with a great concern. He then swung with his momentum and hit his teacher in the head with the blade on the forehead. Blood splattered everywhere.

Chelsea was in the empty hallway. She was just a few doors away from the woodshop. She hadn't run into anybody else on her way. She figured that they had all fled, or were cooped up somewhere. Chelsea opened the door to the woodshop quietly, and glanced in. Completely empty. Chelsea walked in. She browsed through all of the drawers until she found what she was looking for. She grabbed the screwdriver and jogged back to the vent. Chelsea crouched next to the vent and looked around to make sure she wouldn't be followed. She slowly unscrewed the vent cover and took it off. She pocketed it in case she needed it later, looked around one last time, and crawled inside.

"I need to go to the gym to get weapons so I could defend myself!" Willa explained. She cringed as Takashi hit a teacher in the head spilling blood over the floor. "Can you uh....help me?"

Melissa wasn't scared. In fact, she had no idea what's going on. The hallway that used to be filled with panicked students vanished. She heard the intercom but had no clue what he was saying. "I wonder if school dismissed the students early to go home, but I wonder why..." Then Melissa heard a door banging which was luckily locked. "Who's banging on my door? It's called knocking!" Melissa huffed. Melissa looked through the window of her door to see a student with teared up clothes that is bleeding all over the place. The student hissed a little as he continued to bang on the door. "On second thought, maybe I should shut up and be quiet." She said to herself.

Takashi looked at Willa "Fine but dont think im gonna do this again anytime soon" he said as he swung the weapon and hacked off a couple of legs causing the undead to fall unable to move veryquickly.

Mr. Hurt's eyes widened, realizing the person he was asking for help wasn't a person. Not anymore, at least. The monster charged him, and Mr. Hurt had a few spare seconds to get up and run. He ran a corner, attempting to make up for his sprained leg. But his pursuer has near limitless stamina. You can't feel pain when you're, dead, after all. With that against him, Mr. Hurt was quickly beset upon by the monster, and he and the zombie tumbled out a window.

~

Satoshi had had enough. "Come on..." He muttered, throwing his hands up in the air.

"Damn it." He got up, unsettled at the noises outside. He poked his head outside the class, his knife in hand.
