Ok, so if I remember right, Sephiroth in KH1 was a NA/PAL/FM exclusive, right? So that means that he didn't get a japanese voice actor for the first game. So I'm wondering: what will they do for his voice in the Japanese 1.5 ReMix? My best guess is that they'll just use his KH2 voice for the attack grunts and shout-outs and stuff, maybe.

 

Then that leads to my thoughts on the english version (if it comes out). Let's face it: his voice sounded stupid in KH1. (No offense Lance Bass, that's just the way it is IMO). It would be cool to have them use his KH2 battle grunts/battle speech.

 

What are your opinions on these?

Well yeah, I'm just talking Sephiroth's voice. He's unimportant enough that a re-dub of his voice (not anyone else's) wouldn't ruin the game too much.

Maybe; I don't actually remember if he really speaks...if they're not going to redub anything else, though, I doubt they'll bother to do his voice, but it depends. We don't even know for sure if they will put it in english (although I don't see why not), nevermind if they'll redub anything or just keep the audio. I liked his Kh2 voice too...

No,Sephiroth didn't have any lines in KH1, spoken or otherwise only battle cries. And the only time he "spoke" in FM was in speech bubbles, no voice. And, like you, I don't think they'll re-dub him. It seems like a lot of work for hardly any payoff. Then again, he didn't have an official English VA back then, none of the FFVII or VIII chars. did. The only one that was kept after that was Steve Burton as Cloud, all the others were replaced.

 

I want to know if the English version will be re-dubbed or if they'll just recycle the sound files from the first English version like they did with FM the first time. I'm kind if torn as to weather I'd want them to or not. On the one hand Haley, when he's not trying to sound like he's 14 again like in 3D, has gotten better at voice acting. But "Dick" Epcar as Ansem SoD, ugh.

As seen in this video Sephiroth has no lines in Kh1. The only time he talks is in Kh1fm through speech bubbles. Other than that it's just the usual battle grunts and such. So they will most likely improvise something like the Kh2 voice for 1.5 remix.

I really liked Lance Bass as this version of Sephiroth. I would hate it if it was changed if we got the HD Collection. his voice matched is voice to me. he looks like a pretty boy! I do like his grunts better just because he didnt do it as much in KH2

When I played the game, I was so busy dodging and attacking, that I didn't notice all the lame quotes from sephiroth.

 

I'm sure they're going to replace his voice too for the american version.

I guess you could say that having Lance Bass as Sephiroth was...
