TCNN (The City News Network) Bulletin:Breaking News: Raul Pottza and collective terrorist group of over 100 stormed the industrial district today and overtook the Keihg Manufacturing Facility and the Iefrix Industrial Complex, calling for the presidents of the competing companies to dismantle their augmentation production immediately, police and news agencies on site, no word from either corporation yet.Current Events Board- Anti-Aug Hostage Situation, Location- The City Industrial District, Characters on-scene- Dain, Jack, Raul, YukaHey Everybody, Veritas here. I've previously made a fairly successful RP that was based around the KH universe, now I want to try something for more unique, thrilling and ambitious. It will require many people, and a strong willingness to have fun and be creative, though I plan to make it as interesting and easy to be a part of this RP as possible. If I can't get enough people, I'll put it on hiatus until later, but if we can get enough people, I assure you I plan this to be unlike any RP you've ever been a part of on this site. Read more if this sounds at all interesting.Welcome to The City. The year is 2034, and the world is a drastically different place. Augmentations have changed humanity, boosted globalization, increased productivity and standard of living, and begun a new era of seeming peace. However, that's only what it looks like on the outside. While the world may be mostly peaceful because of these enhancements, their rise has led to a whole new level of corporation, international juggernauts that wage an invisible war with each other every day. Iefrix International (known as I.I.) and Keihg Technologies (K.T.) are the frontrunner corporations, hosting huge labs which develop tomorrow's technologies ranging from ear pieces, to holo-screens (Glass coated holographic projector screens no thicker than a centimeter which have replace TVs), to robotic prosthetics (which range from human-level, to the expensive and regulated super-human level, and even the classified military-grade).These two companies both happened to start in a southern Washington city that soon grew due to their influence. That city is now the largest and most opulent in the world, so much so that it is simple referred to as The City (by most it is referred to as T.C.). These two companies are at each others throats, fighting in locations around the world for resources and markets. Those who act for these companies are the Agents. These people have full access to the range of weapons tech that their companies supply, and roam the world fighting their enemies. Even S.C. 1 (Space Colony) the first and currently only orbiting habitation satellite is not outside of the companies reach. Both companies have shrewd and combative Presidents, who will stop at nothing to see the other company fall. While they fight all over the world, the true fight is where both companies are headquarters, The City, and neither will stop until the other is ashes, even if it sets the very world on fire.So, the setup here is an agent or president of either Iefrix International, or Keihg Technologies. I will allow two people to act as police partners investigating both companies. The inciting event (I will begin with it once we start) will begin in The City, and all characters will begin there, but feel free to go around the world and even into space (I will create events and constantly update the situation in this original post which can be referenced at all times for current objectives. I will also update the story in the thread itself every 3 pages, and compile the story up to the present in this post as well. Now, onto the rules:-Only one character is allowed per person, there will be so much happening that there will be no time to go off on your personal story, all interaction should be with other players (the exception is a very minor side character or two that you use to further events as you need, if you make more than 3 posts acting as a character besides your primary, I will give you a single warning and that will be it. I don't want anyone go off on their own tangent for an extended period of time.-Be creative! Have a cool character that other people want to interact with and make sure you have them do interesting things. Send messages to other players if you want to plot. I don't want to impede your creativity, so don't feel the need to consult me in order to plot with other players or create a twist, so long as it follows the rule below.-Do not godmod, but even more important, do not give yourself a spontaneous advantage over other players. I see the "I teleport behind you instantly" all too often, and that is not fair to the other player. If you are fighting, do not specify whether your attack connects, allow your opponent to decide that. If you are being attacked, allow yourself to be injured sometimes, everyone's mortal.-Obscene language is completely okay, given the situation. I leave it to your discretion in saying don't over do it, otherwise, do what you feel is right for your character.-Use parentheses for comments outside of the RP once it has begun, feel free to ask questions, though remember to use messages if there's no need to comment on things to everyone.Here's the character sheet, to reiterate, anyone can be an agent (augmented), one person to be the president of each company (commanding all agents within their company) and two people to optionally be police officers (non-augmented but with the power of the police force behind you, and the two cops are partners).Augmentations can include limb augs (including guns and blades), eye upgrades, computer interface upgrades, internal upgrades, ect. Jack quickly looked at his watch to see how much time was left and back to the road. He then says: "I don't really think and feel now is the time to talk about my past. But what do you mean by 'show' what happened?"

"My eye is not like the other, not only the color of it but something else. My siblings are scared to death because of my eyes. It's not the place to reaveal the cursed eye now. I'm the youngest of my siblings so my parents gave me my eye, making me 'special'. Thus knowing I wouldn't be accepted with this thing they put me in a clock-tower, expecting me to stay there until I got older..." Yuka sighed.

A part of Jack couldn't believe what he heard, but another did. He thinks: An eye that's cursed? But the whole "not knowing the real world" line makes sense. and says: "That's something. You really couldn't stand to stay in that place much longer? Now I feel like I meddled in a family matter."

"I really appreciate you getting me out of that hell, Don't worry about my family, but if my father comes, both of us our dead." Yuka smiled. "When the time comes I'll show you my eye." she said.

Jack replied: "All right." and drove at a steady pace. He feels as though he's getting close to the warehouse where Raul was, but wasn't sure.

(Heh. Now I made a short one.)

Raul looked out the window. Cops... damn it.

 

"Somebody get me the god damned company prezzes on the line!" he shouted. Some young uniformed recruit quickly brought over some telecom screens and began to hook them up. Raul wen to the window, a cop car, sirens wailing was headed toward the warehouse.

 

"So..." he said to himself "these guys think they can just come in here and shut us down, eh?" Raul turned to a nearby gunman with an assault rifle aimed out the window. It was time to show everyone that he meant business. "I want you to stop that cop car" he told gunman.

 

"How?" the guys responded.

 

"Bullets are very good at that I hear." Raul turned towards the screens which were now fully wired.

 

"I want two direct connections to the presidents of Iefrix and Keihg!" Raul demanded.

 

"And if they don't put us through?" a technician asked.

 

"We kill 3 hostages from both sides, you tell them that."

 

The technician began setting up the call. Raul looked over at the gunman, taking aim at the approaching police car. "Fire" Raul commanded, suddenly bullets sprayed out into the street, towards the police car...

"Ya know, you are a total idiot..." Yuka complained. She looked over to see the warehouse and then the windows were shot. "Shit! People trying to kill me already?" she asked, turning to Jack. "I don't know how to fight, your the one who kidnapped me, maybe you should at least help me..." Yuka said as she put her hood on again, then managing to take off her eye patch and not reaviling her eye yet, keeping it between her hair and her hood. "Get me the hell out of here." she snapped.

Jack shouts: "Where the heck did ths 'kidnapp' crap come from?" He then looks up, whispers: "Well, time for some evasive manuevers!" and starts driving his car in reverse, dodging the bullets as best as he could. Jack looked at both sides to look for a good hiding spot.

Yuka laughed. "At least are'nt you going to 'Invade the warehouse'? I mean that's what you dragged me here for..." she asked. 'You want to have the privlage to see my eye don't you? Finish what you came here for.' Yuka snapped telepathicly.

Jack was still looking at both side untl he sees an empty storage haul(?). He thrusts the pedal to make it in safely. Scratching his head, he thinks: These guys don't mess around huh?

- What is all this mess!?

Albert said as he looked at the news and the data on the screen. Oh really why the police are just so.... then he trasmitted to Dain.

-Dain... the police department are now in the building. I think we can use the distraction for our purpose. I said to him while looking for

a data on the monitors. Are you already on the hostages´s place? I asked to him.

"I depend on you to get me out of here alive, Inspector. You have earned the privilege to see my eye." Yuka announced as she put her hand over her left eye and moved her hair out of her face, but the scar was visible, the eye wasn't quiet yet. "No hard feeling, okay?" she asked, swipeing away her hand, showing her eye. Navy blue, complete opposite of the golden eye, imprinted with the star of david, a curse. "Cursed. Completely cursed. It helps me solve the crimes and that's why everyone want's my eye..." Yuka sighed, staring at Jack. "You're the only human I've showed this to other then my family. You are rewarded. Humans are worthless and idiotic creatures." Yuka said the last part with a sigh.

When Jack looked at Yuka's eyes and he was shocked. Being speechless, he couldn't come up with anything to say right away. First he thought: That's certainly a first. For a minute, Jack reached his suitcase, opened it, and grabbed the two handguns inside. After another minute, he says: "You really trust me enough with that info? But how does that symbol help you solve crimes?"

"It's a looooonnnnnggg story...I'll tell you when we get somewhere safe. For the mean while, you tell nobody about this if you do, you will die by my hands." Yuka said, pulling three daggers out of her bag. "Now I haven't fought before so be fore warned." Yuka sighed and she stared at Jack.

Jack says: "I promise I won't tell anyone." He then thinks: "Haven't fought before"? Granted she did say she was told the stay in that place. But wait a minute. Did she solve crimes while inside? Hold on. What am I doing thinking like this? There are hostages in need of help. He starts loading all the guns he had with ammo and haves both handguns in his hands. With a determined look, Jack says: "Let's get going. Stick close and be observant of your surroundings." He then starts to go out the back-door and look for a clear space.

"Wait for me!" Yuka said, putting on her hood and her eyepatch, covering the eyepatch with her hair as she quickly fallowed behind Jack, her brain trying to memorize the place. Yuka stayed close to Jack, trusting him with her life because this fight isn't going to end well.

Jack looked at both sides and saw a clear opening with large containers to the left. He then says: "I see a clear spot. Come on." and starts jogging to the place, keeping his head low in case if there were any watch-outs(?).

Yuka gave a slight nod and quickly fallwed Jack, her small size making it easiy for her to hide. "What do you want me to do when you see that main person who you want to kill?" Yuka asked telepathicly.

Jack thought: Are you talking to me with your mind? I'd guess that symbol lets you do that? Anyway, I need you to help stop me Raul's cohorts(?) from doing anything rash and get him to a secluded room. Try to see if there can be any reasoning done.

'Yes, I'm telepathic and can foresight a bit because of my eye—wait what?! You're wanting us to seclude him? How do we do that? You want me to decive him? I cannot even fight and your expecting me to do so much. Look I have certain limits too. But you asked me to do it so okay...you just have to tell me when...' Yuka said telepathically again.

Dain

"Yes sir"

 

Dain kicked the door down. There were 3 armed guards. Hmp, that was it? They were confused, nobody seemed at the door. Dain walked in cloaked, and positioned himself right behind one of the guards, facing the other two. Within a moment he had grabbed one and shot the other two. He waited for the one he was holding to fall unconscious from the choke-hold, and then he proceeded to the hundred or so hostages kept in a large room one door away.

 

"Sir, I have the hostages, what's our next move, I think we may have some other visitors..."

 

Raul

"Did you get them?" Raul barked

 

"No.... sir, they veered off an-"

 

"Good for nothing! Keep a look out, I'm going to put these dogs down myself!" Raul marched off. He walked down from the catwalks of the warehouse, and signaled for two sentries to follow him. He paced between containers, searching quietly.

 

"Hey, dogs!" He shouted, trying to get their attention. "Come out so I can help you out with those viruses you call augs!"

Jack thought: Right and carefully walked down a corridor. He stopped to see if there was any means to hide for the moment.

(Short post. Got nothing creative at the moment.)

Yes, you have many visitors... Albert said while looking the monitors.. mmm ok.. here goes the instructions ... go out of the room. Go to the right all the hallway you will see a sewer tunnel entrance... we can use that for release the hostage... but it will take time... mmm. I know how to gain you a little time hold on. 

 

Then he pulled out his cellphone entering a number he said. 

-Hello there. I want to talk with Inspector Rafton. He said on the phone.

Yuka sighed. "Jack, we're going to get caught. I hope you know sneaking around isn't the smartest thing to do." Yuka said aloud, fallowing him.

Raul pulled a pistol from his waist holster. He silently motioned for his men to pan out. They wouldn't be able to hide for long. Raul paced down the containers. He was silent. He listened... he had experience here, he was once a soldier, and here he was now again. For very different reasons.

 

His thought process was suddenly interrupted. He heard a whisper. "...sneaking around isn't the smartest thing to do." He looked around.... no men around, he would have to take care of this himself. He inched closer to the source of the sound. He positioned the pistol and turned the corner.
