Earthquake in Chile - 8.8, tsunamis expected.

Posted

You probably heard of this. An 8.8 Earthquake hit Chile at about 3AM their time. There's a chance of tsunamis in Chile, Peru, East Australia, Asia, and Hawaii, and a very minor chance in the west coast of Canada and the United States. It's apparently most likely in Hawaii.

78 people are dead at this time following the earthquake. Ths is stronger than the one in Haiti last month.

When is this going on?

yeah, they're expecting a tsunami in Hawaii :(

I've heard it yesterday,it's so sad,and our stupid president said that he's going to give anything that they need, not that we shouldn't help Chile, but we have lots of problems here too,he could send some help, but leave something to take care of our country.I hate this.

and what's worse is that they have gone into utter chaos, the looting is ridiculous there, this is due to no aid as the States, Europe and everywhere is aren't doing s*** about it and they know it =/

poor Chile.

And Haiti.

The world is falling apart. D;

This is why 2012 is a gold mine for doom mongers... they annoy the hell out of me. I had to have a passionate debate in my critical thinking (smart-arse GCSE student) class as to why there is no chance of us being bent over and experminated by the earth. I'm awesome when it comes to prophetic shizzle =3

i feel so bad for haiti and chile.

the world is falling apartt D:

I heard this 2 days ago, and I think 2010 has a lot of bad luck D8 Man I feel so bad for those 2 earthquaked places DX

The earthquaks aren't the only ones we should beworried about, every country is suffering with their own problens, and instead of getting toghether to try to solve ALL the problens they are soooo worried about olympics games,World cup, winter games, and other stupid things that just make the situation worse. The next World cup will be here in my country,we have so many rpoblens with education, public health and other things and our stupid president os just using our money for these things.

Apparently, they're predicting the next strong one will be in the Northwest (Oregon and Washington mostly, maybe southern British Columbia)

my prayers to these people :' (

The sad thing is that all the countries that get these worst earthquakes are poor and don't have enough money to be repairing the situation

This is heartbreaking ):

Whats wrong with this weather...

And the earth!

We've had two really big storms here in Melbourne, It hasnt rained like this since 2005, I'm guessing. And hearing about Tsunami's are just scary...

I hope everything gets better in the future ..

But all of this is our falt(all humans) they warned us,but nobody wanted to listen, they liked the way that they lived, and didn't want to change, and them things got like this.Have you heard about flood here in Brazil? They're horrible, lots of people die in landslides or they just die drowned.

omg guys 2012...its coming..... *equips tinfoil hat*

The world will never end, when we say the world end,it can't be the world. The human beings can end,but the world not

Oklahoma has had a couple small ones in the past few days.. if a huge one happened around there, they'd probably be totally unprepared.

There was also a fairly large on in Turkey a few days ago, as well as various routine small earthquakes.

What's next? The UK? Alaska? France?

This is even weirder than the Summer 2009 celebrity death thing.
