(Let's get this RP Started!)

"And here we are, in New York City, awaiting for the Re:Connect store to open, and bring in the third edition to Virtual Reality games!" A News Reporter said from Lucas' TV. "We already have a long line of people waiting for this brand new game- Sylvan Online! To those of you that pre-ordered, good luck! And to those who haven't yet.......best of luck to you!"

Lucas sighed, turning away from his bedroom TV. His parents were gone away for work, his sister at her Private School. For Lucas, school was out for the day, giving him the perfect chance to play his long-awaited game.

Sitting before him, was a large box, with the words 'Re:connect to a whole new world; Sylvan Online'. A large picture was shown on the box, showing several elves in a large group.

Lucas had already opened the box, which held several manuals, the Game card, and then the 'VR Helm', a large headgear device of which the game card was to be inserted too.

Lucas smiled. "Soon..." He whispered, "I can't wait for this.."

"Re:Connect claims the game server's will begin once the world-wide stores open. That is in approximately eight minutes!" The reported declared.

Nobara or now Light's Dawn or Dawn for short opened her eyes and looked at the area around her. Then she saw a blue flashing icon. She opened it. "I can't even use this." Dawn said grimly.

She sighed. "Well, now what?" She asked herself and turned around only to see a pound.

"A...pond....water...is it...wet? Can I...feel it?." She then faceplamed herself and walked over to a boy she saw (Eon). "Hi? I have to ask you something. Can I ask it?" She asked.

Eon examined his face, noting the elfish features, which made sense, considering the theme of the game was elves. He sighed, looking up when someone approached him.

"Hm?" He said, standing up straight. He turned to the person, seeing it was a girl. Now Eon/Lucas wasn't the best person around strangers, and for a moment he wasn't sure what to say, but he quickly realized she wanted to ask a question.

"Uh...s-sure. Go ahead." He said, realizing he was holding the healing vial. He grumbled something unintelligible and tossed it over his shoulder. It quickly disappeared, but would still be found in Eon's inventory.

"Well,uh,are you by any chance a Beat Tester?" Dawn asked.

"Because I don't know my way around...and I didn't read the guide." She looked at the pound looking at herself.

"And....well I get lost a lot." She gives a nervous laugh.

  • Author

Eon attempted a nervous laugh himself, but failed miserably at it.

"Y-yeah, I was in the Beta." He turned to face the town, letting the simulated wind brush against him, "I guess I can show you around...name's Eon, by the way." He looked at the girl he just met, and made a semi-confident smile.

Eon flicked his hand upward, a gesture one would do to call up the menu. He selected Party and stopped there.

"What's yours?" He said with a sidewards glance.

Camilla opened her eyes to see herself in the village Rimton.

"The begginers town? Hm? Oh, I have an item..." she said, pulling up her screen and opeing the chest. Seeing Elven Gloves and a Healing vell.

Camilla gave a slight laugh, then realized her outfit.

"Wha--I ended up changeing my entire apperance, why do I look like a shrine maiden!? This is embarresing...I didn't expect for this to happen..." she said quietly, examining her dress and scarf. Camilla looked at her pigtails. 'My hair is silver?? Hm, I wonder...' she thought, then moving her hand to her ears, finding them rather sharper.

"I'm an elf to? This is embarrising..." she mumbled as she started walking down the small path realizing the only shoes she had were small little slip on sandals.

"This REALLY sucks..." she sighed.

After fighting some boars I wondered how low my level was. I looked in the top left corner, '32....WHAT!?!? There's no way that these low leveled enemies gave me that much exp.! I can't change it either!? I don't think this is supposed to happen......' I tried thinking of a way to conceal my extra levels and decided I should use low level weapons until I'm at a good enough level to catch back on... I felt I had enough time to kill boars and walked back into the village...

Lauren, now Livia, blinked her eyes a little and examined the town. She remembered this, the beginners town: Rimton. "Well, lets see what the 'special item' is." She touched the glowing icon resembling a chest and opened her inventory. "Elven gloves, healing vial, and....why won't this one open?" She shrugged, and put the gloves on. "Might as well." she mumbled. Walking over to a window in one of the stores, she examined her with satisfaction. Long flowing blonde hair, pointed ears, blue eyes, and no glasses. She smiled at the last one. Livia looked across the town. "Where to first?"

Dawn smiled. "Really you'd do that for me! Your the best!" She put her arms around Eon and give him a hug along with a grin before letting go.

"It's Light's Dawn,But you can call me Dawn." She said with a smile. She gave him a wink. Then flicked her wrist and and begin to scroll though the menu. "Ah!" She sent Eon a friend request.

'I should probably get to the dungeon first to get some levels...' I thought to myself as I walked toward the huge dungeon tower...

Eon nodded, having sent the request. He opened another screen, typing in Dawn's name. This message would request the other player to join the Sender's party.

"It'll be easier if we're in a party. That way, we can do a few quests to get you situated with the questing system as well."

He smiled a bit, though it was half-hearted. He flicked his hand downwards, the singal for the menu to close.

"Now then," He began, "Let me show you around Rimton. It's the Beginner's Place." He smiled, but a nagging thought held in the back of his mind:

My character screen stills says I'm level 22....weird, I thought they would reset the character data....

I reached the dungeon tower and teleported to floor 13 since I been there before. And the monsters there were at a decent level they were level 14-21. I looked around for any monsters and found a group of 4 they all saw we and charged with their weapons. I charged as well going passed them, 'My other stats haven't reset either!?!?' I thought. I took out my beginners scythe and slashed them in the backs they were already down the yellow. 'I'm a little too over powered....' I thought and saw that they were going to claw me. I jumped into the air and attacked from above. Then they shattered a screen popped in front of me, '1853 exp. Not bad' I thought as I looked for more....

Livia's eyes wandered across the village, and two of the players talking to another caught her eye. This shouldn't have bothered her, many of the players were meeting up with friends. But the boy looked vaguely familar. She racked her brain for a moment for where she might've seen him. Oh! I remember now, he was one of the Beta testers. Well, closest thing to someone I know. Livia walked over to the two, and smiled. "Hi, I don't mean to be rude, but I just spawned in and I recognized you," she pointed to Eon, "from the Beta test, I was wondering if I could tag along." She was impressed with herself, she usually never talked to anyone new, on or offline. "I'm Livia, by the way."

I got out of the dungeon tower and looked at the total exp. I got. '5281 nice I got 1 level up. And the beginners weapon is breaking...' I thought to myself and went to floor 3 since there was a weapon shop there with more advanced weapons for beginners. A girl was in there, "Hi how may I help you?"

"You got any scythes?"

"I only have one."

"That's fine."

She went to the back and got a white scythe. "That will be 750."

I gave her the money and realized I had the same amount from the beta. And left putting the beginners scythe in my inventory. I named the new scythe Snow and went back to floor 1. I roamed around....

Camilla observed her screen as she walked.

"Friends...zero. Level 10. Weapon: none." she read aloud.

Camilla selected 'Map' as the screen pulled up a map of the town.

"Ah ha! Weapon shop!" she exclaimed, realising the screen as she slowly made her way towards the weapon shop. Camilla observed the weapons in the shop as she arrived. She looked like one of the most under-trained elves and was the only girl in the place.

"A scythe!" she said, spotting a nice looking Scythe leaning against the wall.

I went to floor ten since I heard there was a rare drop from a certain monster. It would revive you or another person if you or they died, it can only be used once though. 'These people are probably making it up there's no such thing.' I remembered they said it was in the forest behind the weapons shop and armor shop. I started heading towards the shops watching people do different things allowed in the game. I looked at my stats again, 'Still overpowered as heck...I wonder what went wrong...'

Dawn flicked the screen down again and clicked yes to the request. Quickly she turned to a voice. "He-he-hello." She pinches herself and turns to Eon.

"It's up to him." She said.

"If your okay with it I don't mind." She gave him a weak smile.

Eon turned to face the newcomer. He tilted his head to one side, his eyes squinting as he tried to remember the person before him, who claimed to have recognized him from the Beta Test.

"Not sure if I remember you, sorry. But I guess you can tag along. I was gonna show Dawn here the town, and hit up a low-level area to farm money." Eon put his hands behind his head in a relaxed position. He flicked his hand up, and invited Livia to the group.

"I'm an archer, by the way." He said, "Best we get to know what we'll be using, so we can coordinate correctly."

Camilla soon walked out of the store with the scythe in hand.

"God that cost a fortune...and I just needed a beginner weapon..." she complained.

Camilla sighed and started walking down the path, but stopped halfway. She looked around, feeling as if she was being watched, keeping guard as she moved off the path.

I found a path leading to the weapons shop and went down it. To see a scythe user as well but it was a beginner scythe. 'Well that proves it I'm too many levels up.' I thought to myself and passed the scythe user. Going towards the weapons shop...

Livia nodded and added both to her party. "I'm an archer too, and I use throwing knives and magic here and there. It comes in handy." She noticed something as she was about to close her menu. her levels hadn't changed. Wouldn't they have reset them? Well, at least I won't have to start completly from scratch.

Dessedere, wandered around, slightly confused. Beta players had the same character data, as far as she could see,and it looked like it wasn't exclusive to them. This game has floors, right? Maybe if I get up as high as possible, I'll learn what's up. Getting up to the 10th floor was easy for her, but she had another problem.

"Found her. It's the PK Hacker. The one who stole all our stuff in ALO. I wonder if she's got any good stuff for us to take from her here..." A A red haired archer said. Two more archers followed her, a girl with a hat and short silver hair, and a boy covered in armor. The group fired shots at Dessedere, who could easily get out of the way due to her speed rating. Dessedere ran towards the armored one, who had stepped up closer to get better accuracy, and cut him down with her axe.

"You're a lower level than I expected. Only twelve." Dessedere laughed as the boy's health meter slowly emptied. Equipping her bow Dessedere shot at the short haired girl, getting her twice. "Level 14. Getting better. Maybe we can be a team when you get stronger." Dessedere shot one more at the girl, finishing her off. The redhead began to panic; her level was definitely below her target.

"No way... There's no way you're strong enough to beat me, not now. Not this early!" The redhead cursed at Dessedere before firing a magic enhanced arrow. Although it hit, it hardly did any damage.

"Goodbye!" Dessedere shot the redhead; a critical hit defeating her in one blow. Dessedere sighed as she examined her opponent's level. "You were the weakest, level 15 but with useless armor." Seeing some dropped items, Dessedere picked up all the items; she couldn't use them herself but decided she could sell them in a shop. "Time to go find a friend!" Dessedere shouted aloud as she began her search.

"I use two swords and magic. Mainly healing." Dawn said with a smile.

"Although...I'm not even level one." She said and gave a quick nervous laugh.

"That might come in to play, along with the fact I that I haven't played this type of rpg before." She gave a sigh.

Eon odded a bit, "That's good then, I guess. It's nice to have a healer. I'm more for illusions, because it's fun to see people to get confused easily." Eon smiled, though it wasn't truly a real smile. "Though we'd best come up with a strategy...I'd say Dawn could heal, and switch with me when we're fighting. Unless whem we're fighting high leveled mobs." Eon looked to Livia, then to Dawn.

"Uh, if you guys are alright with that, that is. I'm fine with anything. We could just rush in willy-nilly and start bashing everything we see." Eon sighed, trying to instill humor, but was miserably failing at it.

I heard someone shout, "Time to go find a friend!" Out load and found out that person was fairly close. 'Wait! What am I doing!? I should focus on this creature.' I thought to myself and headed into a small cave inside it was a large door. I got out my teleportation crystal just in case even though I've heard that many times in SAO the teleportation crystals were unusable. I pushed the large door gentlely and it was a giant room. I looked around then walked into the room when I came close to the center a large beast jumped down into the room.

Bil De Vear: 5 health bars

'5 health bars?!?! This is higher than the first boss in SAO! This is more like a death trap!' I looked behind me the door was slowly closing behind me fast enough that no one would be able to help me.'I have no other choice!' I got out my beginners scythe and it charged at me. I blocked it and ran passed it slashing it on the back multiple times due to my speed stats. I did this until he lost about 3/4 on one health bar and my beginners scythe broke. 'Shoot!' I tried dodging him but he was fast and knocked me in the wall with immense power. I fell to the ground it stared at me waiting for me to get back up so he could kill me. I looked up only having half of my health left, I ran to the left quickly equipting my level 79 scythe Freeze Flame. 'You left me with no choice...' I said walking up to him as he charged at me, 'Death Bringer X' I said quietly and as he was in front of me. I began to slash him fast he was already down to his third health bar. Then he soon had 1/4 of his hp left I jumped into the air and drew an 'X' It hit him and he froze. Breaking like glass...I fell to my knees panting and looked back up. I got 64193 exp. so I gained 4 levels with that the special item and...a cloak of Moonlight?

(omg so long sorry)

Dessedere noticed there was a strong player somewhere nearby, courtesy of an abrupt notification that the powerful monster in the floor was defeated. "Good thing I'm not the monster. I bet the guy that beat him is really cool!" Dessedere giggled while moving about. Upon approaching a set of large doors, Dessedere hid her level and opened them; someone was on their knees, obviously tired. "Hi!" Dessedere shouted excitedly. Although she played the part of her sister perfectly, Dessedere kept her guard up. There was no guarantee he wasn't an angry SAO survivor or ALO Player Killer.
