Is there any ps2 free roaming FF games? By free roam I mean like how Kingdom Hearts is where you can leave and do whatever you like after you beat it. Or free roam like how Jak and Daxter 2 and 3 are like where you stay in a large area and do missions inside the area. Which FF games for ps2 do that? 10 11 or 12?

12 does that, there is a bunch of free roaming and exploration aside from the main game. tons of content! 12 is one of my favorites :D

I thought FFXII was pretty good in terms of free-roaming. But that's just me.

GTA SAN ANDREAS

Final Fantasy VII (for PS1, but you can play PS1 games on PS2), you can freeroam wherever you want before going to kill the final boss.

Final Fantasy X/X-2, because Airship with 20+ cities/areas.

Final Fantasy XII, before killing the final boss.

Final Fantasy XIII (even though it's for PS3) doesn't have much in terms of freeroam because 90% of the game had beautiful areas you just can't go back to.

GTA SAN ANDREAS

That's not an FF game, bud.

What makes Grand Theft Auto even relate to Final Fantasy?

I HAVE SPOKEN!

I think Snow gave you the information you needed. I would just like to weigh in on FFVII a little. It is, in my opinion, the best FF game. And you can free roam over a good sized world.

I might be misunderstanding this slightly, but I believe pretty much all Final Fantasies are free roaming to an extent. I'd personally suggest any game after FF IV, though, namely VI and VII.
