So today rumors started of there being a shooting being planned to happen tomorrow at my high school.  I'm really not sure whether or not to believe them.  I kind of want to believe no one in my school is stupid enough to, one: start a rumor that will get them expelled, or two: try something like that after the rumor spreads.  Some people have informed the police and there will be officers at the building but so far I've heard two of my friends aren't going to school and they both are trying to convince me not to go.

On the subject of whether or not I'll go, I'm not sure.  On one hand, if I don't go then if something did happen I'll be safe. But at the same time there will still be a some of my friends and all the other students at the school there.  I think I'll feel guilty for staying home and being afraid while other people were brave and went in anyways and got hurt.  I really am not that worried, I think its a rumor, and I really don't think anybody would be stupid enough to try anything now that the police are going to be there, but there's still that "what if" that has everyone worried and saying "better safe than sorry" all over the school's Facebook.

Anyways, has anyone else's school had any threats for tomorrow like this?

I'm kind of trying to figure out if it's just because of the recent shooting, or that the world's supposedly going to end, or something that this rumor popped up.  If my school is the only one then its a bit more troubling.

My school's already out, so I don't have any rumors like that, but I'd probably end up staying home if there were similar rumors. Even if it was a slight chance, it could still happen. I'm sure a lot of crazy stuff's gonna happen tomorrow, being December 21st and all, and with the recent shooting, I wouldn't feel very comfortable going. It's all your call, but if it was me, I'd definitely stay.

._. I don't think you should go D: If you do be safe ;_;

I graduated from school. Also, I wouldn't go after hearing that. Best to stay home.

Same thing's been going on at my school all week. Since Monday there have been threats about stuff happening tomorrow, I doubt any of them are going to actually follow through, but better safe than sorry, so I'm gonna stay home tomorrow. I already know over a dozen people who aren't going to school tomorrow so odds are a bunch of people are going to be out at your school too, so if you can stay home go ahead, no one's gonna think you were a coward for not showing up when there is a potential threat- it's just being smart xD

This rumor has been spreading in my school like a wildfire. :I

Even with this rumor going around, I'm still going to school. I'm not going to miss out an a day of education. :/my attendance is too important xD I'm kinda skeptical about the rumor. It may just be someone trying to scare me about the recent shootings, I dunno. :/

During my sophmore year there was a "bomb threat" or a shooting threat that was "written on a bathroom wall" that gave a date.

I think there was one or two extra police officers but nothing happened.

Even the kid (on a different day) that was running around a neighborhood "nearby the school" (according to the intercom whatever) with a pistol didn't even come to the school.

I don't think you should go. :/ It may just be a rumor but still. I'm on winter break so my school hasn't had any rumors like that.

lol I went to school and only about a third of the people were there. My second bell only had 4 people. We had cookies, cupcakes, and played games. It was epic. xD

oh and one of the two girls who started the rumors was arrested and is probably going to juvy
