Honestly, I actually think both of these (A and A2) were very good. I haven't really played the original FFT War of the Lions, but I find many people telling 'SE just took the theme of FFT and threw it out the window'

Final Fantasy Tactics and A2 were some of my favorite FF games. They hold many of my early childhood memories Don't even get me started on the times I had with War of the Lions and the PSX release. 

FF Tactics aren't bad games. They are some nice refreshing from regular FF games. 

 

But, the truth is that they aren't all that good compared to other strategy games

You could say that, and what do you mean by 'good as other strategy games'? Pokemon Conquest?

 

I have to agree though, with a little more effort, it could've been a much better game, but FF doesn't exactly care shiz on spin-offs anyway

Nah I meant more like games such as Total War, Warhammer 40k and stuff like that  

 

I think that FF tactics could get really good sequel if there would be more buyers to these, but of course angry fans only buy numbered titles that follow the trail of other FF games.
