I'm thinking of getting......

Posted

A bird, A green cheeked Conure to be specific, although these birds are small they can live for 30 years or more.

They are a parrot which also means they require alot of care and attention and I was just wondering, what do you guys/gals think? If you had the option would you get one?

I'm only asking because I want other peoples opinions on getting a bird that requires this much care.

[align=justify]If you have the time, it can be a great companion. I personally have 6 birds (2 budgies, 1 zebra finch, 2 cockatiels and a scarlet-chested parrot) and even if they require time, my family and I don't regret adopting them. I spent some time with Conures in an aviary and they are one of my favorite parrots because they were really gentle and funny. But they attacked my half-brother and my mom, go figure. So I guess it really depends on the time you plan to spend with your bird, because it'll be much easier to befriend him if you spend a lot of time with him out of his cage.

I personally never owned birds before, so idk how to handle them. But the bird is in a position to have his belly scratched. SATISFY HIS URGE!

I love my birds,I can train one in 3 days, for it to stay with me without biting. They're so cute,my favorite likes me so much, she won't stay with anyone if I'm not there, and if I go away she starts to shout
