Need some help with my PSP-1000...

Posted

Well, yesterday, I decided to put some money on my PSN and buy Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL and FFIX. I downloaded Tactics no problem, and played that for a while. I decided to download FFIX overnight, which is exactly what I did. I plugged it in to my charger, which doesn't seem to charge when the system is turned on, but I decided it was worth a shot due to the few hours I knew it would take to download the game. So, I woke up, and my PSP's battery light was still at green. I decided to hit a button to take it out of sleep mode, and nothing happened. I held down the power switch for 10 or so seconds, but it wouldn't switch off. I left it for a bit and returned, and the batter light wasn't on anymore. I decided its battery had just died, and charged it for a bit, and the battery light switched to orange to show it was charging. I returned to it 20 or so minutes later, unplugged it, and turned it back on. Once again, no luck. Did I brick it? Is there any way to fix it? I really don't want to have to buy another one...

I'm afraid, my friend, your psp has gone to video game heaven.

hmmm

take it over to your local video game shop. they may be able to fix it if indeed it is possible. Does seem slim though :/

I was thinking about that. I also wonder if I just fried the battery somehow, and if a new one would fix it... I think my 3rd option would be to ask Sony about it, but they probably wouldn't help at all... This really sucks... ;_;

EDIT: It's working again! :D Looks like it just needed some time in the charger...

The only thing left to do is...send it off into the great gaming thing in the sky T.T Like Sora'sMum said, or buy a new one(they aren't that expensive anymore).

It's actually working again now. It's a miracle! :D It nearly joined my old PS2 Phat... RIP PS2...

Grats.

Actually that usually happens when crash on a game.. just remove the battery for a period of time, allowing the ram to reset. But as seeing your miracle I can only say... lucky! keep playing!
