Very simple. I'll start with a 2 word phrase. The next person will then keep one of those words and add another to make a different phrase. 
 
Person 1: happy Halloween
Person 2: happy birthday
Person 3: birthday cake
 
And so on... Starting with:
 
Broken Glass.
