Friend Codes and Wi-fi Battles in Heartgold and Soulsilver

Posted

I'm really interested in how this all works, and am really wanting to battle some new opponents across the world :) I know I need 'friend codes' but 1) where do I find my own code? and 2) can people send me theirs so we can fight?

Cheers everyone. I await a challanger(s) ;)

I don't have my game with me at the moment, but when I do I'll post it.  I hope it's not one of those where one hit will make them faint no matter what it is.

I got some problems in my WFC setting in my DS and somehow it doesn't work if my Broadband had a password,it worked fine with my old broadband that I didn't put a password on but I don't know how to get it right in my new Broadband that has the password.

once I figure this out I'll share my Friendcode here because I'm really looking for a battle

I'm sure when you use the WFC from the Pokemon centre, the union room i think, you automatically get your FC in your Pal Pad.

I dont own HG/SS but I DO own B/w 2 I WISH WE COULD BATTLE THAT WAY ;-;

There is something in the WFC that always tell me that the Broadband password setting isn't compatable with the DS WFC....is there a solution to this???? I was playing online just fine with my old broadband that didn't have a password but with my new one that has password I couldn't play online anymore

this sounds like a firewall issue rather than a simple password protection problem.... all ever so irritating!

You find your friend code after you go into wi-fi. Then check your Pal Pad for your FC. Also in there you can register other people's FC.

I haven't played 4th gen in a very long time. If I ever do, I'll probably go back to standard OU.

Well, you could always take off the password from the broadband settings panel (the one where you go when you type your IP address in your browser) I'm not too sure with Firewalls but you can turn them off too ;-; Usually NWFC errors have an error code, maybe you could refer to with the Nintendo's Official Site for more support. That's the best i can help ;-;
