The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted April 27, 2013 Hey everyone, how's it going? Well, I hope your all doing okay. Well listen everyone, lately, I've been walking around the neighborhood and thinking back to my childhood days, and I've been thinking about how amazing it is that time flies by so fast. One day I'm 6 years old, and in the blink of an eye I'm almost an adult. On May 5 I'll be 18, and so I'll become an adult. I'm looking forward to it, but at the same time, I find myself looking back and pondering about all the fond and wonderful memories of my childhood, something that's had me thinking these days. And so yesterday, while Mom was watching a TV show in the living room, I went to my room to see a movie on my DVD. I looked through my drawer where I keep all my movies, and the first one that caught my eye was Piglet's Big Movie, a Disney movie that released in the year 2003 I presume. I smiled as I looked at the cover and put it on my DVD, and as I watched it, I felt the sensation of a part of my childhood coming back to my memory. As the movie began, I found myself happily singing along to the Winnie The Pooh theme song, and I saw the movie with much delight and wonder, just like I used to when I was a kid. During the course of the movie, I appreciated the message of it, and I felt goosebumps because of the sheer innocence and wonder that these characters portrayed. At the end of the movie, when everyone tells Piglet how much they appreciate him for all he's done, I can't help but tear up at the moment. When the credits rolled, I was like: "Wow, one day I'm a kid and now I'm almost an adult. But things like these, which I keep close to my heart, allow me to remember the days of my childhood." And so I think to myself that childhood is indeed a phase of life that I won't ever forget, and it's one I'l always deeply appreciate in my heart, because it's what allowed me to grow as a person. Now that childhood is left behind and adulthood lies ahead, I stand ready to face everything that life will throw at me. I'll always enjoy the present and look forward to the future, but I'll also look back fondly to my past and smile. So everyone, have you seen something or found something in your home that brings back precious childhood memories? 4 Zoro317, Firaga, Anya and 1 other reacted to this
Elrandir 783 Posted April 27, 2013 Something that always makes me remember my childhood is my NES. Yeah, every time I see that little machine, it takes me back 18 years ago when I was 5. Man...how time flies. One moment you are playing with other kids and doing really random stuff and the next you're going to work and school at the same time. I am happy to say that I had a good childhood 8D 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this

Weiss 8,279 Posted April 27, 2013 Tumblr is seriously the perfect thing to relive my childhood. People I follow tend to reblog stuff I watched as a kid or saw as a kid which is great. Seeing something cheap also reminds me of childhood. lol 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Zoro317 111 Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) Yeah, I had a bit of "Peter Pan Syndrome" myself a few years back, just before starting college. I just randomly started thinking back to my childhood memories (the good ones, anyway) and how I'd never be able to relive them. On the brighter side, there's nothing stopping us from making new memories as we grow older and experience the world in a new light. On the other hand, there are just some things I never grow out of, Kingdom Hearts being the obvious one... The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted April 27, 2013 It just goes to show you how significant great childhood memories can influence us in our current lives. I for one, shall always retain a part of my crazy insane silly childhood personality, and of this you can be sure, when I become a father, I'll play on the ground and swing on the swings with my children, and I'll do so without a care in the world. Just because your an adult doesn't mean that you have to stop having funny childlike moments. 2 Roy and Zoro317 reacted to this

WhiteCrow 55 Posted April 29, 2013 I relive my childhood memories watching movies from that time, such as the first three Pokémon-movies and and Piglet's Big Movie too actually. Almost always, during the ending credits, I tend to tear up. Because it's not just the movies, it's the memories connected to them too. Now, a part of me says: I want to grow up and have my own life. But also a part of me says: I don't want to grow up, I want to go back into being a child. Now, when I'm about to graduate from 9th grade, my best two friends are moving, and I'm left with 0 friends with me as I go to highschool. And I'm afraid I will be bullied a little, not like physical violence nor calling names, but leaving me outside and talking cr** about me behind my back. But I'll get through it.
