Tiffany hints of new Japanese single in summer

In an interview with JoongAng Daily at Music Bank’s waiting room on April 4th, Tiffany hinted of Girls’ Generation’s new Japanese single in this coming summer. She went on to describe the single as the most difficult choreography in history even though the movements are not huge but because of the fast beats of the song, which is energy draining.

Meanwhile, Tiffany also mentioned her thoughts about doing a drama. She said that she has not done one before so she has no confidence in the aspect and she said she needs to train more to improve her acting.

However, her participation in musicals has enabled her to learn a lot and she has experienced the fun of acting through it as well.

TaeTiSeo: Girls’ Generation became closer despite busy individual activities

 

 

 

TaeTiSeo members revealed that they have become closer to the other Girls’ Generation members.

 

While meeting up with OSEN recently, TaeTiSeo said, “Due to a lot of individual activities, it’s hard for us to meet one another nowadays. As we have always been interacting with one another through chat rooms on our smartphones, we’ve become much stronger.”

 

Taeyeon said, “Having said that, among the members, we’ve been saying words that show we miss one another frequently nowadays. As we’ve not been taking a lot of photos together for remembrance after elementary and middle schools, we take photos whenever we get the chance to see each other.”

 

She added, ” As the 3-member TaeTiSeo, we will be working really hard with much confidence but I think the energy is very different compared to when all 9 of us are on the stage together. As there are only 3 of us in TaeTiSeo, the waiting rooms assigned to us in broadcast stations are much smaller as well.”

 

Tiffany then said, “I’m very thankful to the other members for sincerely supporting TaeTiSeo. As I was watching our ‘Twinkle’ music video along with the other Girls’ Generation members, there was a funny moment when the members were suspecting if our agency is investing more in TaeTiSeo than in Girls’ Generation. I think we’re loving each other more with every passing day.”

 

The girls also mentioned about some aspects where they have improved while carrying out activities as a subunit group. Tiffany added, “There is always a limit to the styles that a member could try out when we’re doing activities as the 9-member Girls’ Generation. Therefore, we could only present the same style. However, in the case of TaeTiSeo, as we’re promoting with only 3 members, there is a much wider range of choices to select from and thus, it’s possible to present various styles more frequently than when we’re promoting as 9 members.”

 

Taeyeon continued, “While doing promotional activities as Girls’ Generation, choreography is the major aspect in our performances but for TaeTiSeo, it’s more vocal-oriented rather than the choreography. I think that is the biggest change we’ve experienced so far.”

 

TaeTiSeo kicked off their promotional activities with their first performance on Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown’ and has been receiving a lot of good comments for their excellent live performances.

'Twinkle' Ranked at 1st on both Weekly Music and Weekly Album Charts!

 

 

GIRLS’ GENERATION – TTS swept various weekly music charts with their mini album ‘Twinkle.’

The album, which was released on May 2nd, topped the weekly chart (4/30~5/6) of Hanteo Chart and YES 24, count chart for album sales.

Also, the title song ‘Twinkle’ was ranked at 1st on the weekly chart of various music websites including Mnet, Olleh Music, Soribada, Bugs, NAVER MUSIC, DAUM MUSIC, etc.

In addition, the music video of ‘Twinkle’ released on April 30th, currently has about 8,850,000 views (as of May 7th at 11 a.m.) and took the 2nd place on this week’s ‘Most Viewed Videos’ of YouTube worldwide chart (as of May 6th) following a pop star Rihanna. Also, the music video entered TOP3 on this week’s ‘Most Discussed Videos,’ ‘Most Liked’ and ‘Top Favorited’ of YouTube worldwide chart.

This concert features participation from Hallyu’s top artistes such as Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, Wonder Girls, Kara, Beast, MBLAQ, Sistar, f(x) and Super Junior.

 

MBC kicked off its large scale concert in Bangkok, Thailand and subsequently in other venues such as Tokyo Dome (Japan), Paris (France), Niigata (Japan), Sydney (Australia). Come May 21st, MBC along with the symbol of world’s IT industry, Google are set to rock the Shoreline Amphitheater (capacity of about 22,500) with captivating performances from the popular Kpop artistes. In October last year, in order to promote K-pop and K-drama overseas, MBC signed an agreement with Google to provide its broadcast contents through YouTube.

 

MBC Korean Music Wave in Google will be aired across the globe live through the MBC K-POP YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/MBCkpop) and YouTube Presents (http://www.youtube.com/presents). Having aired various concerts from top world musicians such as Jason Mraz, Taylor Swift and Rebecca Black previously, this will be the first time a Kpop concert is introduced on YouTube Presents. Through this Kpop concert, which is jointly organized with the world’s most popular video platform, YouTube, it is seen as an opportunity to promote and spread the Hallyu craze even further globally.

 

The admission to the concert is free and ticket requests can be made through the official ticketing site (http://www.powerhouselive.net/KoreanMusicWaveInGoogle.aspx). The tickets will be opened to public starting May 12th (Saturday) at 7pm PDT.

 

The MBC Korean Music Wave in Google concert will be hosted by Taeyeon and Tiffany with participation from 9 groups, who will be captivating the audience with special performances of their popular songs. The performances will also be aired at a later date through MBC TV.

Girls' Generation confesses to still being nervous on stage

 

 

It has been almost five years since Girls’ Generation made their debut but the girls confessed that they still feel nervous when they go on stage.

 

Jessica, Tiffany and Taeyeon participated in the recent recording of KBS 2TV’s ‘Happy Together Season 3′, which will be aired on May 10th. According to Jessica, when they first kicked off the promotional activities for ‘Hoot’ on three music programs, she made mistakes with the lyrics.

 

Jessica said that even though they have been performing many times, she still suffers from ‘stage nervousness’ and in fact, she feels even more nervous going on a small stage rather than a huge one.

 

Tiffany, who is currently promoting with Taeyeon and Seohyun as a subunit group TaeTiSeo, said that she could feel her hands and knees trembling while performing on stage. She also talked about how Taeyeon’s hands were shaking while holding the microphone during an interview which was carried out right after their performance. Taeyeon then stated that although Girls’ Generation has been active for almost 5 years, they still feel nervous.

 

In this episode of ‘Happy Together 3′, YoonA, the female lead in KBS 2TV’s ‘Love Rain’ made a surprise appearance much to the delight of the staff, comedians and guests on the show.

Girls' Generation Stays in the 40 Kg Range Without Diet or Exercise

 

 

 

The members of Girls' Generation confessed that their weight, which is in the forties range (kilograms), stays the same without any diets or exercise.

 

On the episode of "Happy Together" that aired on May 10, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, Tiffany andJessica along with comedians Shin Bo Ra, Park Ji Sun and Jung Joo Ri guest starred.

 

The talk was leading toward the theme of "Why Do Women?" and the members of Girls' Generation were asked to truthfully reveal their weights.

 

They were asked, "Are there any members whose Internet profile weight differ from their actual weight?" Then Jessica answered, "I think my profile lists me as 45 kilograms (99 pounds) but it fluctuates by 1 or 2 kilograms from time to time." Taeyeon and Tiffany also said that their weights fluctuate by that amount.

 

 

Then they were asked, "You all keep your weights in the forties range. Are you on any diets?" Then they answered, "No, we don' go on diets. We hate exercising too," which drew much envy from the cast.

 

Then MC Park Mi Sun commented, "Since you girls dance very hard on stage, I guess there's no need for separate exercising for you to lose weight," which made everyone agree.

Why Was Park Myung Soo Upset at Girls Generation's Jessica During Their "Cold Noodle" Days?

 

 

 

Comedian Park Myung Soo revealed that he was upset at Girls' Generation's Jessica during the promotion of their duet, "Cold Noodles (Naeng Myun)."

 

On the episode of "Happy Together" that aired on May 10, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, Tiffany and Jessica along with comedians Shin Bo Ra, Park Ji Sun and Jung Joo Ri guest starred and shared many stories.

 

Attention was especially grabbed when Park Myung Soo stated that he was upset at Jessica during the promotion of their duet, "Cold Noodles," from the MBC variety show, "Infinite Challenge."

 

 

 

 

Park Myung Soo explained, "The choreography for 'Cold Noodles' was created by the Girls' Generation choreography team. So how could I follow that? I messed up a lot from behind and make a lot of mistakes."

 

He continued, "Usually, when someone on stage with you makes a lot of mistakes, you worry for them and stuff but Jessica - she only cared about herself looking pretty on stage," making the studio erupt in laughter.

 

Then the MCs said, "Well at least one person should do a good job on stage," and "Jessica saved the performance that you almost ruined." Then Park Myung Soo tried to clear things up and added, "She was truly a pro," which set off another round of laughter.

Korean Drama "Love Rain" Is Exported to the Americas and Europe

 

 

“Love Rain” had begun pre-sales in Japan even before it began its broadcast. Now the drama has been sold in nearly 12 different countries/regions. Here is the list of countries/regions: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore, the Americas, and Europe.

 

A representative of the production company stated, “After hearing the news that the drama was sold in a lot of Asian countries and also the American regions and Europe, the actors/actresses and staff members were all happy. Now they are trying hard with even more responsibility. Please continue your support.”

 

“Love Rain” is set in two different periods, the 1970s and 2012. Jang Geun Suk and YoonA play Seo In Ha and Kim Yoon Hee, two college students who fall in love with each other in the 1970s. However the two do not end up being together in the end. In the present, their offspring also played by the same stars meet and fall in love.
