Through this campaign, food supplies (1 tonne for each group of celebrity) will be donated in the names of the stars participated in the pictorial shoot to a protection center for abandoned dogs. Some of the revenues collected from the sales of the campaign’s merchandise will also be donated to the Society of Animal Freedom. [NEWS] Japanese mobile users acknowledge Girls' Generation's top draw dance performance

 

Girls’ Generation was selected as the group with the best dance performance by mobile users in Japan.

 

On June 18th, the ‘Ranking of Girl groups with great dance performance’ was released by Japan’s mobile music service site Recochoku. From the users’ voting result, Girls’ Generation took the no.1 spot in the survey.

 

E-Girls came in 2nd while Japan’s 3-member techno-pop girl group Perfume took the no.3 spot. Kara and Speed were ranked 4th and 5th respectively.

Yuri flaunts her gorgeous looks through the Paparazzi-concept pictorials in ‘@Star1′ magazine revealed on June 18th.

 

Yuri’s photos for ‘@Star1′ were shot at Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, which is also the home to American designer, Tony Burch’s Flagship Store and also the Lifestyle Concept Store, 10 Corso Como.

 

 

During the pictorial shoot, Yuri also revealed her thoughts about her first acting experience. She said, “Since it was my first shot at acting, it was much harder than i thought. Honestly, due to the difficulties, I was able to enjoy it.”

 

She added, “If there’s a thing that has changed the most after I starred in ‘Fashion King’, it has to be the fact that now, aunties and uncles can recognize me more than before. In restaurants or streets, they seem to be able to recognize the Yuri inside ‘Fashion King’. It’s really amazing. Now, I know the power of dramas.”

 

 

In addition, Yuri also expressed her enthusiasm in acting by saying, “In the future, it would be great if I have the opportunities to act again. I would like to continue challenging myself in acting.”

Having released their first mini album ‘Twinkle’ back in May, TaeTiSeo brought out their bright and lively charms for ‘Elle Girl’. Besides that, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun are also the first Korean stars to be featured as the cover models for the Korean edition of ‘Elle Girl’, thus making this particularly issue a really meaningful one.

 

In the interview conducted along with the photo shoot, Taeyeon talked about TaeTiSeo’s activities as a unit group. On the show, Sunny said, “It will be Girls’ Generation’s 5th anniversary soon.” MC Han SukJoon then asked, “How many more years do you think Girls’ Generation could carry out activities together?” In reply to the question, Sunny smiled and said, “As long as there is rookie mentality in us, I think we could still be together as Girls’ Generation, even after more than 10 years.”

[News] Sunny Wants Girls' Generation to Remain AActive for 'Ten or more years'

 

 

On June 19th, Girls’ Generation’s Sunny appeared as a contestant on KBS 2TV’s “1 vs. 100″, making an attempt at the 50 million won prize money. During the broadcast, Sunny revealed her thoughts of wanting to be active as Girls’ Generation for a long time.

 

Sunny said, “It’s Girls’ Generation’s fifth anniversary soon,” as she referred to her debut in the nine-member Girls’ Generation in 2007 with their single album “Into the New World”. The show’s MC, announcer Han Seokjun, asked, “How many more years do you think you can promote as Girls’ Generation for?” Sunny replied, “If we maintain our first intentions in our hearts, I think we will be able to be active as Girls’ Generation for ten or more years.”

 

She added, “It’s most rewarding when I hear that fans gained strength from watching Girls’ Generation. Girls’ Generation will put on more performances to give you strength so you can say those things for a long long time.” Sunny was eliminated during the sixth stage during the episode.

Yiruma, a world-famous South Korean pianist and composer, was recently asked about giving an idol group a song. In the interview, he revealed that he would like to compose a song for Girls’ Generation as well as his affection for Tiffany, saying, “I want to exchange music with singers that do music completely different from mine. It would be a thrilling experience, having my music played under flashy lights, amidst a crowd going wild. I think out of girl groups, Girls’ Generation would be nice. I felt affection for Girls’ Generation’s TIffany after I heard that she said she liked my music. I was really thankful.”

Lee Minwoo: Thought of Hyoyeon as the second BoA

 

 

On the June 22nd’s episode of MBC’s ‘Dancing With The Stars 2′, Hyoyeon’s audition videos, as well as testimonies by her seniors will be revealed.

TaeTiSeo members asked each other questions for the segment, and during Taeyeon’s turn, Seohyun asked, “Why do you always laugh so hard at fart jokes?”

 

“Oh, the sound is just too funny,” Taeyeon replied, but she seemed to be holding in her laughter. She tried to continue, and said, “The sound is…” but she couldn’t complete the answer as she burst out laughing.

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung revealed her honest feelings about recent comparisons of her acting to fellow group members, Yuri, Jessica, and YoonA.

 

In the interview featured in the July issue of @star1 Magazine, Sooyoung opened about the comparisons, saying, “Yuri and Jessica recently made their acting debuts through TV drama series. I really supported them, but honestly, I was surprised by their acting because they were so good. YoonA also acted starting from a long time ago and continued to build her own niche.”

 

She continued, “But I don’t feel much pressure from the comparisons among our group members. I think as long as I focus on my own style, I’ll be good.”

 

“Even before I became a singer, I’ve had dreams of becoming an actress and tried out for a lot of auditions. I want to keep challenging myself not just as a singer but also as an actress,” Sooyoung said.
