Girls' Generation to Release New Japanese Single and "COMPLETE VIDEO COLLETION" DVD in September

Girls’ Generation will be making a Japanese comeback next month! It has just been announced that the group will be releasing a new single in Japan this September.

There are no details yet on the new single except that it will contain two new tracks and will be released on September 26. The limited edition of the single will come with a DVD and stickers.

On the same day that the single will drop, Girls Generation will also be releasing a DVD titled “GIRLS’ GENERATION COMPLETE VIDEO COLLECTION.” The DVD will include all of the group’s Korean and Japanese music videos with some special videos available only in this collection such as re-edited footages of “Gee,” and “MR.TAXI” from their first Japan tour. This collection will be available in DVD and Blu-ray format aside from the usual limited and regular editions.

The limited edition of the DVD will also come with a lot of items such as playing cards, postcards and a smartphone earphone jack.

SM Entertainment to Release 'SM BEST ALBUM 3' on August 10th

A “best album” containing all music from SM Entertainment, “SM BEST ALBUM 3″, will be released on August 10th.

This album was planned to celebrate the upcoming SM Entertainment art exhibit that will be opening on August 10th at COEX World Trade Center in Seoul. This will be the third “best album”, twelve years since the last. “SM BEST ALBUM 1″ was first released in 1994, and “SM BEST ALBUM 2″ was released in 2001. SM Entertainment revealed, “Because you can hear all the music that’s been loved by global music fans, we are expecting a good response.”

This “best album” will be made up of six CDs and will contain 89 songs released through SM Entertainment albums from 2001 to 2012, in the order that they were released. From Yoo Youngjin to EXO, SM Entertainment’s history will be able to be seen as one.

In addition, SM Entertainment’s artists’ own hit songs and OST hit songs, such as Taeyeon’s “Can You Hear Me” and Tiffany’s “By Myself”, will be included in the album.

Half of Total Stock of Girls' Generation Stamps Sold in One Hour

The Girls’ Generation stamps that have started going on sale on August 9th are exploding with popularity.

Choi Jinwook, the postal team leader at Seoul Central Post Office, specially created the first celebrity stamps using the members of Girls’ Generation, who have been active worldwide, as models. He revealed that at 10 AM, an hour after they began sales, 600 of the prepared 1,200 sets of stamps were sold.

These stamps were in celebration of Girls’ Generations’ fifth anniversary and were composed of nine stamps carrying photos from their third Korean album, “The Boys”, along with each of their autographs. Stamps showing their past releases, such as “Gee” and “Oh!”, were also included for a total of fourteen stamps. Each set of stamps costs 20,000 won.

Lee Min Ho and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA continue their advertising campaign for outdoor clothing brand Eider. The two recently released shots from their couple shoots for the fall-winter campaign of Eider.

Lee Min Ho and YoonA embodied the “Scent of a Couple” concept of the season’s campaign. According to reports, the two were complete professionals that enhanced their portrayal of youthful love in a romantic season. Both stylish and good-looking, Lee Min Ho and YoonA’s good attitude on set also had the on-site staff impressed.



On-site accounts also said Lee Min Ho acted out the romantic autumn season with his glittering eyes. He gently lifted his gaze to the camera, capturing the sharp profile of his nose and chin. Combined with his luxury, outdoor jacket, it created the robust and dreamy atmosphere of the fall. Meanwhile, YoonA’s orange jacket created a tough and rugged look that was previously unseen on her.

According to Eider officials, “Lee Min Ho and YoonA has helped raise the Eider brand, as well as understand what the brand is all about. We are determined to shoot high-quality pictorials more than ever.”

[Event] KCON 2012 in Irvine, CA

 

 

At last, a convention for Hallyu fans!

 

KCON 2012, the first large scale K-Pop convention in the U.S., will be held in Irvine, CA at the Verizon Amphitheater on October 13. Produced by Mnet America, this full day event will feature autograph signing sessions, celebrity panels, contests and workshops geared towards fans of K-Pop and K-dramas. The event will conclude with a star-studded K-Pop concert. Tickets go on sale on August 24 for $40.

 

As the first large scale convention, this event has hopes to become an annual event which will bring American K-Pop fans closer to artists and professionals in the K-Pop industry.

 

Details about the celebrity guests and the concert line-up are still TBA, so stay tuned for the latest news.

Girls' Generation Is The Most Influential Celebrity in Korea

The yearly rankings by the Sisa Journal for the people who move Korea has been published, and Girls’ Generation has been ranked as the #1 most influential celebrity for the second year in a row.

Girls’ Generation was in first place with 26.2% of the votes, ahead of the nation’s MC Yoo Jaesuk with 21% and Park Jinyoung with 10.1%. Girls’ Generation widened the gap since last year where they were first with 18.2% compared to Yoo Jaesuk’s 14.2%. The worldwide success of “The Boys”, the Girls’ Generation – TTS subunit, Yoona and Yuri’s drama roles, and each of the nine members helped to promote the name “Girls’ Generation” to gain even more recognition within Korea and abroad as the representative of Hallyu. Girls’ Generation was sixth on the list in 2009 and 2010 before taking the top spot in 2011.



Additionally, Mnet released their list of top 100 idol stars, and all nine Girls’ Generation members were represented within the top eleven spots. Mnet’s poll took into account online voting from fans for 30% of the final score and the results from the internationally respected polling company Gallup, which accounted for the remaining 70% of the score.

Girls’ Generation member Jessica appears in a pictorial exuding a mature womanly charm.

Though she has recently been busy going back and forth between South Korea and Japan for girl group Girls’ Generation’s promotional activities, Jessica posed for a pictorial featuring French brand Cartier in fashion magazine “W Korea.” The pictorial portrays Jessica as an elegant woman having thrown off her cute and girlish image for a beautiful and adult one.

One photograph shows Jessica with her hair in naturally flowing waves, wearing a dress setting off her perfect figure, and with a white jacket draped over her shoulders. Jessica’s deep smoky makeup enhanced her intense gaze and her air of haughty elegance.

In another photograph, Jessica gazes riventingly off into the distance, wearing a black lace dress, and holding a red clutch.

During the shoot, staff members were impressed by Jessica’s ability to work hard at the shoot without regard to her busy schedule, and that despite her appearance of coldness, in reality, Jessica is a girl who brightly laughs a lot.

[Translation] Ceci Interview: 'Kwon Yuri's Beautiful Period Of Growth'

 

 

Another name Girls' Generation's Yuri has earned, actress Kwon Yuri. And a 24-year old Kwon Yuri that we don't know. At the point where all three images overlap, she started to speak words that were probably thought out for a while now. Yuri's face wasn't trying to hide the many worries that have been wrapped around her, and different scenes than usual.

 

CeCi: The drama 'Fashion King' ended in May. I think it might have felt like a first crush as it was your first time acting in a drama.

 

YURI: That expression really hits home. My heart fluttered like my first crush, and I really ancticipated it. There was as much pain as I was lacking [in acting]. It was a very innocent, sad emotion, but I think it would be difficult trying to express how I feel exactly. I don't know if it's because I fell so deeply into my role of 'Anna', there was a time where I even worried, 'What kind of person am I, really?' It was a time where I hurt and learned a lot. Only two, three months had gone by, but it was really embarrassing watching myself. Not too long ago, during an overseas schedule, I saw 'Fashion King' on TV, and I changed the channel without even realizing it. (laugh) Watching it again after bracing myself, it was really nice.

 

CeCi: You keep saying you were hurting a lot. Was it the hurt that the role of Anna had, or from your own acting or the results of the drama?

 

YURI: I don't have even 1% of regret with the results. It's about my acting and character. With each episode, worries and hurt started emerging as I focused on my role. As soon as I saw the script for 'Fashion King', because I wanted to do it so much, I just jumped into it, but there was a scene in the first episode where I had to use English perfectly. Regret and worries started with, 'Ah, did I make the wrong decision?', and the more I got to know my character, it felt even more like a difficult one. But I think that is why I wanted to finish it even more. If it was destiny that [the role of] Anna came to me, I felt completing the drama in itself would help answer some doubts [i had] about myself. The time I spent worrying and acting was a time for me to answer all the questions I had about myself.

 

CeCi: Your role was very heavy and complicated. Did Anna's depression intrude your inner self?

 

YURI: I want to say, 'Not really,' very calmly, but I was actually really depressed. Because I wanted to feel Anna a lot closer, I could have been doing that on purpose. In order to hide that, I would act more cheerfully, and the staff probably didn't know. But people that are close to me all asked why I've become so gloomy.

 

CeCi: Have you grasped any survival skill through your first experience on a filming set?

 

YURI: My own method of getting along with anyone is 'ask a lot of questions'. Not being embarrassed of not knowing something. I try to talk, patiently, until I a trust is gained. CeCi: You'd need to be really brave for that. Did it work naturally?YURI: I'm actually really shy, so I usually can't do it well. But on the drama set, it is true that I am the youngest and am lacking the most. So in order to at least not cause any damage, I felt that the only thing I could do was gain answers from seniors and learn quickly.

 

CeCi: I would think you would feel lonely on set alone, unlike when promoting with Girls' Generation.

 

YURI: I felt a lot of things. I thought, 'There are a lot of benefits I can enjoy with my superficial talents', and my affection for my members deepened. While I was filming, TTS was promoting, so I sang and danced along while watching music programs. The staff members said, 'You're a natural born singer', and I agreed with it. Thinking, 'Singing as a member of Girls' Generation is really a great happiness!'.

 

CeCi: Hearing 'superficial talent' from Girls' Generation's Yuri, I'm surprised at the strong expression. Is it really like that?

 

YURI: It means that, compared to the small talent I have now, I'm receiving copious amounts of love and understanding. The love I can give is so small compared to the amount I receive, and I've wondered how I could pay back all of that love.

 

CeCi: The drama credits carried your real name, Kwon Yuri, instead of Yuri.

 

YURI: If you look at it from a large scale, it feels like 'Yuri Act 2'. It simply carried my real name. I've always dreamed of the three characters of my name appearing on tv, but when I actually did see the three characters reading 'Kwon Yuri', it felt a bit unusual.

 

CeCi: Whether it's in a good way or bad, 'Fashion King' was a drama that the word 'youth' suited.

 

YURI: My heart felt full, and also was a bit lame (not really sure what term to translate this to).... That's right. It was an extremely realistic youth. There were some that said there were some things that were uncomfortable or stifling to watch, and there were others who said they didn't feel well after watching it. Because it was a drama that constantly showed the true intentions rather than a heart fluttering fantasy, there were various responses.

 

CeCi: Your 20s, how do you want your youth to be?

 

YURI: I hope my youth, hurts a lot. I hope to be able to accept life's ups and downs matter of factly, and overcome them well. I will grow and learn twice as many things within that time. Because I'm the type who looks for trouble and worries too much, exhausting myself, but I wish it would just be like that.

 

CeCi: As an actress, your first steps were a bit heavy. What do you think would be your next best step?

 

YURI: I don't want to play a light role immediately. As long as it isn't a role that overuses my image, I want to try any role.

 

CeCi: Do you have any image or role that you want to be in charge of within Girls' Generation?

 

YURI: I did when we first debuted. But as I gained experience, I felt that it would be nice to become a person that doesn't have a set image, modifier, or role. I want to attempt many things, and become a person who suits challenges. If I had to choose, I want an energetic image. A person that gives off the feeling of liveliness! If you think about it, energetic and liveliness, in the end, becomes charisma. I think that charisma is something that comes out when you trust and are sure of yourself.

 

CeCi: Are you a person who has a lot of trust and is sure of themselves?

 

YURI: I usually don't at all. It's to the point where my fans even call me a dork, so I don't want to become perfect in my regular life either. When I try to change myself, I become more exhausted. But it's blatantly there when I'm on stage. I think [the trust and being sure of myself] is present in a working Kwon Yuri.

 

CeCi: Girls' Generation is like the newly coined 'whole'. Is there a next image of Girls' Generation that you've been drawing up?

 

Yuri: I wonder about that every day. In order to meet great expectations, to be satisfied on our own, I hope the wall Girls' Generation has to overcome is only Girls' Generation. I also hope the people who break Girls' Generation's records and images are us. I always want to test our limit. I still don't know where that [the limit] is.

 

"The age of 24 is a bit difficult. It's not just a momentary worry. It was difficult living at 23, and it was the same at 22. I have a lot of worries. I get out of these troubles quickly, but I soon fall into another. I grow like that each and every day."

 

CeCi: Do you talk about things like this often with your members?

 

YURI: I do occasionally. How long will we be able to be Girls' Generation, which direction should we take. A lot of things are talked about, from what we should eat right now, who our ideal type is, who looks cool these days, which concept would be good for our next album, or what dance would look cool.

 

CeCi: What is something that 24-year old Kwon Yuri and her members wish for the most out of [daily] life?

 

YURI: Getting along with ordinary people. I've been receiving yoga lessons recently, and I really like being amidst unnies, younger people, and mothers. Spending very ordinary time with my friends at school is a great energizer. I don't want to lose this precious time. I'm afraid of becoming trapped in the stereotype of being special. In case I get so used to special treatment that I stop being thankful for it, and in case I can't function when I'm not in the spotlight.

 

CeCi: It seems there was a moment where you realized this.

 

YURI: There was. Honestly, when looking at something special, 'Why aren't they even doing that for us?' I got mad once, too. In the end, it was a wall that I created. I get scared thinking about living in there alone now. After thinking about what I could do to prevent that wall from being created, and the answer was quite simple. It is to do things people do difficultly just as difficultly, and to do things people do easily just as easily. That's the only way.

 

"Because there is ordinary life and time, I can see myself properly. I could see that I've been receiving special treatment this entire time, that I've always gotten great, miracle-like opportunities easily, and that I'm a person who should always be thankful."

From August 10th to 19th, 30,000 visitors rushed to see SM Entertainment’s ”S.M.ART Exhibition in Seoul.” The idol powerhouse has proved its power as a brand to the international markets as half of visitors came from outside the country to see the exhibition. During these ten days, visitors have been able to appreciate premium contents from SM Entertainment, as well as new advanced IT technologies.

 

Among the most popular exhibit was the 3D hologram that allowed spectators to see SHINee‘s hit songs “Sherlock” and “Hello” as if they were in front of them. There was also a 13 meter tall tree-shaped screen in the middle of the exhibition hall that showed some of the popular music videos of its affiliated aritsts. Another exhibit allowed visitors to experience what it would feel like dancing with their favourite group simply by looking at a screen. The effect was created by merging a real time video with a pre-recorded video of the artists dancing. For those who felt uncomfortable dancing, they could pose in front of their favorite group’s enlarged album jacket or with human-sized standees of the artists. Fans were also very captivated by the virtual welcome stage where SM artists were walking on a red carpet while interacting with spectators and by a wall dedicated to SM artists’ hand prints. They also had the occasion to see some very unique items in the “Rare Items” gallery, such as stage outfits, accessories and also no less than 1,000 polaroid pictures portraying all the artists. Finally, art amators could appreciate numerous fan arts exposed in the “Fan Museum.”

 

Artists themselves regularly visited the exhibition and gave visitors an occasion to meet them in person. On the last day, the exhibition, in collaboration with Gana Art, rewarded up-and-coming artists for their artworks inspired by SM artists. Yuri fromGirls’ Generation was present to personally hand out the awards to the winners.

 

The S.M.ART Exhibition’s next stop is scheduled for April 2013 in Taiwan, starting its “S.M.ART Exhibition World Tour.” It is said that the exhibition will also stop in Japan, China, America and Europe in the future.

[TRANSLATIONS] Sooyoung and the Cast of ‘The 3rd Hospital’ Interviewed in ‘Singles’ Magazine

Sooyoung, along with her co-stars Kim Minjung, Oh Jiho, and Kim Seungwoo from her upcoming drama, “The 3rd Hospital”, were featured in the September issue of “Singles” Magazine. The cast took part in a photoshoot as well as a fun interview that showed their playful and comfortable relationship with each other. The first episode of “The 3rd Hospital” will air on September 5th at 11PM KST on tvN.

I heard Girls’ Generation’s Yuri and Sooyoung held a birthday party for Kim Minjung. I assume you would have been jealous that she has a fixed member, while the job of actors is a lonely one, always having to move alone.

Kim Minjung: That’s right. Because Girls’ Generation members are close, they visited the set often. It was interesting, and I was jealous thinking about how they could give each other strength.

There are a lot of members who have doubled as actresses, do they give you acting advice, too?

Oh Jiho: Sooyoung is the best at acting.

Now that I think about it, I’ve seen Sooyoung at a theater. If it’s to the point where you go to watch musicals alone, I thought that you were fairly serious about acting. But I learned that your sister is a musical actress?

Kim Seungwoo: Her sister will be making an appearance in the drama, too. She was good at acting. I heard she was in a musical recently, but I didn’t get to see it.

Sooyoung: After the work called ‘King Sejong’ is over, she will be starting ‘Looking For Kim Jongwook’, so come watch that. It’s something that my sister has really been wanting to do for a while.

Kim Seungwoo: Wow. ‘Looking For Kim Jongwook’? Isn’t that a gateway-like musical for stars? Your sister is popular.

Honestly, based on just looks, it would be right for Oh Jiho to do Western medicine, and for Kim Seungwoo to do oriental medicine. (laugh)

Kim Seungwoo: We should have done that. Haha. Because he has a more Western look. He’s Agrippa. It’s hard not being greasy while being this good-looking. It’s Jiho’s strength.

Oh Jiho: I worked under a company in 1998. Someone said I looked greasy as soon as they saw my profile picture.

Kim Seungwoo: It was ’98. I was a star then, paying 700 million won in taxes. (laugh)

Oh Jiho: You do that now, too.

Kim Seungwoo: I’m saying I’ve been doing this for that long. [Translator's note: implying the taxes part was a joke]

Sooyoung: Kim Seungwoo oppa’s comedy concept is ‘acting conceited’. (laugh)

Kim Seungwoo: It’s not acting conceited, but being a distinguished person. (laugh)

All the main characters are doctors and only Sooyoung is a musician. Did you not have any sense of alienation? The situation was like being the only ordinary person while everyone was in their superhero costume in the ‘Avengers’.

Sooyoung: I was a little jealous of them wearing a doctor’s gown. I normally wanted to take on the role of a doctor, but I’m the youngest on the set, and I come on as a weak character. Also, being amongst people wearing doctor’s gowns makes me feel protected, so it’s nice.

Kim Minjung: Sooyoung actually stands out the most.



You’re a member that girls like the most out of Girls’ Generation. I thought you had a more laid-back image, but I heard you’re feminine and do a lot of aegyo, too? How did you adjust?

Sooyoung: I had a little trouble at the beginning. I’m shy and am the type where it takes a long time to get close. But my role in the drama is very bright and talking informally to people I meet for the first time. I think the insides are similar though.

Kim Seungwoo: You look like you’d be like that though?

Sooyoung: Oh, really? I will take that as you saying that I act well. (laugh)

Kim Seungwoo: I’m friends with Sooyoung on KakaoTalk, and she’s no joke at acting conceited. When I wrote, ‘You’re so pretty,’ on KakaoStory, she said, ‘Hmph. You’re just noticing? I’ve been pretty’. (laugh)

Oh Jiho: She should be like that. The generation where celebrities play innocent saying, ‘I’m not~’ has passed.

Sooyoung has a lot of overseas activities. Did you film the drama amidst all of that?

Sooyoung: There weren’t that many overseas schedules. The company was considerate in letting me focus on the drama aside from group activities. It’s a pre-production. The script was out early, and because there was time to spare, I was able to focus comfortably. When I saw my other members receiving pages of scripts like a live broadcast system [Translator's note: receiving parts of the script close to the actual air date, rather than receiving the entire script at once like Sooyoung did] I thought, ‘I don’t think I could do it like that’. The members who were able to do it under those conditions are really great.

Kim Seungwoo: Don’t be surprised while watching our drama, [surprised at] Sooyoung acting so well.

Is she better than Yoona? She [Yoona] is the member who has become most situated as an actress.

Oh Jiho: From what I’ve seen, [sooyoung] is better.

Kim Seungwoo: Everyone has their own style when it comes to singing or acting, so it’s not fair comparing them, but Sooyoung was really surprising. When I met Lee Sooman privately, I complimented her, saying she was really good, and he said, ‘Sooyoung always acted the best.’

You’re a good senior. Complimenting a co-worker in front of their boss is loyalty.

Kim Seungwoo: I don’t have a business relationship with Lee Sooman and am friends with him personally. I really wanted to meet him to talk about things like this because she’s so commendable. Because judging whether her acting is good or bad is up to the viewers, I’ll set that aside, but her posture on set was really good. She wasn’t like other idols these days. She was just trying to focus, but what does a kid know. (laugh) How cute would that be.

Oh Jiho: She told me that she’s trying to focus, so not to laugh.

Sooyoung: Oppas and unnies can laugh and immediately focus when filming starts, but I can’t because I’m a beginner. But they keep teasing me before filming. They kept making me laugh, so I was sad I couldn’t focus well that day.



Is the best action scene in this to the point where the two characters grab each other’s collars?

Sooyoung: No. It’s a scene where Oh Jiho oppa pulls medicinal herbs on a cliff. I thought he was filming a sports CF. (laugh)

What order were you all cast?

Kim Seungwoo: Sooyoung was the first. The main male role wasn’t decided on, so while the scenario was being sent around, Sooyoung was still the only one confirmed.

Sooyoung: The first time I received the script was around October of last year. With the cancellation of another work I was supposed to do, I came to do this. I told them I would be in it regardless of who the other actors would be. The scenario was really good. The drama was normally supposed to air before ‘Love Rain’ and ‘Fashion King’, but because the situation didn’t turn out as desired, I kept waiting.

Oh Jiho: The viewer ratings can jump 1% just because of you.

Kim Seungwoo: The goal is 5%.

After hearing the other actors who were cast, what did you think?

Sooyoung: I’m a singer, so I worried more about what the others would think of me. I was really nervous, and I worried about whether I would cause trouble.

Kim Seungwoo: Because Sooyoung has a role that doesn’t act directly with me, I just thought, ‘She acts too now.’ Same with Minjung. We aren’t in the age group to be interested in one another. I just thought, because she’s someone who is good at acting, there wouldn’t be any hindrances. My concern was on who would be playing the role Jiho has. After hearing that the scenario was given to Jiho, I said, ‘Do you think he would do that?’ and I was told he immediately did. Who knew he was that free! (laugh)

Oh Jiho has played both manly, charismatic roles and slacking, clumsy roles, but I think an intelligent role is a first.

Sooyoung: He is normally clumsy. He has an unexpected appeal.

Oh Jiho: A doctor is a role that actors really want to play, because it’s also a dream boys have when they are little. It was a role I wanted to do as an actor, and because it’s a doctor in oriental medicine rather than one of Western medicine, I felt it suited me.

I heard you panicked during the first shoot, Sooyoung.

Sooyoung: It was difficult adjusting to the set and equipment. I went prepared, and it was a script that I saw for a long time, but because I was nervous, my acting came out forced. I panicked, thinking, ‘What’s wrong with me?’ But because they made me feel so comfortable, I adjusted quickly. I was taken care of a lot and teased a lot.

Which Girls’ Generation members have not visited the set yet?

Sooyoung: Hyoyeon, Jessica, and Sunny are the members who have not visited. I have three episodes left. Haha. But the other members bought vitamins and cupcakes, so I was really thankful.



Sooyoung’s Acting Generation

“Something that other medical dramas don’t have? Girls’ Generation.” That’s Kim Seungwoo and Oh Jiho’s joke. Kim Seungwoo, with a serious face, said that Sooyoung’s acting was better than expected. He also guaranteed that everyone would be surprised [by her acting]. While it has become the standard for a drama production crew to cast an idol for audience value, there aren’t a lot of idols who expect to build their presence amidst a crowd of middle-aged actors. With her sister being a musical actress, she has earnest affection for acting, like her singing.

Before making her name known as Girls’ Generation, she already debuted through the film “Hello, Schoolgirl”, so that dream didn’t ripen in just a day or two. While it looks like her official acting started later than her colleagues, “The 3rd Hospital” is a drama that was being prepared before other Girls’ Generation members’ dramas, such as “Love Rain” and ”Fashion King”.

In this drama, she acts as the loveable violist, Euijin, who whole-heartedly follows Oh Jiho’s character, Seunghyun, around. This role of Euijin, who has a lot of aegyo, was unfamiliar at first to Sooyoung, who says she usually is really shy. “It was hard adjusting because I was acting for the first time in a while.” However, she was able to begin finding her place as a member on set through the other actors’ affectionate teasing. “What does this kid know to say she’s focusing… Haha.” Kim Seungwoo explained what happened on set, implying she’s cute. Oh Jiho added, “She told me not to interrupt her because she has to focus.” Sooyoung reacted as if she were already used to their jokes.

Sooyoung contributed in increasing the power of the set in ways other than acting. Girls’ Generation members’ encouraging visits on set boosted the actors and male staff members morales greatly. They also held a surprise party for Kim Minjung, who had her birthday during the drama shoot. While she is an icon that the entire world already focuses on, as an actress, she is a rookie and the youngest member on set. Sooyoung accepted that position cheerfully. The reason why she does not look lonely or nervous at all starting over as “rookie actress Choi Sooyoung” and not “Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung”, is because of that.
