Toulouse creative studio founded in 2012, Slot B is born from the encounter between four visual enthusiasts.From different worlds, the members of the collective ideas and talents combine to create videos, modern and inventive.
- How did the idea of the fake teaser?How did you manage to make it known in a massive way?
The idea came to us in our creative research.We reflect on lighting systems as the "ring light".We turned this tool in creating other geometric shapes.Symbols PlayStation lent themselves particularly.With the announcement of the presentation of the Sony console at E3, the favorable media environment has led us to prioritize this project.
We chose to post the video anonymously and let it spread by itself.The lack of comment or information has helped fuel the debate, sharing and therefore visibility.
- What was your purpose in disseminating this video?You do know via the Buzz it generate or how the media would treat?
The original goal of the project was to make a quality video.The judgment of our peers is always a good way to evaluate and move forward.Since the creation of Slot B is always our goal to entertain people by telling stories.We thought it possible to go further by making a product that would allow people to invent more, to create a story around.It was also a fabulous opportunity to understand and analyze how the media would receive this announcement and to observe the spread.
- How long did it take?Is what you can get an idea of the budget that has required?
Regarding the making of the video we took over 300 hours.

Mounting four days
4 days of modeling and 3d animation
We can add three days of musical composition and 2 days mastering done by an employee.
It seems important to recognize as four days of reflection and sharing of ideas as it relies heavily in the creative process.
Regarding the budget if you do not count the material already in our possession I would around 300 euros pizza and coffee.No need to say that all participants are friends whom we thank.
- Have you been surprised by the reactions it generated?
From the outset we were convinced that this video would illusion for a while.The result was a bet we made with ourselves.Is the video enough to please continue?The Internet gave us the answer.But we were not expecting such a large scale.
- What was the most important lesson you learned from this operation?
What we learned from this experience is that nowadays, the creation and communication have evolved, are mixed.If we let one or the other side, the game is already over.This confirms our belief that we are positioning ourselves as a creative studio.Accompany a need for creating an idea in the making and broadcasting.
The voice production "classic" no longer have a monopoly on the quality and visibility and we are proud to have demonstrated.
