For those of you who don't know, the ending of FF VII: Dirge of Cerberus has

Genesis flying away with Weiss, who says that they will return and that he is already forming a new plan.

. But we haven't had a sequel to that game since, or any other FF VII title that takes place after that.

 

So i have no idea what's going to happen.

 

Maybe Square is just saving that sequel hook so if by chance they go bankrupt or something, they can just release ANOTHER FF VII game that is the sequel to that, and save themselves since all the fanboys will become rabid and blow loads of cash paying for the game.

Chance they go bankrupt? If they are going bankrupt, they will pull off the remake for Final Fantasy VII.

True. But a GOOD sequel to add to the VII compilation could work too. Just not as much as a remake of VII.

 

I do too. Maybe they'll make an actual GOOD VII game. The only good things in the VII compilation from my POV is the original VII, and Crisis Core.  The other ones weren't good. Advent Children was an ok movie.

They definitely left the ending open for a sequel, but I don't think anything like that will happen anytime within the next forever.

They just love teasing the VII fanboys with the possibility of a remake/sequel as long as possible, they probably won't do anything.

They'll do it on a whim if anything otherwise no.

Maybe.

I hope not. We've had enough of VII. I mean, it's not a bad idea, but meh.
