why does he look just like sora

i cant figure that out i was so shocked when i saw it

It has to do with the connection between Sora and Ventus. When the darkness was extracted from Ven's heart, Vanitas was created and Ven fell into a coma like trance. When Master Xehanort took Ven to Destiny Islands, Ven's heart connected to Sora's and that is what filled up the missing gap of light in Ven's heart. In turn, this complemented on the appearance of Vanitas looking like a 15 year old Sora due to Sora's heart combined with Ventus'.

Exactly like .:Cricket:. said. If it was Riku who joined heart's with Ven then Vantias would have looked like a 15 year-old Riku.

And if nothing had been done to Ventus's heart after Vanitas was born, he would look like Ven with black hair and yellow eyes.

well so ven is 15? that's why vanitas 15?

I'm guessing the reason why he looks like Sora is because,

1.young Sora heart fused with Ven giving Vanitus his apperise.

2.He could have had Ven face but chose Sora's.

3.Sorry if I get this wrong but maybe he was trying to frame him for future reference.

It doesn't make sense Vanitas was out before Sora connect with Ventus it doesn't make sense?

Or maybe, Sora is the one that looks like Vanitas. Think about it, when young Sora merged his heart with Ven, then maybe from then on, Sora started to slowly look like Vanitas.

Maybe Sora looks like Vanitas instead of Vanitas looks like Sora or both. Who knows.
