Clearly this is Square Enix's attempt to get the company out of it's horrible financial status. 

 

In Australia, the PS3 Collector's Edition is going to cost $118. Normal for a collector's edition. The regular edition will cost $48. That's pretty good. The PC Collector's Edition is going to be $98 while the regular PC edition is going to be $33.

 

However they are going to charge $38 for a 60 day time card. That's $228 for 360 days. And if you want to play the game for two years that's going to be $456. And that won't even get you two full years. You'll be 10 days short. And then the following year is a leap year.

 

Square Enix, go firetruck yourself. 

 

Well at least I've got a couple of legendary HD Collections to pick up along with Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII later in the year.

 

 

 

 

Some people will be willing to pay that money so...good for them.

O_O Wow. Well, one game to cross off of the many games i will get in the Fall. This just shows how much Square can troll its fanbase.

Actually decided last night I was going to get it, but not after reading this.

I just have them charge from my debit card every month. Like I did with XI.

 

I'm having so much fun with the beta that I'm gonna get the PS3 collector's edition and reap the benefits for the PC since I have 1.0's CE as well. 

 

It's sad to see my time with XI end after 8 years. I hope ARR can change that, I need an MMO to fill the void. 

That's insane! Come on Square, lets pull our heads out of the ground and start listening to your fans about what you should do

That is issue with all MMORPGs that have monthly payment system. 

I wasnt buying this anyway, so Im good.
