He has some fair points. My opinion is that I prefer to get new games when I can but if the game doesn't look to interesting to me, if I play it and I like it I'll probably take it back to like Gamestop since they have a warranty for like a week or something and get a new copy that is IF the disc sucks and/or it doesn't come with all the accessories like the instruction book or special DLC that I would want. Plus used games usually have scratches and I hate that all the issues with scratches on discs cause annoyance. I also don't like how if you get a used copy of a special edition you don't get the little sheets in there that have the special content codes which really sucks. Not all DLC that comes with those editions is put up for download on XBL or the Playstation Store. Downloads are also coming around huge into the market so I do like to get those especially for PC (Steam).

I buy used games simply because I cannot afford to throw down $50+ for every new game I want to get, when I know that if I wait a few weeks I can easily get it for a bigger discount (or said games aren't even on the market anymore). I do the same thing with Steam, except of course I just wait for a good deal before throwing the money down for it. Besides, why would you be so anal about minor scratches on discs? A game you bought "new" a while ago still runs fine, despite having scratches on it, doesn't it?I know "it hurts the developers" and "blahblahblah all that shit", but I'm pretty much forced to go with the more economical choice most of the time. Literally, the last game I bought brand new was Lollipop Chainsaw, and that was over a year ago.

Totally understand that ^^ If a game has problems because scratches that's like the only reason you should be mad about them, and some older system models or maybe some defective models in sorts cannot read them though other systems can. It's really just one big messy cause and effect thing. Which really honestly makes me support digital downloads a lot more.

Can't watch the video currently but I'm pretty sure I have an idea what this is about.

I tend to buy new games and used games. More so new games. I'll get a game on release if it's something I know I'll like, look for reviews for new games to see if I'll like them and only get used games if I either don't have that much money or feel the game would be better to test out myself than to trust conflicting reviews. From what I've seen PS3 discs are more difficult to mess up than past discs. I usually don't have scratch problems when buying used games either but that may be luck on my part.
