Marbly is uot now on iOS, and is entirely free.
It tasks players with connecting groups of coloured spheres to make them vanish, clearing the board via match-three moves. There are multiple paths to victory but high scores reward the most elegant solutions.
The app boasts 180 puzzles, three game modes, multiplayer mode, Game Center support and leaderboards.
Although we tend to think of him as Mr Tetris, Patinjov hasn’t actually been sitting quietly in a cave somewhere in the more than 25 years since the Game Boy killer app debuted; he’s also responsible for Wildsnake and Hexic, among others. His current studio, WildSnake Software, is named after the SNES classic.
