R.I.P Takkou Ishimori(Birth by Sleep VA)

Posted

Voice actor Nobuyuki Kobushi posted on his Twitter on Saturday that fellow voice actor Takkou Ishimori (One Piece's Sengoku, Ga-Rei: Zero's Yuu Isayama) passed away on Wednesday morning. He was 81 years old.

Kobushi commented on the event, saying "I really... Wanted to act more
and more together, and I wanted to learn a lot more from him..."

The Arts Vision office voice actor was also known for his roles as Yoshimune in Buzzer Beater, Chang Ang in Magic Knight Rayearth 2, and the king of Xerxes in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Outside of anime, he also played Ranzō Fujibayashi in the PSP version of Tales of Phantasia, the Sorting Hat in the Japanese dub of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and Bashful(1 of the 7 dwarfs)  in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.

It's a shame, from what I've heard of him, he's a good talent gone. Hope he rests in peace.

No...King Xerxes....

May he forever rest within Father's Philosopher's Stone.

He was a pretty darn good voice actor, too. *sigh* I'll miss him. I'm sure he's in a better place, now.

Rest in Peace... *bows head*

All his work will never be forgotten
