This tournament will consist of the first stage Pokémon, otherwise known as Baby Pokémon!

We will use this site as a way to battle each other by creating our own teams, you don't even have to have the game!

~Rules and Restrictions~

~ MUST be a Pokémon that is the basic evolution and NOT a Second or Final stage evolution. Meaning you can pick Pokémon like Dratini, but not Dragonair nor Dragonite.

~ Phione isn't allowed since it doesn't evolve into Manaphy, even if Manaphy breeds with a Ditto to create Phione.

~ Pokémon who don't evolve or doesn't evolve from another Pokémon can't be used. For example, Druddigon cannot be used.

~ If there is a Pokémon with LOW stats (like Ditto) it may be used. Consult me about this. 

~ Starters are allowed.

~ We will use "Custom Matches" when we battle and not "LC" (Little Cup) so we have a bit more freedom.

~ If you do not show up twice in a row, your opponent will be promoted to the next round and you will be disqualified.

Tournament Schedule:

 

June 19th - June 22nd EST = First Round

NOTE: If you finish your First Round match and your next opponent who you are going to battle in the Second Round has too and June 23rd hasn't passed, you can battle him/her early on. This applies to ALL rounds, so if you finish early you can battle early. They are due dates, you can start whenever you want BUT make sure your First Round ends at June 22nd, Second Round ends at June 25th, Semifinals ends at June 27th, and Finals ends at the last day, June 28th.

~Personal tips~

 

~ If you want to train, you can go down two routes. LC, aka Little Cup, is where you will battle with strangers on the site. It will help to let you know what you need to improve on and what is working well. Another match type, which we are going to use in this tournament and future tournaments, is "Custom Match" which will only be allowed when you battle with other users directly. Like if you go down to the list of members and challenge them, it will appear as an option. Use that match on other competitors in this Tournament.

~ Strategy. OU Pokémon strategies and LC Pokémon strategies are very different, since you aren't that strong and tough. So you will have to experiment on your teams against other LC players and competitors in order to get the gist of it. You need defensive Pokémon with Eviolite, I'm going to let you know that.

~ Fast attackers are very welcomed, theres a ton of them.

~ Stat boosts and Baton passing works very well with Focus sash.

~ Type advantage and disadvantage is very important.

~ I recommend practicing a lot, even I have trouble at times.

~ You can use up to 4 different teams. Due to it have a First Round, Second Round, Semifinals and then Finals, I think 4 different teams should suffice.

~ Switch very fast and make a lot of predictions, trust me it helps.

~ Don't get frustrated at all if you lose, sure you can be like "Damnnn" but don't go on and hate the other opponent and bash everyone else. If you do you're not going to participate anymore. 

~ Being a wall wont help always, since like I said before, LC is not OU.

Pokémon are usually forced to be level 5 even if you make them level 100, but it wont make a difference, they can still learn any moves they please. If there is a problem like "Oh this move is incompatible" then try using that Pokémon against one of the competitors in the format "Custom Match" instead of "LC".

 

Non-evolving Pokémon are banned in LC and possibly this tournament as well, like Ditto, Druddigon, etc.. Thought I wouldn't mind someone using a Ditto POSSIBLY in Custom Match, it does go against the whole "Baby Pokémon" idea.

Apparently if you play in the LC format your 'level 100 Pokémon' goes to 'level 5'.

We're going to battle in "Custom Match" during the tournament, so it should be level 100. If its not level 100 still, it doesn't really matter since our opponent is going to be level 5 too. Just put your Pokémon to lvl 100 for the meantime. 

 

LC format is used for practicing against random strangers on the site.

Custom match is used to practice against other competitors in this thread and for the tournament itself.

Put every Pokémon to level 100 regardless.

If you battle in LC format then they degrade it to level 5, but every Pokémon in LC format is level 5.

If you battle in Custom Match, which you can do by personally challenging other users on the site (I strongly recommend battling other competitors than random users since you don't want a baby team to fight against a team of legendaries by accident), it should be level 100.

 

It makes no difference what level the Pokémon is really, but leave it at level 100 and the site and do it's thing. 

I'm always up for battling so hit me up when you want to practice, since I need it too.

Evasion isn't allowed in LC, but evasion is allowed in Custom Match.

Take away evasion moves/abilities/items when you practice in LC

put back evasion moves/abilities/items when you are practicing or competing in Custom Match

Once you make a team it is saved. 

THOUGH do NOT delete your Cookies from your history EVER.

 

If you want to save your teams just incase you do delete your cookies from your history...you press "Backup/Restore all teams" and then copy all that information and save it somewhere like in a Word document, send yourself an email with the information, etc.
