Hey everyone, how's it going? As I recall, I know thar I also made a similar topic like this when I needed help in the first FF13. Okay, so here's my problem. I love FF13-2 to death, and I had started playing it but then stopped playing it because I got stuck on Augusta Tower. In order for me to proceed further, I have to find a key in another time, and I looked here and there for anything but I couldn't find anything. I unlocked Yaschas Massif 100AF and Sunleth Waterscape 400AF and I did the missions I had to do there. And yet I couldn't find anything. I got so mad that I stopped playing the game two months ago, and now that I gave it another try, I still can't proceed from Augusta tower! IN THE WISE WORDS OF PRINCESS LEIA, I QUOTE: "HELP ME KH13-KENOBI, YOUR MY ONLY HOPE! D:

that key is actually in augusta tower, i got mad too, on the floor where you cant proceed you will find the wild artefact on the floor if i remember correctly

 

unless i'm thinking of another part of the tower but im farely sure thats it

Well, if you thought the wild artifacts were hard, for the graviton cores, you have to go across a bunch of random worlds, with no lead what so ever, and find about 6 (i think) graviton cores, which are pretty decently hidden. I had to look up a guide for it ): (Then again, I 100% it)

Well, i have a huge hint for you, when searching for items in missions. When you look at a mission in the menu(Lets say you wanted to find Graviton Core Beta), you look for the certain mission which has the item you need to find, and there is a picture along with a description. The picture shows, THE EXACT PLACE THE ITEM IS LOCATED IN THAT WORLD. So, just look at the pictures for all of the graviton cores, and from that, you can figure which points in time they are located and where they are in the world.

 

Also, you only need 5 gravition cores to progress in the story, but if you want 100% completion and the Platinum trophy, you need to find all 7, plus its more CP to level up Serah and Noel. One of them is in an oerba timeline you can't unlock until you've found all of the wild artefacts, there are 10 of them.

 

Also another tip. You know that extra gate in Aclyte Steppe ??? AF, the one that cant be unlocked? You have to use Mog's moogle sense and find all of the cactuar statues in that world in order to be able to unlock that gate and use a wild artefact on it. I recommend looking up a guide for where to find all of the statues.

Actually, believe or not, there IS A LEAD FOR EACH OF THE GRAVITON CORES, But you have to be really smart to realize it, i realized it about 1/4 of the way through the game. This also works for finding every item that you must find in a side quest.

 

Notice how for each side quest(Including the graviton core one), there is a description and Image when you look it up in the list of fragments. The Image shows a place in a certain world and timeline in XIII-2, and that specific place it shows, IS THE EXACT PLACE WHERE THE ITEM IS. Thats how i found all the graviton cores, and got every other item(though some i had to use a guide for). The game never tells you this, you have to figure it out for yourself, and some people never do. I think its extremely nice for Square to implement that, but it was a dick move not to tell anyone that.

Yeah, the ending is such a mindfiretruck. It doesn't make as much sense, unless you buy the Lightning Requiem of the Goddess DLC. Then it all makes sense.

At one point in time, Caius merged with a summon(Who was Bahamut) in order to defeat his master and become the next person to protect Yeul, but merging with a summon and gaining that great power kills you in the process, but Etro gave him her heart, which is the heart of Chaos, so he could live. So when Caius 'died' in Vahalla after he impaled himself with Noel's sword, Etro's heart was destroyed, which KILLED ETRO IN THE PROCESS. Etro was the only thing keeping the chaos from Valhalla from spreading into the mortal world, and with her death, Etro's gate opened, and all the chaos fled and entered the world of Gran Pulse, and in the process merged Gran Pulse and Valhalla. Due to that, now no one can die naturally, or have new borns. People can still be killed though. This is the reason that everyone from XIII-2, except Serah, is still alive in LR FF XIII even though its 500 years later.

Serah's spirit then convinced Lightning that there was still a future worth fighting for, and so Lightning crystallized herself to preserve Serah's memory.
