It is six o'clock AM in Clock Town. Even at this early hour, there is energy growing in the town. The carpenters are hard at work, trying to get the festival tower finished. The soldiers are changing their shifts, with the night guards taking their leave so that others might guard the gates during the day. This is particularly good news to the evening guard of the East gate, who leaves his post shaking his head, sweating and looking not at all rested or relaxed. Wearily, he stumbles into the Milk Bar, hoping that the owner will be so kind as to fix him breakfast.

In South Clock Town, a boy in a yellow Keaton Mask runs swiftly down the flight of stairs from the laundry pool, deposits a letter in the postbox, and then hurriedly runs back the way he came. Only a few seconds after, one of the carpenters also approaches the postbox. Looking warily left and right, and making sure the gate guard is not looking, he puts a letter into the postbox as well, before scurrying off to try and look busy. Though, as usual, he scowls at the recruiting poster of the guard before getting back to work.

In West Clock Town, a strange, grinning man (wearing a white shirt and blue pants) prances into the city. Shielding his face as he passes the guard, he places a letter in the postbox as well, and starts to move back towards the gate. But, as if thinking of something more pressing, he decides to linger in town a little longer.

In North Clock Town, the local gang of five children, known as the Bombers, have assembled over by the tree next to the slide, and look to be discussing something rather important.

But, of course, even with night officially over, the moon still looms overhead, glaring down at the Town. If anything, it appears to be bigger than it was the day before.

What do you do on this morning?

After making her rounds around the town, Chielo began to try to look for something interesting.

"There's gotta be something interesting to do here! I came here looking for adventure!" She shouted aloud. (That moon looks like something worth investigating, but where do I begin?" She stopped walking. "Of course! I could look for a great fairy and find out what's going on with the moon! There's always one near a big town like this."

She heard children talking and decided to head towards them, until she came across the bomber children and Jack.

She pushed past all the boys, until she approached what she assumed to be the leader, bomber Jim.

"Do you know where I can find the great fairy? I need to get some information, it's urgent."

She glanced at Jack, then back at Jim (He doesn't look like he's part of this group, I wonder if he's an adventurer like me)

"Yeah," said Cindi, "Hey, do you know anything about it?" She turned to the stranger.

"Yes," Kedu answered. "I don't know what to do about it, though..." Kedu faced Cindi in the eyes. "My name is Kedu."

"Nice to meet you Kedu, I'm Cindi." Yes! Finally someone who actually knows something! "So what did you find out? I am sure we can eliminate the problem if we find its roots."

" uh yeah sure..."jack noticed chielo. "great fairy? im not sure, i think there should be one around... wanna check up there?. i have nothing better  do."

jack pointed to the hill above the bombers next to the wooden gate.

"Well...I'm not sure...I was walking, when I saw the moon!" explained Kedu. "We could ask around."

"Ok, let's try it. Should we start with the postman? He goes all over town."

"That's an idea!" Kedu jumped up and down.

Then I guess we should wait here a bit, after all the post man does have to come to the post office sometimes.

(I guess we wait for Dave now.)

"The person's name is Remis huh?" Somehiw CID had never met him, although he was almost positive he had met everyone in Termina at Lear once. The name Remis reminded CID of a legend about a man from a far away land who was raised by wolves and founded one of the greatest cities known in that land. Obviously those were just legends right? There couldn't be anymore places to explore out of Termina, CID would have discovered it by now.... CID shook his head remembering he was talking to Remis an replied, "My name? It's CID. This may be random, but do you believe in legends and fables?"

Bomber Jim eyed the other newcomer suspiciously. Obviously, the Carnival of Time always attracted more visitors, but Jim thought his gang was doing a better job of keeping tabs on who was there. Clearly, there needed to be a shake-up of diligence. "Great Fairy? Yeah, she's just over there," he said, pointing at the large cave, just off of the main road. "She's all right. Kind of loopy, though."

"She laughs scary," shuttered the other four children, knees shaking at the thought.

"Well," continued Jim, "She usually does. I mean, loud enough you can hear it. But now I think on it, I haven't heard her for about a day or two. Still, she probably wouldn't mind visitors."

Having dutifully dispensed the information, Jim turned his attention to the information he was lacking. "And now, you mooks!" he said, turning on his team and crossing his arms. "It seems to me that we're a little behind on our work! Let's get cracking and see what other things we've missed."

The Bombers sighed. "But boss!" said one, "we were gonna try and get ourselves those masks for the carnival. You know, like we were talking about?"

Jim nodded. "Yeah, but the town comes first. Right?"

Looking at one another and shrugging, the other children agreed. Then, all five placed their hands over their hearts, declared "Bomber's Secret Society of Justice forever!" and scattered, with the other four heading to different segments of the town, and with Jim, as usual lingering around the North Gate.

The Postman, it was well known, was a strict stickler for the schedule. Everything he did was oriented along a well established set of timetables, and never once did he ever deviate from it, not since he took up the job.

Thus, one might know that something was amiss when the mail was scheduled to be picked up at 9, and the Postman staggered out of his office over half an hour early. He did not look well: he eyes were red and puffy, he nose was perpetually sniffing, and he seemed to be walking a little slower than usual. Still, dutifully, he began to mechanically walk the path he had walked so many times before, as he began to check the post boxes of Clock Town, starting with the West Side.

Chielo waved to the bomber gang, and then to Jack.

(I wonder what that guy's up to) She thought, heading up the small hill to the cave of the great fairy.

She felt almost at home when she entered the cave. When her parents disappeared, the only person she could turn to was the local fairy. And so, she grew to love fairies. She always wanted to have a fairy companion to keep her company, she always did get lonely. Perhaps that could be something she could ask the Great Fairy when she talked to her.

She saw the area which Chielo assumed was the Great Fairy's living area, but all she saw were multitudes of little fairies.

"Hello?" She called aloud. "Hello? Is anyone there?"

"Is he ok?" Cindi asked Kedu. She was a bit confused why the postman was out working when he was obviously sick. She wondered if there was any way she could help.

"I'm not sure...It appears that he has a case of workingoutwhenyoursickicus..." Kedu explained. "I hope we can help."

Jack waved back, and abandoned the bombers  to go explore more.  upon exploring the other parts of clock town, jack found a purple headed boy in a keaton mask. the boy checked a near by post box and ran off. there was something strange about this kid.  jack followed the boy in search of adventure. the boy ran up some stairs onto a  bridge with some water under it. the boy ran into a house so fast jack couldn't get a word out. and shut the door in jacks face. jack felt the urge to break into his house for some reason. he tried ringing the post mans bell a couple times but the result were always failure. while giving up on his breaking and entering job, he noticed a disturbing looking fairy. jack picked it up and continued on.

"I have never heard of that. What can we do?" Cindi looked rather puzzled.

The Great Fairy fountain always glowed with ethereal power. The waters in which the Fairy dwelt always shone as though reflecting sunlight, and in spite of the complete absence of natural light within the cave, it somehow managed to remain entirely illuminated. Of course, at this particular time of Cielo's entrance, the glow was added by the addition of several dozen tiny pink specks hovering around, with a phosphorus-like aura around them.

Closer examination would reveal, however, that these pink specks were, in fact, fairies of a much smaller variety than usually graced the presence of the Fountain. Upon Cielo's voice echoing in the cave, another voice, whispy and airy as if barely within the world at all, spoke. "My child," it said, and the mass of fairies all began to glide gracefully towards the young lady. "I'm... afraid you have found me in a state of duress. I am... or, at least, WAS the Great Fairy of this Town." A silence, and then, "But how may I help you?"

The Postman had yet to actually get out of West Clock Town. In fact, he nearly walked straight into the Banker's stand, though he seemed to not even acknowledge it. "I can't stop to talk," he mumbled in his own defense as he staggered away from the stand. "I am on... I am on... A-choo!" He sneezed so hard that his hat nearly fell off. "I am on schedule." He finished.

"But you're the one who walked into me!" called the Banker, with no avail, at the Postman, who managed to at least get enough wherewithal back to walk the correct direction on the street.

"The mail... sniff... must go through," he murmured as he passed directly in front of Cindi and Kedu. Then, his armor cracking for just a moment, rued under his breath, "Wish I had some medicine... sniff..."

No sooner had Jack nabbed the small fairy in the Laundry Pool than it began speaking, more shrill than perhaps it meant to. "Oh! Good sir! If you don't mind, could you perhaps return me to my Fountain? It would mean an awful lot..."

(First thing's first, Chielo) She thought to herself.

"I was wondering if you knew anything about the moon? It's so big, and I'm pretty sure it has a face..." She moved her fire bracelets around nervously, realizing how stupid she sounded.

(I am an idiot.) Cindi finally remembered the potions she had in her pocket. She took one out and hurried after the postman.

"The moon." The resigned sigh with which the Fairy(s) said this should have been more than enough indication that things were indeed ominous. "It has been that way for a while, now. It stays during the day, never rotating out of its cycle, and that horrid face carved into it has its eyes fixed on this town. They say... Well, no, it has been getting larger, and quite regularly. As for how close it will come, I cannot say." The myriad of Fairies seemed to dim in sadness. "The cause of this phenomenon... I should hate to point fingers without ample proof, but I feel certain now. There is, in town, an imp, who is capable of much mischief. It was he who rendered me as you see me now. And I believe that, if the moon is coming closer, he is the cause. Do not ask me where he got such power, or even where he is right now, for I'm afraid I do not know."

Walking unsteadily down the road, the Postman, usually alert of all around him, was quite  surprised to see Cindi appear next to his side. "Ah!" he cried, but then, as if mentally chastising himself, added, "How may I help you? I'm c-c- Ca-CHOO! Sniff... currently on schedule, and can't stop for long." (As indeed he was: in an odd turn of events, his accident at the bank had led him to 9:00, which was when he would have been starting anyways).

"Excuse me sir!" Shouted Cindi, finally catching up to the postman, "I have an extra potion. Do you want it?"

"sure" jack brought the fairy up to the fountain. Only noticing the beautiful scenery, he let go of the fairy
