May approached the DWMA. "Wow... It's a lot bigger than I imagined it would be..." She muttered as she stepped up the stairs to the entrance. Class was starting in half an hour. May had made sure to get there extra early so she wouldn't miss her first day. She walked through the door and nervously walked to her classroom. She sat towards the back and pulled out her textbook to get a head start on the day.

"First day at an academy, huh? Must be nice." Joshua muttered under his breath, looking highly up and into the distance of the huge academy. (It's enormous....) He thought in awe, almost falling back from how high up he had to look. Joshua wasn't exactly the tallest around, either, even for his age he was diminutive. He sighed. (I wonder how the people are here....) He continued walking up the outside stairs and towards the academy. (Now that I look at it a bit more, the DWMA's exterior looks extremely...symmetrical, I guess. It's nice.)Alexander slowly strolled on towards the DWMA as the others were, although, much further behind. He could see it, but wasn't exactly close to it. Class didn't start for a while, why get there early? Being late was never good, but early didn't exactly catch Alexander's gist of things, either. He had his headphones plugged in, listening to some rather dark music. With his fairly long hair covering his right eye, Alexander stared off blankly with his left. (Why am I going here, again? Whatever, I'll see how it is.)

(Paloma)

Paloma stood on the steps to the entrance of DWMA, and looked at the academy as a whole.

She rubbed her head, and sighed. "The outside of this place is so... Symmetrical. How boring!" She shouted, continuing up the steps. "I hope the missions we go on won't be as boring." She joked, beginning to skip.

At the top of the flight of the stairs, at the entrance to the academy, she glanced at all the students, and began to become intimidated by them

(Everyone is so taller and older than me...) She thought, pushing past all the students. (I didn't expect to be this different from people here...)

Continuing to get a good look at all the students she passed by, she noticed a boy about her age also strolling through the crowd of students.

"HEY YOU!!" She yelled, pushing down everyone in her way and tackling down Joshua.

"Sorry, didn't mean to make you fall, but man I'm so glad I found someone shorter than me!" She shouted in delight. "I'm 11, how old are you?! Are you a meister or a weapon like me?! If you're a weapon, what kind of weapon?! Huh?! Huh?!" She had so much excitement pouring out of her that everyone around them seemed to avoid the scene.

 

(Kenji)

Kenji had gone down the stairs inside the academy that had led to Death's chambers, the place he had called home, belonging to the person he called father. However despite being familiar with his surroundings, now that he was actually enrolled at the academy and considered a student, he was looking at it from a whole different perspective. Some people that passed him recognized him as Death's "step son" but luckily for the most part no one knew who he was. That was good for Kenji, he didn't want to attract attention based on living under Death's large shadow.

Glancing at the scene that was occurring between Joshua and Paloma, he decided to go over and help out the situation.

"Looks like someone is in a bind, huh?" He said jokingly to Joshua. This usually wasn't like Kenji to be so social, but he was desperately trying to make friends, and get away from being Death's adopted son, being able to create his own identity. "Need a hand?" He asked.

"Finally enrolled, huh. Took longer than expected, but I guess it's better than never..." Shift☆Star thought as he walked out of the Administration office. He decided to wander the halls a little, since there was still time before the big first day. "Pencil's... Paper... Other generic school supplies, okay. I'm ready..." He muttered.

Joshua barely had any time to even say anything before he was tackled and fell down to the floor with some girl on top of him. "Ow...." He complaint, just lying on the floor, unable to get up for as long as she was on him. (Well at least I don't have to worry about catching too much attention...they're avoiding us at all costs....) Joshua thought as the crowds strolled away. He tensed up a bit, feeling his stomach pressured against the floor. "I- its okay...don't worry about it." He said in reply to her first comment, completely ignoring what she said about his height. "Calm down a bit...I'm eleven too...and a weapon." Joshua spoke now with a bit of a raspy tone, for now, until the girl would stand up and off of him. "I'm...um...I guess you could say a chain. Really long too, someone once asked me how someone so short could be such a ranged weapon...." Hesitating, he still said that even when regarding his height. In a bit, he saw someone else come to his side too, rather than ignore him like the rest. (Did I do something to attract these random people towards me like some kind of magnet?) Joshua sighed. "I guess you could say I'm in-between a rock and a hard place...." He complaint again. "I think I'm fine...I think...."Alexander came strolling along as well. He walked up the stairs only to see a young enthusiastic girl, a tackled boy, and what was hopefully a normal guy. (Eh? These are some of the people I'm peers with?) Alexander thought with a sigh of his own. He glanced at the three, but ended up ignoring them and walking ahead.

Sairi carefully opened the door to DWMA. It was a new school and a new year and she had absolutely no idea what she was leading herself into. Sliding herself through the door, Sairi looked around a bit nervously. Her imminent instinct was to find someone not so flashy and hide behind them basically. She kept walking though trying to keep her focus on the hall. Soon enough, Sairi was stopped by stairs. Beginning to walk up them, she looked at the people around her. Her mischievous eyes catching someone who was rather bored looking...Alexander. It took running up three steps to get behind him. Sadly Sairi couldn't bug him right now because of the fact he had headphones in. She'd have to wait.

"Whoa! It''s alot bigger in person!" Mizuri walked into the DWMA with butterflies in his stomach at first his shy nature took over he was walking slowly and silently approaching the group socializing and introduced himself. "H-h-hi, my name is Mizuri★Aigkawa nice to meet you!" He flashed a shy but outgoing smile and stood there. He saw so many new students just like himself. So many students in his position, partner-less. He knew he would find someone now.

Akane walked into the DWMA with a rather bored expression. As she walked she noticed a group of new students apparently getting to know each other. "Ugh, newbies." she muttered and just walked on over to class, not bother to greet anyone. When she got there, Akane took a seat in the middle row and propped her feet up on the desk but noticed someone else was already here. She looked back behind her to see a girl sitting way in the back. "So i take it that this is your first day here?" she said loud enough for the girl to hear her but didnt sound that interested.

May looked up from her book, startled that someone else was there and trying to talk to her. "Y-yes! I'm M-May Fare, today's my first day! I came here so I could learn to be a decent Weapon, at least..." She stuttered, answering the question of the girl that just walked in. "Wh-who are you?" She asked, hoping to get to know someone in her class on the first day. She felt really nervous, but she tried not to let it show too much. Of course, with all the stuttering she was doing, she was having a hard time not showing it.

Shift☆Star walked through the hall. Groups of people building up everywhere, some of them addressing them, but he just kinda shuttered and shakily responded "I-I'm sorry... I'm t-touring the school right now...". He kept walking, he saw lots of the school. "Lots of mirrors... Either they really want Death to be able to be called at a moments notice, or they are really vain..." He thought, walking through the halls of the DWMA. Eventually, he found a room marked Class Crescent Moon, and walked in. "Oh, two already!? I was hoping to get here and settle in before people would be able to look at me..." He thought, he looked around the room and looked for the best seat he could get. "That red-head is sitting in the best seat, my only other options that would work effectively are in the directions above, blow, left, and right. But I think she's a older student, so maybe..." He muttered as he walked over to the same area as Akane, then sitting down next to her.

(Paloma)

 

Paloma rolled off of Joshua, and quickly jumped up.

"Sorry, I'm glad I made some friends though. I mean, we're friends now right?" She said to Joshua and Kenji, smiling.

She looked to the nearest classroom. "I'll see you guys in class. By the way, I'm Paloma." She said, winking at them before running into the classroom.

Paloma quickly looked for a seat, and saw some near some students that were already there.

"Mind if I sit there?" She asked them, but didn't wait for a reply. She jumped over the many desks that were between her and the other students, and then landed into a seat in between Akane, Shift Star and May

Kenji laughed. "Here, let me help you up."

He began to grab Joshua's hand,and when he made contact with it, he felt a jolt.

"Whoa! Did you feel that?" He asked Joshua. "It was like, a spark or something..."

Brushing his hands off, he looked to Joshua. "Did you say you were a weapon?"

Akane narrowed her eyes at her. "Well May, I'm Akane but that's all you'll need to know for now." She said and looked back to see that two other students were sitting near her. She slammed her hand hard on the desk and stood up. "And who are you exactly?!" she said to the  guy sitting next her her, sounding a bit dramatic. "Another newbie, eh? Well you look like a meister. Are one of those idiot meisters that can't use a weapon right??" Akane didn't wait for an answer. "Better not be at least. Plus when did they start allowing cute little munchkins into this school?" she said and looked over at Paloma and sat sat. Akane propped up her feet again and crossed her arms behind her head. "I'm Akane by the way."

(May's actually a few rows behind Akane and Shift☆Star. )

 

May sighed. "Oh..." She muttered, then went back to her book. Akane didn't seem interested in her... May looked up to see two new people that had entered the room. She sat upright out of surprise. She thought that the students wouldn't arrive for a while. It seemed like Akane was arguing with a girl that had just walked in... It reminded her of the first school she went to, being the one who was teased. She felt sorry for the poor girl, and was hoping that she'd be okay.

With an exceptionally good hearing, Alexander turned as a song ended. He looked behind him, seeing someome. A girl. That was normal, of course...but why was she behind him? Ever since...well, its been a long time. Alexander glared at the girl for a moment, still with his blank expression. Not only that, but there was nervousness in his eyes now. He slowly looked away, turned another song on and walked away. He walked away, slightly faster this time. (Tch...why me? They can go bother someone else...just...not me.)

 

 

After the girl basically rolled off, Joshua stayed in mild pain...just realizing he was slightly shorter than the girl, and farunder the guy. He was just now able to see the difference in height. The guy, Kenji, wasn't exactly the tallest around, but he was fairly taller than Joshua. He nervously glances at Paloma, the enthusiastic girl who may cause him more pain with tackling than any opponents would. "U-um...sure...I guess we're friends...?" He muttered, still nervous, but now cautious of everyone else around him. Joshua looked at Paloma as she left...he didn't even get to tell her HIS name. She just greeted herself and left. With a sigh, Joshua took Kenji's hand, backing up after. "Ow...!" He twitched. It didn't hurt much, still, saying 'ow' was an instinctive reaction, regardless of it actually hurt or not. Joshua stood up after, once more seeing the height difference. "Yeah...I felt that. I'm a weapon, too...."

Shift☆Star was kinda frightened by Akane's actions. "Uh... I... Uh..." He stammered, he didn't know quite what to say. "I-I'm Shift☆Star... But please, just call me Shift... A-and I-I can use weapons... I-I was born to fight... But I don't think I'm too good... B-But I guess it's go-good to mme-meet you...?" He said, kinda frightened. "S-Sorry... I'm not too... G-Good around new people...."

Arch opened the door to the DWMA, and headed over to the classroom, where apparently everyone else is. He started looking around the classroom and noticed the large group of people, which he loved large groups of anything, really. Friends, food, enemies to kill. He walked up to them and said, "Heya peeps! Name's Arch, fellow meister of the DWMA! Wazzup wazzup!?"

Akane glanced over at him. "Geez, chill. I'm not going to kill you or anything." she said, looking a bit annoyed. "And what luck, I'm a weapon myself buuuut i have no partner sadly." She paused as another person walked into the classroom, but she didn't pay that much attention to them and continued to seemingly brag. "Such a privilege that you all will be able to witness my other form soon. You should be grateful."

Akane glanced over at him. "Geez, chill. I'm not going to kill you or anything." she said, looking a bit annoyed. "And what luck, I'm a weapon myself buuuut i have no partner sadly." She paused as another person walked into the classroom, but she didn't pay that much attention to them and continued to seemingly brag. "Such a privilege that you all will be able to witness my other form soon. You should be grateful."

"O-Okay... I don't have a weapon partner, though..." He said, kinda nervous still because she was so loud and proud. "I-I can say... I've never met anyone quite like you, though..."

Arch kinda has a blank face. "Jeez...tough crowd...ah well! We'll get along eventually, and I need a weapon, anyways, so...yeah!" It's clear he's just acting very hopeful now.

(Paloma)

 

Paloma glared at Akane.

"Who you calling a munchkin, you dumb broad! I don't need a meister to kick your but you know!" She transformed her arm into part of the blade of her full weapon form.

"If you wanted a fight, all you had to do was ask." She smirked at Akane.

 

(Kenji)

 

(He's a weapon, and we both felt a spark when I grabbed his hand) Kenji thought to himself. (We've never met before, but I've read that when you find your true partner, you sometimes feel a spark... Then again, it could have been static)

Kenji shook his head to snap out of his trance. "Sorry, I get lost in thought sometimes. Shall we head to class?" He asked in a friendly manner. "I'm Kenji by the way. I'd shake your hand, but we might shock each other again." He said jokingly.

"Tch, you mean you've never met a girl before?" Akane asked. "Well that's a first. I dont' know if i could be your weapon partner though because..." she leaned over and her voice went down to a whisper. "People has been having problems trying to match my soul frequency." Akane backed up a bit. "I still dont think it's my fault though- but dont you ever tell anyone about this!" she said and jabbed her finger at Shift's chest. Akane heard her name and looked back. "Oh well look, the munchkin is trying to pick a fight with me." she said and stood up. "It's okay dear, I'll kick your butt quickly." And with that, part of her right arm transformed into a sharp grey blade, part of her weapon form

Joshua looked up at Kenji and nodded once. "Sure...we don't want to be late to class after all...." He muttered and began walking with him. (Hm...why did it shock? Is it because we're compatible partners? Or...because we're incompatible? I don't know.) Joshua thought, continuing to walk and approaching class. "Kenji? I'm...Joshua...Akira. Joshua Akira...but you can call me Josh. I mean...if you want...." Joshua uttered, under his breath where no one could probably hear him except Kenji right now. They walked into the classroom, seeing the others. Joshua sighed, seeing Paloma and another, older girl. Joshua walked ahead in the second row seating, looking over to the others though. "Paloma...just leave her. Don't continue a fight on the first day...."

May looked up and squeaked a bit. She wasn't expecting to see a fight like this going on during her first day. "P-please, stop!" She said, a lot quieter than she'd hoped. She was too scared to speak up much louder. She hated being dragged in to fights, but she also hated having to watch this one.
