Since Vanille and Fang were trapped in the same crystal, if one of them got out(Fang) the other most likely escaped aswell(Vanille). Im pretty sure they're both free. The question is, why aren't they together? They have an immense bond the 2 of them share(Like sisters....Or lesbo's) not to mention all they've been through in XIII-1 aswell.

 

Maybe Vanille and Fang went their seperate ways because they picked sides on what they thought was the right thing to do. I mean, its possible, look at how Snow and Noel have turned their backs on Lightning and want her dead now, despite all they've done together in the past. Fang's now the leader of a gang of Desert Bandits, so what could Vanille be doing? Speaking of which, WHERE COULD SAZH BE? He just up and dissapeared, we still dont know where he is now.
