I really want to dive into this anime and everything about it. I'm sick of watching crappy sci-fi with no depth in terms of story and character. Can anyone link me to where I can find the episodes and give me a list of which movies to watch in order?

Never seen you post before.I can't give you a link right now since its been awhile since i stopped watching anime to focus on gaming.Try GoGoanime, they have alot of anime,I used them alot before.

Ironic that I need to watch that series too....and that I am watching End of Evangelion without watching the anime first...

What does that even mean?

Watch the whole series and then End of Evangelion. The newer rebuild movies are optional, as they are just an alternate telling of the show.
