I don't feel this way now. I did with Nine and Ten though. And this is despite liking Eleven more than Nine.

A lot of people do that. It's rather annoying. -___-

I would of liked 11th more if Moffats writing did him more favours, when Moffat took head as main writer the series kinda took a nose dive for the worst, there still have been some very good episodes (mainly the Name of the Doctor and the one with the minotaur in the hotel) but Matt Smiths Doctor kinda seemed like a clone of David Tennants quirky side without any serious elements to it which bothered me, I more blame Moffats writing than the acting ability of Smith though. Which is weird because I believe Moffat wrote some of the best episodes before he took over as head writing (The Empty Child, Blink) etc.

I actually enjoyed 11 a lot, he wound up being my most favourite Doctor. He isn't that serious unless when he needs to be, but he is very curious and eccentric when there is nothing terrible going on. When he feels a bit sad and someone realizes, he quickly changes his tone of voice and becomes happy for the sake of the other person. Like he is clouding his depression with optimism, after all the 10th Doctor regenerated when he was severely depressed. Some of the episodes are pretty weak, but I actually like more than half of the episodes when he came along. I think his writing is weak right now though, there is a lot of rushing.
