hi! my wifi connection works for all things 3ds but when i put a ds game into my 3ds i have to make another wifi setup. that i can understand but then it said that my wifi didnt work for it and that my wifi setup wasent compatible with the nintendo ds. why does it work for my 3ds but not ds? is it becouse i have WPA2 instead of WEP?

Yes, that is the reason. Most DS games will only accept a WEP security setting when connecting to the internet. It is pretty annoying, especially since most internet connections don't use WEP anymore.

Yeah that's why. DS is WEP only unfortunately. The only DS games that are an exception to this is Pokémon Black2/White2 I believe. Or just B/W in general.

Yeah it sucks and WEP its pretty hackable.

Really? I coulda sworn that's the only one that I'm actually alright with in terms of DS connections. 'Cause by the time they released it, the DS was pretty much dead and loads of people had a 3DS, so that's why they made it compatible with non-WEP on the 3DS.

As stated above it's only working on the outdated WEP

Just play your DS games on your 3DS
