Have you ever been in the situation when you caught a Legendary with your Master Ball,only to realize that you have another Legendary left or you're saving your Master Ball for a much stronger Legendary????

 

This is the kind of situation where you'll have to stock on a shit ton of Ultra Balls.That's exactly what happened to me in Soul Silver

 

Before I go on I gotta ask,which is the most annoying Legendary to catch without a Master Ball????

 

You might wonder why I told you what I said above??? Because I discovered who it really is:

 

HO-OH

 

 

As much as I love Ho-oh and he's one of my favorite Legendaries,Ho-oh has to be the most annoying battle I ever had in a Pokemon game without a Master Ball

 

Ho-oh's catch rate is so low that you'll spend an unbelievable amount of Balls to catch it.It's catch rate is 3 (0.4%)  (Taken from Bulbapedia)

 

I used 50....that's right...OVER FIFTY ULTRA BALLS....AND STILL WASN'T ENOUGH TO CATCH IT DESPITE THAT I PARALYZED IT AND IT HAS VERY LITTLE HP LEFT....I finally caught it on my 55th Ultra Ball.

 

You might be wondering why I didn't use my Master Ball against Ho-oh,the answer is because I was saving it for Mewtwo....I used so many balls on Ho-oh that I couldn't imagine how many balls it would take me to catch Mewtwo since I didn't look up his catch rate back then.

For me it was the unos dos and tres.

 

And the Regis. And then three years after I caught all three of them someone tells me that there's a pattern to catching them. 3YEARS

I didn't catch them in White 2, but in Platinum they were annoying as firetruck. 

It's all luck based around catch rates but through experience, the musketeer trio in BW are annoying to catch for some reason. 

I never use Master Balls to catch legendaries.

I save them for no reason...

A good reason to save one would be for a shiny.

 

That way there's no risk in accidentally killing it, or if you get unlucky and find a shiny pokemon that's able to flee from battle.

I'd have to say ones that run make it a bit more annoying lol

Truthfully, the one pokemon the Gotham Ninja has had the most trouble catching without a master ball would have to be Rayquaza. I get so close to catching it when I'm suddenly out of balls. I'm like, WHAT!? YOU KIDDIN ME!? NOW!?
